Finally a demo with someone who can play. So many demo vids of this kit with marginal drummers had me reconsidering my purchase. Still gonna have to get used to that high rim--at least on the snare. I can live with a high rim on the toms. Coming from a Roland TD-1k will be a slight upgrade; the mesh, midi way more kits, customizable kits, an actual kick tower and pedal.

Alesis ROCKS when it comes to sound quality but ive heard about reliability issues with the brand. Like when buying their products, youre gonna run into a problem somewhere down the line
Bought this kit to replace my Roland TD-1K. This mesh kit had less head dynamics than the Roland and the rims are to high. Sent it right back.
Are these the sounds that are in the module?! Because if they are, there's some really sweet kits in there! Not as many as I'd like, but this isn't a very expensive module.
These sounds are awful comparing to sounds you can trigger via using VST's. As an owner of Alesis Nitro Mesh I highly recommend to spend additional money to buy a normal VST plugin and fully enjoy and customize sounds

Eine Frage: ich hörte, dass dieses Kit ein bisschen niedrig ist, fand aber online keine Angaben dazu. Mir wäre es unangenehm, die Snare-Oberfläche zwischen den Knien zu haben und die Toms auf dem Schoß.
Das billigste Drum Rack kostet so viel, wie das ganze Nitro Kit.

Does the hihat send just 3 different notes to USB/MIDI too ? Open/half/closed ? I'd like to work in VSTi instrument, but most VST have more variations of hihat! At least it send all 127 velocities?
My question is similar, does the snare respond to side stick with a descent sound of a stick played by rim?
I understood the statements, that the rim does only make a more aggressive snare sound, as known from playing skin and rim the same time.

Check if you got the cymbal with "choke" sticker on the crash place connected

Not trying to be mean, but why do all these electronic drum vids have the same Weather Channel style groove beat? I swear everyone is doing these drum beats on every vid, maybe because it's the only beat that sounds decent on these kits
It sounds like its price, cheap and horrible.

Yeah I have this kit and the onboard kits don’t sound that great. I use it with superior drummer 3 which makes the kit worth the price lol.
You can customise everything it makes the stock sounds much better
