Examples: If battery is dead, the owner could still roll windows down, open the side door manually, if the van has slide-outs, those could be hand-cranked, etc. Thanks for the professionally shot & edited video, and for the great design for the 2021! I am not at all surprised about the price. You get what you pay for! I could go buy 6 used RVs for the same as 1 Revel ... probably 8 mpg, too wide & long for any kind of adventures, unless just giving up on that adventure dream and staying at a KOA Park, ha!
I have simple for you. Get an empty Van and put a tent, sleeping bag and an alcohol stove inside of it. The interior is portable but you still have to bring dedicated material and tools to repair the tent.

Hi, I have a new 2020, and I love it, but there is a flaw in the windows on the side. I was in the Sequoia national forest parked with the sliding door window popped open about half way, when a decent gust of wind blew, and the window flipped upward very hard, and popped out of the top railing, and could not be put back, except for at the dealership. The window needs a restriction from flying open when like a nylon tagline affixed to the window, and the inside of window to prevent this from happening again, which I'm sure will. I know others have, or will deal with this. Dealership had my van for 10 days.., still Love the van though. I will do my own fix.
I loved the garage area box drawers you installed on your older Revel . Now , with the garage area having the electrical system , batterries , water controls etc , an efficient floor box drawer set-up in a 2021 Revel looks to be a very difficult build . Do you have any plans of tackling such an upgrade in a 2021 ?
I hope the awning has side panels when there is rain with a little wind. It offers a small area of protection as is but more so because it is quite high.
Yeah I would also like to know as it is the main selling point for me here. It used to be that youcan only use it while plugged toand outlet so being able to use iton batteries alone is great.
Wud av like to seen the Power Drop n Amps Used when the AC is on Cant see the Batts lasting long or the Solar Panels keeping up as only Half of what it Could be
Great video. I love this motorhome. BUT, I’d really like to see a sink integrated in the bathroom AND I’d like to see the heated/3 position memory seats up front like you see in many other Mercedes camper vans.
Glad they finally stepped the Revel’s game up. The lithium batteries are sweet. Can finally cut the cord. Also the Under hood generator is a win. What a great rig.
@@WinnebagoRVs The Pure3 combined with the water inside is a game changer. Great job. Have to check the web site to see if the gray tank is heated. Undercarriage protection and an inch or two more ground clearance would just be to the moon. Edited to remove reference to auto start which is not available on the Revel.
I have been looking for the perfect van, and I really think a 144 inch would be best, but I haven’t found one that really works space wise until know. Really amazing job!
For one or two people, I wonder if that dinette is needed. I think I'd rather have a bigger fridge, or more storage, or something else, and just have a table with the two front seats.
Question: my job requires that I host a zoom meeting for two hours per day, I cannot be disconnected! Is this possible in a national park, say? This is the only factor preventing me from buying a camper van. I’ve heard of boosters but no word on how effective/reliable they are with zoom. Help?
Hi Kim, we suggest reaching out to one of our trusted dealers. They will be able to help answer all of your B Van questions! Find a Dealer: winnebago.com/shopping-tools/locate-a-dealer
Kim Craige I have worked from the road for the last 6+ years. Some parks have good to great cell or WiFi service, some are black holes. But with a WiFi and or cell booster and a little prior planning you can travel/work full time from a Revel. It’s a challenge at times but so worth it for me to spend time in these amazing places with so much freedom.
I want to add to Peter's replly. I use RVTRIPWIZARD when planning my trips. One of the features I like is the park reviews and reading them. you can see if WIFI ais vailable and what mobile services work. But, when considering a wifi booster and/or cell booster remember you have to have some signal for them to "boost". Meaning, on your smart phone if you have zero bars, then your cell booster probably isn't going to help. Same for wifi, I've had a strong signal yet couldn't do anything but email.
can you add a ski cargo box to the roof without obstructing solar panels? You show kayaks and also a pair of cross bars extending beyond the awning. thanks
Hi Vicki, both the freshwater and grey tank capacities are 21 gallons. You can learn more about the 2021 Revel through the attached link: winnebago.com/models/product/motorhomes/class-b/revel
If you really want to get off road at a price less then your first 3 homes buy a Tacoma and put a small camper on it. You don't need built in everything. A spray shower works great. A portable stove too works fine. A shower tent gives you privacy. A Tacoma will take you to the remote areas far beyond a Sprinters capability. Less then 65k will buy you a newer TRD OFF Road and a FWC. Keep the other 100k to live on for 5 years.
