  • This is a brief look at my process through the walls of fear-based religion growing up, to where I'm at today, free of all the mental and spiritual captivity of the false teachings about God's character and plan for humanity. I hope you can relate to my journey and know that there is a way out of Egypt (more bricks! more bricks!) to the Promised Land, your real home.

Wrath from the Greek Orge means PASSION. So there is no wrath of God upon mankind. God IS love!

Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your story and I definitely relate to everything you said about God and church. For me, hell and the rapture messed up with my psyche and then I felt distant from a God that I knew was loving and kind but the picture of Him being angry and putting people in hell just didn’t sit right. It brought many questions and still on the journey of healing and deconstruction . I liked the questions you mentioned to ask ourselves! I’ll write them down. Thank you for saying the universe is a safe place. I have to relearn to trust and know that!

So I think some people think if there is a hell or if vile people never wake up then there is justice.
I’ve rectified this contradiction, I am wondering how you deal with it. Is it just a gray area where you don’t know, and that’s OK?

    • @tygulick
      @tygulick 3 ปีที่แล้ว

Thank you. This is a great question to consider.
These Bible verses may provide an answer.
"Don’t be misled-you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone-especially to those in the family of faith."
      Galatians 6:7‭-‬10 NLT
This points to real (yet loving accountability):
"Don't be fooled, God can't be treated with contempt: whatever you sow, that's what you reap. If you sow according to your sinful human nature, from that nature you'll reap self-destruction. But if you sow according to the Spirit, from the Spirit you'll reap eternal life. Let's never tire of doing good, for we'll reap a harvest at the proper time, if we don't give up. So while we have time, let's do good to everyone-especially to those who belong to the family of faith."
      Galatians 6:7‭-‬10 FBV
This is about discipline from God:
"And have you forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you as his children? He said, “My child, don’t make light of the Lord ’s discipline, and don’t give up when he corrects you. For the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child.” As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as his own children. Who ever heard of a child who is never disciplined by its father? If God doesn’t discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children at all. Since we respected our earthly fathers who disciplined us, shouldn’t we submit even more to the discipline of the Father of our spirits, and live forever? For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God’s discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in his holiness. No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening-it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. Mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong."
      Hebrews 12:5‭-‬13 NLT

    • @RaisingHell

I think that Justice looks a lot different than what we think. True justice is an awakening that happens inside of us when we realize what we've done to harm others and we do whatever it takes to write that wrong as the person we have wronged is ready. And I believe that this will happen for all of us at some point in the story. And the beauty of true justice is that it brings atonement or At-One-Ment.

    • @RaisingHell
      @RaisingHell  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

Well, first of all, it doesn't say the gate to hell is wide. It says "wide is the gate that leads to destruction." Now we must consider what the word "destruction" (apoleia, apollumi) means in context of the New Testament usage. If you look up all the places these words are used, they give you a variety of meanings, none of which means total and final loss or destruction. I devote a section of Raising Hell to demonstrating that this word also means, in biblical context, the destruction the precedes renewal. Happy hunting!

I can see from your video it was hard being a believer. But isnt that why Jesus said enter through the narrow gate. When Jesus said the way is narrow that leads to life He wasnt joking. I have studied and watched videos on this and read articles and i believe less that less than 15% of people in this world will be saved. Its actually hard to give a precise number because in history people were more faithful to God and more keen on religion and faith, perhaps too keen.
The point i am making is the benefits outweigh the suffering. Eternity is not a couple of days my dear. If you want to spiritually grow and develop you need to sharpen your mind and spiritually work to change your outlook. Suffering comes with the journey, but God will be with you in Spirit, and the bible is a guidance for life. Its like a marriage, its easy to say the vows at the wedding. but much harder to live with the partner, and sometimes they are in a bad mood, or not in the mood. other times things happen which really test the relationship. The same is true spiritually. but if you fight through the pain good times will come in the end. Except they will never go away in the spiritual sense.

