I can’t lie, while her new stuff is wonderful! I do miss her more risky off label stuff, like the eat ep she produced herself and one of my favorite set of songs ever. I miss her weird genre mixing like in x, concrete, scary mask etc but I’m sure now that she’s with a more sophisticated label she wants to refine and stick to one genre instead of blending but I miss that creativity!
Can’t wait to see her do this live with Ralph Alexander on drums! I think that silent beat you mentioned is actually structural, but I haven’t worked out quite how yet. I really enjoyed that as this song was longer, there was more space to play around with the material. The chorus is infectious- I was wondering around humming it straight away.
@@joserafaelarguedasrodrigue4696 yes. Seen her live recently and it was fckn amazing! I was actually nervous if it would be lyp singing or if it wouldn't sound as good but nope, she delivered grueling brutal screaming. And actually, her screaming often sounded better live bcuz how loud and raw it was!

Still insane to me how Poppy went from weird viral lady to big metal chick! I dig it! Btw, might I request you checkout Leviathan by Inertia ft. Jacob Charlton?! :)
You know, I never checked out Poppy but I'm impressed! Best female harshes I've heard since Courtney LaPlante! And good call on the FIR bit- it did sound a lot like the heavy middle section before Techs verse. I went to the Bilmuri show in Nashville on Friday and had a BLAST- managed to record the whole thing! It's up on my channel if you want to check it out. Their stage presence is unreal and he even broke out a new song that's dropping soon! Great content as always, Steve. Be well, friend!
Here we go! I thought this was going to be one of those "rabbit hole" songs- she sings "true" three times- each time, she sings it, she is unaccompanied. In fact, the second "true" is exactly in the middle of the song. So in all this metalcore madness, Poppy is using silence! Power moves!
Heard it the moment it dropped. Absolute banger. I hope she keeps down this path. It suits her very well. Apparently, Stephen Harrison (Fever333, The Chariot) helped on this one too. 🔥🔥🔥
Can you plz react to machine made god not well known and very underrated! 2005 era, way ahead of its imo!! Melancholy is my suggestion to start with , have asked a few peeps to react but to no avail!! Missing out honestly much love !!!

@@SteveOGRock it tis. be more specific. her covers of Kittie and Bowie songs are amazing and i listen to them like they are hers. Her new way out and songs with KL and BO are very good. the Zig album is not liked by myself but Church Outfit is really good. I loved Flux and I Disagree and the EPs that came out. and before that htere are songs that i enjoy. her songs to read to and sleep too are good chill music.
"Best song in years"? That is her ONLY good song. I can't even imagine what other song could even come close. I admit, I'm not a Poppy fan. I enjoy good music. But sometimes a person can strike gold in a trashcan.
You don’t like her song eat? Or maybe say cheese? Bite your teeth? A song about meeting impossible expectations? Not even poppy’s song her?! Not even scary mask??? That’s so sad :(
Popped loose
Yes! Nicely done 👏🏻
this is dope, hahahha🤣🤣🤣
you got an actual LOL out of me XD
Confirmed. This song indeed fucks
✅
Her screams 🔥🔥
She’s growing on me more and more. Strong and confident vocals? Yes, please!

POPPY WORLD DOMINATION
Loving this side of Poppy. Her scream vocals are phenomenal, but even her cleans sounded better than ever. More of this style please
Can she replicate those screams live?

In which album did she have all the songs similar to each other? the best genres have always been mixed to express a specific emotion
? NWO is awesome
@@exl13i would say her ep EAT

Sic! 🤘
To me her vocals on this song sound like a female version of Sam Carter from Architects and that’s definitely not a bad thing at all
Is there a way to request song reactions? And what’s this about a discord? Love your reactions ❤

It’s sooooooo Architecs…..
Her screams have improved since Say Cheese! I already loved them , but I'm really enjoying them here!
Sounds like a mix of BMTH and Bad Omens with Bryan Garris's vocal delivery imo
LMFAO... this song FUCKS. i laughed so hard jesus.
😅
Good song but New Way Out was better.
I prefer this one actually
