Wasn't able to be at the live stream, but totally love the format! This is really refreshing.
Love the process Kraig. Mahalo.
Look into the Lost Coast trail in northern California. Only about 24 miles long but certain parts of the trail are impassable during high tide.
looks pretty cool. just snagged a permit for an overnight late March cuz it was only $6 so that might happen now!
I’ve done this hike. Great hike. We saw bear tracks in the sand and saw a river otter on a waterway that empties into the ocean. Hiking in sand is a bit brutal, but well worth it.
@@kraigadams I did the hike back in 2022. Fun hike, sand in the beginning is deflating but just make sure you have a copy of the tides. If a storm hits while doing hike. It can be brutal. Stong winds, make sure put tent in hidden. Spot from wind.
Thank you for the tag. Hope you find some good trip before the baby
Hey Kraig, come to Banff in Alberta, multiple day hikes can be Skoki Valley, Lake OHara, Assiniboine, Egypt Lake, Tonquin Valley, Skyline Trail and so many other ones :)
Hi Kraig, i love your videos, man, here in Brazil have some places to hiking, like Monte Roraima and Chapada Diamantina
I live on Kauai. Summer is the best time to hike Kalalau, we’ve had a rainy winter and spring will likely continue to be rainy. Flash flooding will close the trail and it’s not fun to hike when wet and slick. I hiked Kalalau over Halloween and parts of the trail were ankle deep in mud. Summer the trail will be more busy but most people only go 2 miles in. September would be the best month, cooler temps, still drier weather but less crowds since summer is over
Kalalau is only 11 miles each way, 11 miles to kalaue beach and camp, 11 miles back the same way you came. 22 miles total. Ive done it, so its very doable.
death valley right now would be cool. lots of snow capped peaks surrounding. and good temps. i think as talented and creative as you are, you could make a great video and even have some fun!
I was in Death Valley this weekend. I went solo and had a blast. The ephemeral lake in Badwater, Lake Manly, is really cool to see. People brought canoes, kayaks and stand up paddle boards to venture out on the water. But Death Valley reminds me a lot of Big Bend NP. Didn’t seem like you had a good time there so I don’t know if it would be an interesting video coming from you. Not the right time of year for it, but have you thought of doing the High Sierra route?
Hey Kraig! Sorry I missed the live stream. Oh and I vote for Hawaii over Death Valley any time!!!
Hi! Check out the Huemul Circuit in Argentina? It's 40 miles, such a great backpacking trip!
That was a fun circuit. Pretty adventurous crossing the rivers without a harness.
Hey Kraig,
I work at an Adventure camp in Canada that runs an Outdoor leadership program for a local Bible college and every year they do a 21 day trip in Death Valley for their year 2 students. If you're interested in doing anything in Death Valley, I could put you in contact with a couple of our guides, one who's done this trip 5+ times and the other who is taking over for him next year who has done it twice now.
I missed the stream and don't have time to watch but wanted to reach out in case that would be helpful. Peace ✌️
I haven't watched this in its entirety, but maybe Costa Rica, hiking up Cerro Chirripo. Weather should be pretty good this time of year, somewhat of a short flight, 12,000'+ peak, not too crazy expensive, etc. Still would obviously require a lot of research. Azores would be cool, though.
Hard to get West Coast Trail permits. Need to plan in January for the May-September season. No one does it during the winter (Oct - April). I’m from Vancouver Island. You might consider a more low key alternative, the North Coast Trail. Similar wildlife and scenery, a fraction of the people, no crazy permit system (simply buy $10/night backcountry online). I did it a few years ago. Saw whales, wolves, bears. Can’t compare to WCT because I haven’t done that, but enjoyed. Can be extremely physically challenging depending on the mud situation. Happy to give more beta if you’re interested.
Are there any grizzly bears or other dangerous animals along the north trail?
What protection do you bring against the animals?
Azores without a car will be tough. Each time I've visited, I always end up giving a ride to some other tourists who didn't rent a car. Not many taxis and they run odd hours. But maybe hitchhiking will make for good content!
i like hiking guy! he has a good cactus to clouds video 🌵
totally gonna watch that next stream to prep cactus to clouds
Have you thought about the Wonderland trail in Washington?
seems similar to the Timberline trail. Big old loop around a peak. On my list
The Portuguese "montanha" is pronounced almost in the same way of the Spanish "montaña". The Portuguese "nh" is exactly the same Spanish "ñ". The only difference is the pronunciation of the first "a" sound, which nasalized in Portuguese, but not in Spanish.
Death valley is not a place for TH-camrs who are not adapted to hot weather.
Title card makes it look like you're going to Arrakis.
I'm ready to go soon 😆
need to clickbait some sandworm action
@@kraigadams "I'll be starting my hike getting dropped off my ornithopter. I got this used stillsuit here in New York, it's bulkier than I'm used to."
Heartbroken I missed geoguessr :/ I can make a party link if I happen to catch next stream
yeah, lmk how we could play together or against a team or something. I think I can provide a public link for a party?
Yeah, from the homepage you can click on party, and then make an invite link or code for people to join. You can also choose the game mode and what map to play. Not sure if people need to have accounts to join, but I know they don't have to be paid accounts to join

Kara n Nate got fined $1000 for filming in national parks. Crazy.
Kara n Nate were also REALLY obnoxious and obvious about their filming and are 2+ people. That law should NOT be applied to Kraig Adams and others that are single hikers doing simple filming.
@@MattShafter look, I see you don't like them. But that doesn't excuse anybody else because you think so. even if the laws are stupid. But I understand why they did what they did.
I've watched Karl Watson's hike up Kinabalu (th-cam.com/video/h3lQ1RwqZDo/w-d-xo.html). It looks like a pretty torturous set of steep stairs all of the way up -- and more critically, down -- the mountain. Doesn't look so fun!