"It opens up like an ice cream truck 😃" Best window review ever 😂 but overall really great review very informative and even great personal reference makes me want to go buy one then I remember I'm broke lol
James Jones the bed can be stopped at any position along its travel. And yes the vents on the AC can direct air forward, down or back with a flip of the switch. So with the bed raised fully you can still have cool air blowing forward or backward.
when you showed us the fridge , I just had a quick thought as to it being a shame that the door didnt open from either side . making access easier when you load up from your shopping cart .
I haven't done it personally, But I think you can change the side the door opens on. I find that it swings open far enough to allow easy loading in its current configuration from inside the van or in the parking lot.
Definitely wish they went with a slide out chest freezer instead. Way more energy efficient and storage is increased too. When all the cold air doesn't just leak out when you open the door, you can afford to have less insulation.
In one of the clips, you have a dirt bike on the trailer hitch. Can you report what your set up is? The rated tongue weight is 500 lbs. What is the combined weight of your carrier plus dirt bike?
Pricing it at $175k and then bargaining down by $50k is ridiculous Winnebago. Work out a no haggle reasonable pricing structure - this is just silly in this day and age.
Please do a video on how you got your RV to and around Europe. The Revel would work great there. No worries about Euro 240 power and Euro propane connections.
Thank You for the tour of a $168.000 dollar van. It appears you are either a spokesperson or got a good deal on the 2021 Winnebago Revel. I am sure & realize there is something for everyone out there. For me Winnebago, anything they make is just way to over priced. Years ago went to school with a really good friend who's Dad was Vice President of Winnebago. My friend did not like them at all. I have nothing against the older models at the time. Through the years have learned the construction of RV's in Plants verses building or having built is much better in so many ways & structurely sound & solid. Safe Travels & Safe Health!
Very thorough tour - well done! A lot of new, clever features making the Revel an attractive alternative to the Boldt. Options should include a super quiet HVAC & quiet compact generator for longer boon-docking.
What is the benefit of having the bed raised as opposed to folding it to the side? It seems like you lose the head space. I guess if it was on its side, it would lose side space. Also, when the bed is raised, does it mean the AC cannot operate?
So I just received my new 2021. They switched to the Nautilis water system and there is no gravity fill but there is a siphon fill. You basically hook up a hose, put the four switches set for siphon, and then you can put a hose in any container and it pulls using the pump. This is also how you can sanitize. Just sanitized today and it worked great. Love this thing.
The refrigerator should be using the double latch format so that you can open it from either side. I'm thinking that'll be next update. Love seeing this camper, didn't know a 4x4 camper van like this existed. My dream vehicle for the future.
How did you transport your Revel RV across the Atlantic ocean to Europe? I'm thinking of doing that on board a Cargo vessel that I am learning you can do on TH-cam. How did you do it? Also, what modifications are necessary when wanting to use a USA built vehicle in Europe to conform to their fuel and emissions regulations?
My real-world tests with the AC on High Cold, it runs about 2 hours. This will freeze you out of the Revel. I've seen Lichtsinn RV's test video with over 6+ hours with it set to 75 degrees. There are certainly lots of variables but this is amazing as in the past the AC had to be plugged into shore power to work at all. Honestly, this is the most exciting new feature for me personally.
I like EVERYTHING about this Revel! Well ... not the price tag. But in a few years when the Air travel is back and RVs start flooding the market, maybe I will be able to get one in a price range I could handle.
