I live in Nairobi Kenya and we have a huuge problem of capital-city obsession. I know guys with large parcels of land back in the village yet they want to stay in slums in Nairobi City. its sad

I made up my mind just last week to move out of the big city I'm in and build my own city. With this message of yours, daddy, I know I'm not wrong. More blessings unto you.

This message is bringing tears in my eyes. But I'm not going to shed them, because the Bible that forbids such a behavior.

It shows that the government has failed for our cities in terms of planning. When jobs are provided in sub urban areas, it will reduce migration to big cities. The FG should consider providing the enabling environment to foster the establishment of industrial hubs in the geopolitical zones to decongest the big cities.

We can't wait on these crooked African governments to do anything serious for us. We need to take our individual destinies into our own hands by moving to suburban areas where there are great opportunities for us to flourish especially in targeted agriculture and real estate. Thank you Dr. Apoki!

Also people detest things that are celebrated in many other countries out of greed and pride. Much of the insecurity in Nigeria stems from greed. Many countries have farmers day, and people like actors, actresses, celebrities including some from Ghana are farming. Many people in Nigeria have lands in villages but will request money from family/friends abroad without investing in such things. There is something already in many rural places, apart from what the government should provide; except that people may have differing ideas of success.

If you're born poor, don't live in a city, your kids will just be used as political cadres. Go work the land.
