Patrick, can’t explain how insanely good this video was and how amazing the shots are! Great review on my Dream Fuji camera! I own the xt10 and the xe1. Hopefully this year I’ll be able to buy x100v or xpro3. Just Subscribed!
Definitely thinking about grabbing me a x-pro 3 & a x-t5 soon. Wanted to grab an x100vi so bad but only want it for the rangefinder style camera. Great work though brother!
I’ve had my xpro3 since it first was released and to this day I love shooting with it. I’ve had many cameras come and go and I still can’t let go of the xpro3.
@@PatrickHRogers i'm really happy with the xpro 3. It's lightweight, durable, and feels good in the hand. Shutter sound is much more satisfying than the x100vi. The x100vi has superior video capabilities and image quality. I just couldn't find the right place for it in my kit. When I needed pocket-ability I would grab my gr3 and when I needed maximum image quality I would grab my gfx. The xpro3 + voigtlander 18mm was a better fit for me in that middle space.
Great video, stunning photos too! I also got the X-Pro 3 this year. Since it is my dream camera, I have been really loving the experience. It restarted my photography, feels very much like the first time I held a camera. Looking forward to more X-Pro 3 content from you.
I think the XPro3 is the best camera Fuji has ever made. And the 50R is a really incredible partner for the XPro3 that offers up a great duo of film-like shooting experiences with beautiful sensors. I love my Leica M10, but I miss the XPro3 quite a lot. Loved seeing your take on it.
loved the video man. I have a x pro 2 and I pair it with the tt artisan 27 and fuji 35. That's all I need. I'm on a trip to Bali right now and the camera never leaves my bag. It just brings me a lot of joy anytime I press the shutter button
I have done the opposite. My XH2 is collecting a little bit of dust since I bought the GFX 100s ii. But I understand the concept of the Xpro3. The feeling of being more connected to the environment.
I shoot the 50R and an X100vi. I simply can’t handle buying lenses for 2 system cameras… it drives GAS crazy. Native GFX lenses (besides the 50 and 35-70) are so bloody expensive it keeps it very easy. 50mm 🧁, 45mm contax 🥞, Pentax 150mm for tele. Also the 3:2 sensor chops a lot off to hit the 4:5/6:7 medium format aspect ratios.
Dude, 2 mins in; I said, he should steer clear of the X100vi or that PRo3 is toast. I recently did a reduction of my gear and the X100vi along with the X-h2s made the cut. Enjoy the X100vi and the X-S20. Very versatile combo. Also, if you do get a chance to play with the conversion lenses for the 100 series, the wide is my favorite.
Dope images man ! XT5 owner.. X-Pro1 owner.. former XT30 owner.. former XT4 owner...and I have always "thought" about the XPRO3 but, never pulled the trigger. I think one of the things that was stopping me was, just being able to peak at the back real quick. Depending on the Fuji camera, the viewfinder isn't always the best but, I've got a weird knack of being able to peak at the back and know how that color and image is going to look on the computer later, or even if I leave as-is...the back screen is really my barometer, how I check and know. Obvs there's ways around it but, looking real quick just works. Huge respect to you for having the discipline and patience, of not having the back screen right there on demand.
Thank you so much!! Love the collection you have. Totally understand what you’re saying about needing to peak at the screen, Fujis EVFs are kind of hit or miss. I appreciate your comment!
Xpro3 was my dream camera for a long time. Bought it when it dropped, and I have to say its def one of the biggest disappointments in terms of cameras for me. I recently sold mine just so I could make some of the money back spent on it. I love everything about that camera, even the controversial screen. My issue with mine was the shutter response is off. I sent my camera in to fujifilm and they confirmed this issue and replaced the top plate. It was working good for about a month and the issue came back. Sent it back to them again and they said there was no issue. So for three years there was a ever so slight delay from the shutter press and when the camera actually captured my image. A friend of mine also had the same issue with his camera. Would love to see if you end up seeing this come up with yours, this was the big downfall for the xpro3 for me.
nice images. I would like to know what's your thoghts on the lowlight performance of. the x-pro3 i saw some of you images are in lowlight and they look great. how much can you push a camera with an APSC sensor? thx
thanks! The lowlight performance is actually pretty impressive. Most of those band photos were shot at f/1.4 and an iso of around 3200-6400. I may have gone to 12,800 for some shots too. I can show you more images from that shoot and get you some more specific data if you shoot me a message on instagram @patrickhrogers
This might be a blessing in disguise bro. Had the xpro 3, two of them as a matter of fact. On both examples I had, the little rear screen showing the film simulation went out. It’s an obvious flaw in the camera. Better to sell before that happens.
Those imagers are beautiful, and also beautifully edited! May I ask, were all those edited separately in Lightroom? Or do you use the internal profiles + some tweaks?
You're gonna love the X100VI. Its definitely a better travel and everyday camera than the X-Pro3 and 50R. But damn it must be sad getting rid of those legendary cameras.
Absolutely loving it so far! Never thought I would sell either of those cameras, so it definitely hurt. Made some great memories with them. Excited to continue using the x100VI!
I recommend setting the digital zoom to the focus ring. The 40 MP is amazing for cropping and adds so much versatility. Also the ND and IBIS are so much fun for handheld slow shutter experiments. One more recommendation is a NiSi black mist filter. It looks OEM, completes the weather sealing, and adds moody character to the images.
I own both the x-pro3 and the x100vI. Love both cameras but if I had to choose between the two, I would keep the x-pro3. Great thing is that I don’t have to. I don’t really do video and I enjoy being able to change lenses.
Yea holmes, you forget to mention your mastery of light and compostion. I have the xp2. A little sad that you're going for the fixed lens but some of my best shots were having ONE lens.
