What do you think a plant like bamboo can do? Make some traditional furniture, handicrafts, or buildings like houses? But under the wave of modern technology, the use of bamboo has gone far beyond the traditional scope.
In the 21st century, Chinese researchers began to explore the potential of bamboo in the field of new materials, hoping to transform this traditional material into a core element of future technology.
After countless experiments and failures, scientists finally succeeded. They transformed bamboo into manufacturing materials for high-speed trains, which successfully exceeded 100 kilometers per hour in tests.
China's breakthrough in new train technology has attracted the attention of the world. Especially Japan, a former high-speed rail power, has to be shocked by China's rapid catching up and surpassing in high-speed rail technology.
However, this cutting-edge technology has elicited mixed reactions internationally. Engineers from Japan, in particular, expressed doubts about this novel material choice. After all, the traditional manufacturing material for high-speed rail trains has always been steel. This material is not only strong and practical, but has also undergone strict safety verification and widespread recognition around the world. In contrast, bamboo trains will cause people to worry about safety.
So, why did China develop a bamboo train? How will this new type of train solve safety problems?

The idea of bamboo high speed train itself is mind blowing; if they are already building them, to withstand even a 100 KM speed, that is already exciting. Who would have thought that the bamboo sticks, which find in baskets to carry small weights around, could make a TRAIN!! bravo and hats off to China.

The new hi-tech bamboo material can replace many products that are made of plastics and metals used in corrosives environment.
India can use this material to construct their Hi- speed Train which normally runs at about 100 mph the cost savings is very significant. For that matter, USA too can employ this materiam in all their Sub-way trains, and possibly in their Am-track at tremendious caost savings.

    • @DW-op7ly

It feeds one of the Earth’s rarest species. It was the writing surface for some of the earliest books. It could prove essential in reducing vast amounts of carbon emissions - and China has more of it than anywhere else.
Bamboo, the tall, thick grass perhaps most popularly known as the chief component of the giant panda’s diet, has a number of uses even in the present day. The sturdy stalks can be fashioned into scaffolding or roofing, and the pulp can be woven into a variety of fabrics. This versatility has China, in the midst of a long-term effort to meet carbon peaking and neutrality goals, considering the substance as a replacement for petroleum-based plastics.
