    I got the Evans Torque Drum Key and the Remo Quick Clutch from one of your other videos. I will never have to buy a new drum key or clutch ever again. I also got the SD2 Bolero sticks and they were perfect when I played in a huge, booming Cathedral. Thank You!!!
    Gaffer Tape is my new love. Definitely gotta have Gaffer Tape!

      The remo quick clutch is KEY. Glad that stuff is helping out!

    Could not agree more on the Supraphonic. I have the same drum and it sounds AMAZING. Best part about it is that I found it at Bargain Hunt for $200 in excellent condition. Best 200 I've ever spent.

    Great video! I always take a rug/carpet to every gig as you never know what surface you’re going to play on! Another is earplugs as well as a pencil for taking notes if setlists/songs change right before a show/gig! Keep up the good work :)

      Carpet and ear plugs are both EPIC suggestions. I always have ear plugs with me and even wear them at the movie theater and stuff haha.

      Tim Buell Yeah that’s it! Chuck them on your keys and you have them everywhere you go!

    12 Pairs of Travis Barker Signature sticks from Zildjian (my favorite sticks and Travis Barker is one of my biggest inspirations to play drums)

    SD2 Bolero are perfect sticks,, created for playing on snares, playing on cymabals makes them lasting for shorter time but I also love them, Supra is the best with older hoops, they are lighter and make this typical crispy and deep sound of 70's

    • @TimBuell
      @TimBuell  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed on both fronts!

    Haha! I play the SD2 Bolero since 10 Years. My local drum shop kind of hates me
    because I´m the only one in my town :-)

    I have the Ludwig Supraphonic 6.5 x 14 and I couldn't agree with you more. I do believe the Ludwig Black Beauty is equal in awesomeness as well, in which I have 2. Either 1 is a necessity. I've had my Black Beayties longer, but I have made much use of the Supraphonic as of late.

    One of my must have items are flashlight. I hate when the screw, drum key or felt fall on the floor of dark gig place and I can't find it because it's too dark 🙂

    For dampener, I would have to say, if you have the money, try to invest in a snareweight. Either the big block brass or at least the m80. I have used both of these for studio, live and etc, until I lost my m80 lol. I know the big block brass can be pricy, but you will not regret it. Trust me....

    • @TimBuell

      I actually have one. I've always felt like every insert I've used with it always either dampens too much, or too little. In the case of too much, I'm kinda out haha. In the case of too little, I always find myself using 1 or 2 moon gel/pieces of gaff in addition to the snare weight. And at that point it is a lot of money for something that doesn't fully do the trick for me.
      I know people that love them. I've just never really found it to be what I want. And like you mentioned, traveling with them becomes tricky as if you loose them you are out WAY more money then forgetting moon gel somewhere.

    Hey Tim, recent sub here, what has been your best heads for that beautiful supraphonic? I have one and always looking for new sounds that I can get out of it!!

    • @TimBuell
      @TimBuell  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Davide! I find the Remo Controlled Sound is perfect. It has just enough plys and thickness to soak up some of the natural ring and overtones without choking the drum out.

    Clear Moongels... Or, duct tape apparently! :) Affiliate links my dude! Include those in your description and the PDF you send out. You deserve it.

    • @TimBuell
      @TimBuell  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ha! You are right! I usually post those, will probably go back and add them. That tape is actually Gaffers tape, works much better than duct tape and doesn't leave a residue!
