One more tip from me since I just went last month alhamdulillah. Take ear plugs if you’re planning on doing tawaf on the main floor. The torpedo groups that push you around also chant really loudly which makes you lose focus on your own duas. The earplugs help block out their very loud chants. If you’re on the first floor then thankfully no chanting and pushing. You just have to watch out for the wheel chairs zipping around you.

Omg I can't believe I forgot this. It is so frustrating because it removes my thoughts and breaks my concentration. Great tip on the ear plugs

omg the best decision i made was plugging in my headphones and listening to Quran during the Sa'i because it really helped block out the loud chanting! I was in my own world even with everything going on around me :)

First time I went on Hajj/Umrah 30 years ago - pushing has always happened. It's sad, in fact disgusting. I once saw a bunch of tall men push this short, elderly woman out of the way like she was a football - the woman fell over, people trampled on her, and the men laughed and gave each other high fives. We will not change these idiots and just be mentally prepared for it 😔😔😔

I understand the thing with the pushing and ive heard that A LOT but having done my first umrah now i must say that I see that everybody deals differently with being in a crowd and everyone has a different level of anxiety and different social norms. Anywhere else on this planet when so many people come together you would literally have a mass panic breaking out and people stepping over each other, trampling people etc.
Mashaallah our Ummah is so unique and you feel so blessed seeing everyone at least TRYING to take care of everybody and in the same time saving themselves.
So i feel like the pushing is so normal and it didnt seem to bother me a lot since i tried to understand thatot everyone has the same manners and etiquettes

It’s true that every umrah gives you another experience. I tell myself every time to take my time, especially on safa and marwa. But somehow it’s still not on the pace I would like it to be due to the crowd and security telling others to make space.
What I noticed last summer is that men are not very aware of their surroundings in sa’ee and as a woman alone standing waiting for water when you are thirsty is a wait you can’t win. I wish the men would be more aware of their strength. I am not a pusher so I wait patiently.
Another thing I noticed is their ihraam, the way they throw it over their shoulder not realising how long it is 😂

I just got back from my trip and I have a couple pro tips. Maybe youve shared this with your veiwers. If you have not, here they are. Tip 1 is book your Rowda appointment closest to Fajr. I got to spend 2 full hours there (rather than 10 minutes) and got to pray fajr prayers. Second. Use the lowest level of the bathroom and the bathrooms furthest away from the entrance those are the cleanest and driest bathrooms. Oh and don't forget toilet paper!

I want to thank you so much for your videos. It's really helped me with my first umrah which I completed a few days ago. Another couple things I wanted to mentioned that I learned is to take your own unscented products including soap/ miswak/ hand sanitizer etc so you're not looking for them when you need it the most. A mask is best I found as there are so many people who are sick too. The hotel I booked was Emaar Al Kalil. About 200 SAR and just an 11 minute walk straight up towards gate 79. ❤
I think I saw you there or maybe it was someone who looked exactly like you in the mataf area. Blessings and greets from Canada
