This was an amazing explanation! Thank you for sharing this! I am currently a pre-med psychology major at Fresno State University, and I am watching videos to broaden my knowledge of ALzheimer's for my research laboratory.

Please address protein mis-folding as a cause of neuro-inflammation and neuron death including amyloid beta fibril formation caused by protein misfolding.

Wow !!! your videos are amazing, I love your diagrams and subscribed right after I saw this video ! The manner in which you explain it, you’re tone of voice are perfect, I would have loved to have had you as a teacher in my younger years. The format you use, and you’re diagrams are great, for the first time today I can say I understand in general how Alzheimer develops. My mom has Alzheimer it’s 7 years now, my wife and I take care of her, it’s not easy but we try. So when I see comments where people joke about this diseases it upsets me, the day you’re own mother, father, wife or husband, literally forgets who you are as if they never met you, it’s devastating ! It’s as if the person you knew died but is still physically around you.
Thank you so much for your knowledge, and educational videos, I love them keep them coming !!

Thank you so much for your kind words! It's really awful to watch someone lost who they are over 10-15 years. I also know that personal loss. It's why I switched from Microbiology research to Alzheimer's research in my mid twenties. I made a scrapbook for my Dad from when we were younger and it really helped him. Also anything from his childhood-30s was fairly well preserved. Take care and stay strong.

Great and informative. Curious if you are aware of Prof. David Smith Vitacog trial and interaction of Vit B and Omga3a and AZ? Very compelling data. His lecture is on TH-cam somewhere. Keep up the great work 💙💙

Recieve? But for the rest, very nice explanation. So at the end of the process it becomes an auto-immune disease.

This video was wonderful! My mother has Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy and although not considered Alzheimer's it is related in some way. Are you familiar with this condition or do you have any videos explaining it?

Hello lovely lady. Have you also studied AL Amyloidoisis? I am in NZ in my 8th year of treatment. Immunotheraphy/chemo/dex. Technically in remission. Had a massive stemi 5 yrs ago. I took doxycycline when my albumin was at 10 with gross proteinuria, when that finally changed. Now both are almost normal. We in NZ are JUST at the start of Omicorn spreading in the community. I am locked inside my ARK only going out for treatment 2 days a month. I am waiting for Novovax which isn't due to about April. Hopefully oncology will let me get away with that. My tropinion was 38,900. LV is 35-40. I had a 20 x 20x 14 clot in my heart which disappeared after 18 mths.

Currently, amyloid beta can be detected in the blood, can this help treat Alzheimer's disease?
So what factors influence the formation of beta amyloid in the body?
thank you, your video is very very helpful😊

Thank you for your wonderful and easy to understand presentation. I am 76 and have been concerned with my short term memory. I will start studies in January to check my cognitive function. I am very interested in your immune system theories and do you offer any suggestions on diet and/or supplementation to boost the immune system and also what suggestions if any on protein based powders would be beneficial or if at all possible to take or avoid using. Thank you again for your interest in this perplexing disease.

I am wary of supplements because they are not regulated which means a company can put anything in them. I think changing your diet is best. Fish like salmon, dark leafy greens like kale, olive oil and food with turmeric like Indian food. I wish you well.

I’m a bit confused. There’s a relatively new monoclonal antibodies against the amyloid plaques that’s supposed to help. But you said that the immune system already attacks the amyloid plaques and it causes problems. So how can adding monoclonal antibodies improve anything?

Более детально можете тут посмотреть: th-cam.com/video/1MWSv9f8LTc/w-d-xo.html
Есть диета MIND, которая вроде в эпидемиологических данных показала способность к предотвращению Альцгеймера, но все это нужно будет проверять в будущем в более строгих исследованиях.

Is AD inevitable if one lives long enough? Are the two cleavage pathways operating concurrently? What causes amyloid production to overwhelm the plaque disposal mechanism?
