    I’ve spent 25 years fannying around with Mk2’s, Trackslag are the best by a mile!

    I can’t see a heat line like that in my exhaust,
    so I guess/hope it’s good flowing..?
    It’s a Remus midbox and supersprint backbox..

    I've got a powerflow system. It's the standard manifold with a box under neath the gearstick which I'm guessing is the resonator? Then the powerflow starts from there and it has 2 silencers before the back box. I find it way too droney and boomy, especially at motorway speeds. Should I replace this for a trackslag or is the resonator gone.

      Hard to say to be fair but I've not herd any bad things about trackslag, mine is the early 2 box performance system and its absolutely fine with no drone

    very interesting this, mine came with a sting in the tail brand with dtm pipes which i love, now im thinking it isnt so good!

      I guarantee it isn't any good. They're designed the same way as the magnex....I cut one open years ago knowing what to expect having seen inside a magnex that started rattling inside. It's also easy to determine by feeling the pulse...or lack of it...coming from the tailpipes. I gained 7hp peak and 13hp midrange on a customer 8v putting out 125hp at the time, so they really cap back performance on bigger power cars. I've got both the magnex and ex sting in the tail version I've used as bad examples for years. Custom is the way forward by someone who actually knows how to design for performance rather than marketing.
      Supersprint twin outlets have a Y design which works fine, we adapted a magnex the same way.

      @@ravenmaster6364 yep one and the same. The other option could be the trackslag one that Martin has.

    Hi, with all you're knowledge what is the cheapest things to do with kr engine, to make it produce more torque.
    1. Wur mod.
    2. Ignition.
    3. Eurocam 50mm
    4. Manifold
    Anything else?

    • @GreyGooseRestorations
      @GreyGooseRestorations  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Firstly make sure its running correctly then;
      - WUR modification
      - exhaust system
      - ABF cams / twin KR exhaust cams
      The list could go on to be fair

      @@GreyGooseRestorations do you think its better to tune my kr engine, or just go with abf?

    • @GreyGooseRestorations
      @GreyGooseRestorations  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Ailiking a well set up KR will be closely matched to a stock ABF in the real world, the KR will give you more feel vs the ABF is quite linear

    Perhaps you have answered this, but which brand is that?
    I have TA Techix and its the cheapest one out there, perhaps I have the same idiot design

      @@GreyGooseRestorations Nice, lookin forward to that. And some CIS-E content. Have a 1983 Jetta 2dr with 2.0L 16V on CIS-E. DIY head worked. P&P, 50mm port matched intake, undercut valves and 3 angle, autotech street cams etc. With WOT enrichment and some tweaks I have got AFR in the 12's @ WOT. Still gets 32mpg highway at 75mph. It's FUN...
      Also seen your letting some HP go for torque gain. Ever do any testing with a ported and matched 42mm intake? I ran the smaller runner Rocco intake for some time and I swear the seat of the pants was better. But kept the rocco 50mm just cause it's rare here in USA and ads some cool factor.
