Gallons: 209 Gallon
Glass thickness: 12mm
Front Glass - Extra Clear
Water Ph: 8 - 8.5
Substrate: Brown 2mm gravel mixed with 1mm white sand
Decor: River bed rocks with some bogwoods, and twigs
Filteration: Sump Filter (4 x 2 x 1.8) with 4 chambers.
Water change regime: 60% once a month in main tank and 100% water change in Sump once a month.
Lighting: Custome LED and PLL mixed.
Feed: 6 days thrice a day with 1 day fasting with varied Diet

Your tank is beautiful. The varieties of vieja cichlids are amazing. The jacks are always a great tank mate. The flowerhorn females can be a handful I've got one in a mixed cichlid tank it's 6X2X2 and it takes it for these fish. Amazing truly they are stunning colours

The fish dork I am, I knew there was something odd about that first fish. What an awesome looking hybrid though. Super nice fish. That Parrot is really yellowish. Interesting.

Taiwan river live a lot of those fishes, most are green color based

Amazing tank, bro! How do you keep peace between them? I have a 160 gallon aquarium and I can't get the 10 inhabitants to be at peace.
size of the tank and territories restrictions matters.......if they get a chance to make territories..they will get aggressive....and feeding.....keep them well fed and satisfied :)

Benny Aviles it's a red tiger motaguense cichlid. Most likely female. It's a member of the parachromis family. Gets to 8-10 inches in females and 10-14 inches in males. Extremely aggressive best kept as a pair and minimum tank size for one is 100g.

MajidHashmi786 hi, you can feed good quality branded food from TETRA, NLS, TROPICAL AND HIKARI.... Occassionaly feed them boiled egg whites, bloodworms, shrimps fresh or dried.. Give them blanched green peas once in 2 weeks.. ...and let them fast for at least 2 days

Any idea how to get coatzacoalcos body get blue color as well? Only face seems to be blue .
prasan tuladhar patience is the virtue in fish keeping and specially with central American cichlids.. they are low in sand due to there non coloured adolescence and once they grow big, they start getting the colours
Community of fish also helps in colour enhancement along with the water quality and the feed quality you are giving to your fishes.
Happy fishes gives vibrant colours.

I need to know what that is at 1:53. It looks like a Hoplarchus Psittacus "True Parrot" but its yellow. I've never scene one yellow before. Possibly an albino???
Flying Wiener it seems yellow inn the video..but its not abino...

What are these beautiful
Cichlids called the big colourful ones?
mostly Viejas.. Central American cichlids.. In there I have Synspillum, Argentea, black belt, Zonatus, coatzacolcos and red tiger motaguensis

Hi I am a new fish keeper I have just purchased a 300 litre aquarium I have 2 small silver sharks maybe 2 inches 2 small firemouth chiclids and a clown loach baby what other chiclids could I keep in this tank with these fish any help is much appreciated
hi, i would not recommend adding any more as the ones you have grow pretty big.... if you want to add then add another 1 or 2 clown loach. The more fish you have the more bio-load - which means more filtration and more frequent water changes.

the ones in the pics are not malawi.. they are mostly central american cichlids.... Malawis are african cichlids... in 50ltr i would suggest 1" size and about 5 - 6 of em.

You've got some really nice Viejas man. I have a juvenile V. maculicauda, the problem is that she's beating the shit out of all the other tank mates. She almost killed even an Oscar who is bigger than her and a pissed off one. I have to keep my Vieja alone thous far
oscar it meant to be beaten by viejas..i tried introducing oscars... they were sidelined and were near death in a single day.... HOw bug is your aquarium and whats the density of fishes in there?

HI sarah..... Go for DIY LED or you will get led lights at any LFS ow a days.... the trick is to perfectly place the lights and "food" also plays a major role in the colours of the fish..along with happy community.... if the fish is stressed..they wont show there colours.. and if they are happy.. you have a colourful tank :)
