Designed and built in Germany, the 2019 #Buick #RegalGS is everything you'd not expect from a Buick here in America. It's a practical hatchback, offers quick and precise steering, has a taut suspension and sporty handling, and looks NOTHING like the #Regal of choice from our grandparents. Add in standard AWD, a sweet sounding 3.6L 310 HP V6, and a design that is a lot more interesting from all the Japanese offerings and buyers looking for a more unique option in the sport sedan segment should strongly consider adding a #GS to your short list.

Worked for GM and managed to buy a used 19 GS. Came with 9k miles and bought it for 23 grand. This was 2 years ago. The amount of features for the price I paid is unmatched. Would I like more power yes. Am I kept up at night worry about it no. The design is unique and the looks I get are usually “what is that” “didn’t know they made cars like that” all positive. In todays marked I can sell it for 27k. Best car I’ve ever owned

I think they went backwards in terms of design vs my 2012 GS. It looks bland but I would only want it for the tech upgrade. They missed out by not adding a turbo and at LEAST giving it 385 hp

@@johnwayne7476 Yeah, I almost bit on a Buick sedan or SUV, but that shut-off feature drove me (pardon the pun) towards a Mazda6. At least I can get around 250 bhp with closely equivalent torque. Still, as nice a car it is--everything fits perfectly, smooth, quiet and predictably smooth ride...and that's the problem: it's so predictable it's boring; beautiful interior, earns a "meh" in the excitement category. I'm going either Hyundai N Velociraptor (LOL!) or a Mustang GT in about two years.

I have a 2013 Regal GS and I love it. My previous cars (going backwards, and I'm 55) were Range Rover Evoque, Infiniti QX70, Mercedes CLK 350 cabrio, Mercedes E350, Mercedes S430, Porsche 911 Carerra 4 Cabrio, Audi A4 3.0 Quattro and the Audi A4 1.8T. As you can see I went through all of the "look at me cars" and I can honestly say, I love my Regal. An oil change isn't $150, a new battery can be installed at AutoZone, and in Atlanta traffic.....its plenty fast enough and has really great REAL leather seats, something my E Class didn't have. 2018+ Regal is an amazing car. I used to drive premium Japanese brands like Lexus and Acura, but I decided to downgrade and got a whooping $14k discount on 2018 Regal Sportback. I love the car! It is heavy and bulky when taking turns, some interior parts are somewhat cheap. But it handles above and beyond luxury. It is a butter-smooth luxury cruiser with extra utility. Bose sound system is great. LED headlights are wonderful. Acceleration is very decent. Fuel economy is about the same as 2014 Acura RDX. But Regal feels very refined. This car is super underrated. My parent had a 2000 regal GS and that thing was so amazing. It had the two tone paint with a dark metallic on top and a silver on the bottom It looked so much better with a two tone instead of one solid color. I like the Regal TourX too. Seems like the perfect family vehicle since it's still fun to drive and it doesn't look terrible. Good for anyone that doesn't want an SUV/cross over and wants to have something at least slightly sporty feeling.

I have the 20 inch wheels on my 2017 and I would not recommend it, the 19s won't tranmit as much shock and tire noise from such a huge contact patch. I disagree with the GS needing 2 Turbo's.... screw that....
Join up with ProCharger and put on their intercooled P1SC Supercharger, and slap on a custom Borla Exhaust, adjust the AWD to be rear biased, widen the tires a touch, and add in a K&N ram air intake and rebrand it the GNX, the return of the Grand National. As for the massaging seats, I think it should be an extra option and it should be top tier for the extra charge, otherwise you just get those comfy AGR Recaro style seats. You can get 430 Horsepower and about the same torque out of that LGX V6 with a P1SC, Ram air intake, and Borla exhaust system.
Also, ditch the standard seatbelt on the GS and GNX and give the drive and front passenger a 4 point harness. Update the audio system to a Bose 12 speaker with Sub and a 500w amplifier with centerstage 2. Ditch the chrome trim and leave that only for the Avenir line, in the GS and GNX make it faux carbon fiber and real carbon fiber based on upgrade packages. I also agree that you should be able to get a Black, Red, or Brown interior as well.
Also adding the ability to have heated and ventilated rear seats should be an upgrade option as well.

Okay, the blanks on the console and dash are for Euro and Chinese market versions, and the stretched wheelbase Chinese market executive Regal . Remember, the Regal is made under contract by Peugeot now that Opel is owned by the French. The turbo 4 is gone because of that manufacturing deal, and why it has the V6 now. And the fixation on all LED tail lights.... it is a nice car. However, that manufacturing deal doesn't go on long.... Buick is going to need to design vehicles with Cadillac and Chevy domestically, or specifically engineer cars for the Chinese market... like the Envision or the Korean designed/built Encore....

I would like it if GM made a sporty version of the Regal TourX.
    Especially with the 3.0TT

Holden (Australia) and Buick (USA) should have the option of some buyers to use the mass customisation option on their website. This would allow buyers choose their own interior colours and have a larger range of external colours. I realise that the delivery time on the mass customised models may drag out to 3 or 4 months. However, I think that many buyers would be to put up with this. For those buyers who cannot wait 3 to 4 months, they can buy the ready-to-deliver models with the black only interior and limitted external colours. Also, there should be a manual gear box option, which is available by Opel and Vauxhall in Europe.

This is the only GM vehicle I would buy....it's really nice plus it has 16% off MSRP (for all Buick vehicles)

@jmasoncar s The Fusion is barely any quicker since it weighs over 300 lbs more. 4200 lbs mentioned in the video is not correct. The GS weighs 3800 lbs.

For some reason, I really like this GS car. It is too expensive for me to get as a second car for daily driving use, but if I could afford a overpriced $45k sticker, I would seriously consider this car, but also like the TLX A-Spec. The Honda accord sport 2.0T is probably at the top of my list.
I didn't think the front seats were Recaros. Aren't they an in-house designed seat?

Buick needs to simply give us all a revamp of the Grand National... *missing his '87 GN*

That would be so dope just throw the soon to be discontinued CTS-V engine in there along with that chassis.

Beautiful car. It’s a shame they don’t still offer a manual in the GS. I owned a 2014 GS (auto). It was also beautiful, and the nicest car I’ve ever owned. But I was hugely disappointed in the fuel economy of a 4-cylinder turbo - and especially frustrating when you’re putting in 93 octane. I would consider another Buick, maybe when I’m ready for a larger sedan someday.
