Wowsie, so much information, and so very well done! Excellent, excellent effort, Kraig! I've added this to my favorites, to make it easier to go back and review again. Thanks for this!

Compound clip with the ken burns and speed ramp, oh yeah, that's exactly what I needed.
Great job, Kraig, thanks again for sharing all your knowledge.

Awesome explanation. I really shows everything you can do in FCP X plus all the cool places you filmed and how you managed to get those shots. This BTS shows exactly how much work it takes to make a clean product. Congrats.

This is great Kraig! Thanks for making it. I'm appreciating your work more and more. I loved what you did with WFS, and was sad because I thought we'd be missing your great BTS/Tutorials. But, this is even better for myself and I'm sure other folks who don't want wedding films to be the end all/be all. Thanks again!

Really liked this vid. I did notice the speed change at the beginning and end of the clips. And that fan shot totally stuck out in my mind for some reason. Inspired me to shoot something similar of LA!

Great tips and the plucking and pulling up is clever! I also struggle with the order of my clips, I like how you mix locations and activities. I usually try to keep locations or activities in order which makes the edit harder and not as unexpected I guess.

Vignette can be exacerbated on wide angle because light from edge-directions passes diagonally through the ND filter, hence a greater thickness of it, as compared to light from straight ahead.

    Few questions.
    1. Did you use a snorkling filter for the gopro? If not, do you wish you had used one?
    2. Did you use ND filters while flying the mavic?

Great video Kraig. Question: When you do a video in changing light, do you keep AWB on the full time or do you set it at a specific kelvin and shoot it that way so it doesn't adjust as the light changes?

I'm thinking about moving from Premiere Pro to FCPX, but a major reason that i use Premiere is that i can use adjustment layers to add a grade to the whole video. Is there any way to do this in FCPX??

Another great BTS! I also enjoyed your mammoth 10hrs of BTS on editing on WFS, I learned a ton. In that 10hr one you talked a lot about storytelling with tiny sequences, how much of that did you do in this one? I know you mentioned you started with chronological order, but then changed things around. How? Often travel videos seem like random shots put together.

    • @Orangeman47

    • @marekjaworski5965
      @marekjaworski5965 7 ปีที่แล้ว

SerenityNow, I still hope Kraig will answer but I did my homework and looks like FilmConvert is better, for me at least.
      1. you can adjust WB
      2. just pick what camera you was using and the software is doing magic. Than you can tweak it further.
Probably there is more but this convince me enough to try this plugin.
Looks like you can find deals/sales online for it to get it 1/3 cheaper (in the price of ColorFinale) but for now I'll just download it for free as trial to play.