Almost perfect. Here in Florida we lived and died by our generator in our Class A being able to tun the AC. Since there was no mention that the extra alternator could run the AC I assume it can’t. I know you can run the AC with a operable 2000 watt inverter generator if you add a soft start cap to the AC unit. But damn, if this thing only had a diesel Onan for when you need it built in. I’m guessing you’d get maybe 1 hour of AC off the batteries.
Hello all! Anyone know....is the cassette toilet also portable (can also be taken out of the Revel and used outside). And can the dining area be converted into a 2nd smaller sleeping bed? Thanks for any information!
Fabulous review. I've looked at so many vans, and this is by far the best, but I'd need to sell the house for this! I'm pinching many ideas and going to build my own
@@ziggyff693 The lithium is a BIG plus and while they can only run the A/C for around six hours I think, that is still very impressive. Anything that is a step forward and helps to eliminate hauling an exterior generator is a bonus.
@@chaosncheckt9356 That depends on the AC duty cycle. The batteries are 3200Wh. Looking at the Coleman 10NDQ datasheet from their site, we see that the running Watts range from 1350-1625W. So on a really hot day like the guy in "30 and a wake up" channel tested recently, the compressor doesn't go off. So with 3200Wh, of which about 90% is usable, you'll be able to run for about 1,5-2h. Probably more like 1,5h since you'll loose about 10% when inverting. For 6 hours, you'd need a duty cycle of about 25-30%.
Does the engine auto start to charge the batteries? The fact that you no longer need shore power for the AC is HUGE to me. Looks like Winnebago addressed the most glaring issues except undercarriage protection and ground clearance.
I've been following the evolution of the Revel since the beginning. It is the perfect van with the exception of the back seats. They can't accommodate two kids car seats and when my 2 sons get older, it's a pretty small space with questionable overall safety. My other question is if you could run AC at night. I could almost envision 4 people sleeping in this van, 2 kids on the bed and 2 adults underneath or 1 adult underneath and a mom and 2 kids above. AC would be needed for that I think, otherwise it would be really hot underneath. I'm not sure how long you could run the AC continuously.
Where do you connect the city water when you are camping at a full hook up site? You are t gonna leave the back doors open when it’s cold or raining? Same for the solar plug? Doesn’t make sense? Maybe I’m missing something? Adventure RVers also camp at full hook-ups when traveling to their boon docking destinations! As they say, if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it!
Suddenly my plan for a used Revel does not look as attractive - wow. Now that I have to save/more longer my feedback for future development. Losing sleep 3 is significant even if fridge is better. My suggestion is make the table leg adjustable so the backrest can at least sleep 2 littler ones. Underfloor storage is the previous water tank? The rear wheel well builds look nice but I suspect with development could be more efficient, perhaps a CAD custom water tank, & reworked electrics on the other. The GLSS type fittings are not for everyone but show how compromised the 20/21 mod change looks. CUSTOMISATION There is scope for personal orders as customers are prepared to wait. The Graphics delete is a factory option and I would not wish to advertise 4x4 to thieves. From the rear I would choose a stock van look (Sprinter 2500 only). My goal is a global trek so I would need a 240v connector and step down transformer. I could bolt one to the roof and have a trailing cable but Revel is about the factory look. Could the vacated AGM space be utilised as a factory option?
I hope they make a 170 Revel, been following the Revel for a few years. These updates are great.
Love this family! Had the pleasure of meeting them a while back. Absolutely awesome!

What is the benefit of having the bed raised as opposed to folding it to the side? It seems like you lose the head space. I guess if it was on its side, it would lose side space. Also, when the bed is raised, does it mean the AC cannot operate?
Has any one asked u what u paid for this model , please ty. Nice review btw good job:)
Just wondering if the new 21 has a water gravity fill?
I'm wondering the same thing.
What does the disconnect switch in the back do differently than the battery panel switch (battery on/off) up front?
Does the fridge door open from both directions?
He mentioned the Mercedes Sprinter Van supports CarPlay, what about Android Auto if I'm not in the iPhone ecosystem?
What kind of un time you get for the AC with 200w solar and 250W/hr lithium batteries?
