The West can’t believe it, but China’s $10 billion New African City Changes Everything

President Biden once said that infrastructure is the measure of a country’s modernization level. But in this regard, I think China's achievements are particularly outstanding. Statistics show that they have more than 1 million bridges and 45,000 kilometers of high-speed rail. Their scale and modernization surpass the United States in many aspects.
However, China’s influence goes far beyond that. As a long-term strategic partner of many African countries, China has also brought its experience and technology in infrastructure construction to the African continent.
Located 30 kilometers south of Luanda, Angola, this place was once a wilderness that no one had ever set foot on. But now a modern house is rising here. This is because China invested US$10 billion to build 700 apartment buildings and more than 20,000 residences. This new city, which can accommodate 230,000 residents, has changed the living environment of local residents.
However, China's behavior of helping African countries through infrastructure has aroused concern and controversy in Western countries. They believe this is a "neo-colonial" strategy aimed at controlling African countries through infrastructure construction.
So what difference does this new $10 billion city make for Angola? What is the purpose of everything China is doing here?

Wow, China invested 10 billion usd and built a new city in the Kelamba region in Angola. Kelamba new town now thrives with schools, water facilities, jobs and 700 apartments to house 200000 people. China has truly made a miracle and improves the living conditions of the people in Angola, a Great win-win cooperation between China and Angola.

When Chinese came to Africa, they talked about trade.
When Americans came to Africa, they talked about China.

Well it's great to see someone helping Africa. The old colonial days are long gone and few of the countries never got anything from the colonial western nations. Colonial nations took and took and kept it for themselves "(robber barons)" and gave very little back.

China rightly deserve a lot of commendation, respect for their good thoughts and dedication to see Africa in a possitive light.
    Thank you China!

China is saviour to most African countries where others ignored and rejected after these western nation colonised and impoverished them. China still believed in African countries to take the risk with so much money put in place to help them. Now the world can see the Chinese model work so well in China can also works everywhere. Without China's help, who else. China is the only country that can help these impoverished nation rise up, with their vast resources and high level of technologies.

I would like to see a vlog with someone walking around this city, showing us what it is like now. Also explain the cost of apartments, the buying process & how Angolan gov't administers the city. All of this is very interesting & shows what the development of Africa can be.

Kilamba is one of more than 10 centralities china as built in Angola+ the new airport with it's not open yet all this is a vision of the former president Jose Eduardo dos Santo's but its not free Angola is paying for this in oil as of today Angola debt to china is over 40 billion dollars but theres lots of communities in Angola who are left out because bridge's were blown out during the war and the government as done nothing is doing nothing to reconnect those communities in comparison to other African countries Angola is being left behind in all areas of development

One priority that China must supply to Angola is the establishment of a military defence manufacturing sector.
When you have total control of your defense it is the time you can claim true independence.

8:16 I don't if this is in Angola or China but the fact that the high rise apartment buildings is surrounded by green foliage is very much a Chinese style. The greens create a soft earthy feel. The 8:50 buildings the Chinese built looks ugly, very basic. They just painted a strip of different paint in their buildings.

Is the Angolan government not able to set up a state-owned construction company jist as China has done? Why should we have to depend on oursiders to build even the most vasic things?