My real-world tests with the AC on High Cold, it runs about 2 hours. This will freeze you out of the Revel. I've seen Lichtsinn RV's test video with over 6+ hours with it set to 75 degrees. There are certainly lots of variables but this is amazing as in the past the AC had to be plugged into shore power to work at all. Honestly, this is the most exciting new feature for me personally.
most acs draw at least 1200w, so 2 hours is about right.
I like EVERYTHING about this Revel! Well ... not the price tag. But in a few years when the Air travel is back and RVs start flooding the market, maybe I will be able to get one in a price range I could handle.
Everything looks great. Can you order Winnebago Travato"s pure3 power system on the Winnebago Revel? Thanks. :)
So, they removed the third person sleep option? Only sleep two now? Kinda a bummer.
whats distance from floor to bed when bed is down?
Almost perfect. Here in Florida we lived and died by our generator in our Class A being able to tun the AC. Since there was no mention that the extra alternator could run the AC I assume it can’t. I know you can run the AC with a operable 2000 watt inverter generator if you add a soft start cap to the AC unit. But damn, if this thing only had a diesel Onan for when you need it built in. I’m guessing you’d get maybe 1 hour of AC off the batteries.
How many hours can you run the AC off grid?
nice to see Bago use up some of that old fabric on something, basically a aftermarket built RV, Price?
Thanks for watching. Base MSRP is $174,906
Hello all! Anyone know....is the cassette toilet also portable (can also be taken out of the Revel and used outside). And can the dining area be converted into a 2nd smaller sleeping bed? Thanks for any information!
Is this Sprinter model considered a high-top?
Fabulous review. I've looked at so many vans, and this is by far the best, but I'd need to sell the house for this! I'm pinching many ideas and going to build my own
Did u end up selling the house for one?
I was so excited for this... until I saw that the extra seating wouldn't accommodate 2 carseats with the single shoulder restraint.
The seat is awful for hours. Storyteller has a much better one.
I hear mixed reviews on the lithium system how can this can run all day or night with AC running at 3000 ah
Just looked at the website and sticker shock, over $170k for this. Buh Bye
Perhaps a 1965 Single Wide is more your speed.
yup...it's up from $135k in just 4-5 years..mostly from the lithium and other electronics
@@JamesBlazen Nope, but appreciate the humor.
Awesome video. Thank you.
Glad you liked it!
How heavy is your motorcycle+its carrier? 500 pounds of tongue weight is the Revel has right?
Great review. Very detailed and well presented.
Wow! Gorgeous!
Thank you! 😊
Does the engine auto start to charge the batteries? The fact that you no longer need shore power for the AC is HUGE to me. Looks like Winnebago addressed the most glaring issues except undercarriage protection and ground clearance.
Ground clearance is higher (AGMs were the low point), undercarriage? - the exhaust pipe was raised on the 20 by shortening the side rail.
Thanks for the super excellent and detailed video
I've been following the evolution of the Revel since the beginning. It is the perfect van with the exception of the back seats. They can't accommodate two kids car seats and when my 2 sons get older, it's a pretty small space with questionable overall safety. My other question is if you could run AC at night. I could almost envision 4 people sleeping in this van, 2 kids on the bed and 2 adults underneath or 1 adult underneath and a mom and 2 kids above. AC would be needed for that I think, otherwise it would be really hot underneath. I'm not sure how long you could run the AC continuously.
I saw 6 hours somewhere, it recharges with 2 hours driving.
the bug in minute 12 is a paid actor. LOL
What are the names of the apps for the AC/battery/awning? Silly that you need 3 different ones.
As they say, if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it!
most people wait for the break in weather to do the little necessities
GOOD POINT REN
Tell me about the second bed
Hi you can find more information on the revel here: www.winnebago.com/models/product/motorhomes/revel
Does it come with electric start ?
Hi Dave, is your question in regard to the Pure3 advanced energy system? If so, this is not electric start but an auto start.
@@WinnebagoRVs wondering if the Revel has auto start?
@@WinnebagoRVs Please clarify that auto start is not available on the Revel.
What are the mattress dimensions?
I want one