How to be saved by simply believing in Christ Jesus the loving savior:
Paul told us that the only way to be saved is by faith alone in what Jesus did for us on the cross. -- 'What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” 4 Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt." (Romans 4:1-4)
Again, Paul confirmed this in Romans 10 9 through 10 when he writes, "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
So you see, salvation is simply by trusting what Jesus did in John 3:16 which says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."
After you believe this - if you choose to believe it - you are now circumcised and free from the curse of the law, and you now have Liberty in Christ and you are separate from the law, (no longer under the curse of condemnation). As it reads, "Or do you not know, brethren (for I speak to those who know the law), that the law has dominion over a man as long as he lives? 2 For the woman who has a husband is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives. But if the husband dies, she is released from the law of her husband. 3 So then if, while her husband lives, she marries another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from that law, so that she is no adulteress, though she has married another man. 4 Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another-to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God. 5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death. 6 But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter." (Romans 7:1-6)
Again, it is by faith alone that a person is justified and saved - " But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus." (Romans 3:21-26)
The law CANNOT save anyone from sin - " Has then what is good become death to me? Certainly not! But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful. 14 For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15 For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. 16 If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good. 17 But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. 19 For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. 20 Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.
21 I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. 22 For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. 23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 I thank God-through Jesus Christ our Lord!
So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin." (Romans 7:13-25)
The law does nothing but bring a curse to those who try to trust in themselves for salvation - " For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.” 11 But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.” 12 Yet the law is not of faith, but “the man who does them shall live by them.”
13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." (Galatians 3: 10-14)
Purpose of the law: " What purpose then does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator. 20 Now a mediator does not mediate for one only, but God is one.
21 Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law. 22 But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. 23 But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. 24 Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor." (Galatians 3: 19-25)
So you see, those who believe are not under law, and they are not under the curse of the law. Jesus made it so easy to be saved. It's not by working to keep salvation or try to gain it because salvation is a free gift. - "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast." (Ephesians 4:4-9)
Once you have believed, you CANNOT lose your salvation, as the apostle Paul says, "Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:37-39)

Honey, you're under legalism. It breaks my heart because you grew up in a church that taught illegalism, and now it makes it so hard for you to trust in Jesus who died for you in the way that he meant for you to. Jesus loves ALL people - "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16)
Jesus fulfilled the law, so you don't have to. “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill." (Matthew 5:17 NKJV Bible)
Jesus is the propitiation and advocate for our sins and for the WHOLE world - "And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world." (1 John 2:1-2)
In the next verse we see Jesus saying one can't SEE the kingdom of God unless he/she is born of God - "Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:11)
Jesus tells us how to be saved when He says believing in Him saves you - “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
In the next verse following the above verse, he explains what that condemnation is when He says, "And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed." (John 3:19-20)
We all need a savior to place our faith in, and Jesus is our High Priest who can sympathize with our weakness, if we trust Him:
1:) "Seeing then that we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." (Hebrews 4:14-16)
The law is not for believers, it was for those who lived before the time of Jesus' death who were still under law. Nobody can keep it.
*Freed from the Law of sin and death**
"Or do you not know, brethren (for I speak to those who know the law), that the law has dominion over a man as long as he lives?
    **Sins advantage in the law**
"What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.” 8 But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all manner of evil desire. For apart from the law sin was dead. 9 I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died. 10 And the commandment, which was to bring life, I found to bring death. 11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it killed me. 12 Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good." (Romans 7:7-12)
    **Law cannot save from sin**
"Has then what is good become death to me?

Trust Jesus, yeah. If you lift out the hell doctrine from the christian belief system its one thing but as long as you have the threath of hell there you cant trust that God.
How could you? Here you have a diety who says that he loves you but if you dont love him back and believe in him he will lock you inside his torture chamber for eternity.
If thats not an abusive and sick relationship I dont know what the hell it is. How you christians cant see that is beyond insane.
      Wake up.

"I only came for the lost sheep of the house of Israel." ~Jesus Christ in Matthew 15:24 first century
"Redemption was only for those who sinned under the first covenant." ~Apostle Paul in Hebrews 9:15 first century
"Jesus came only to redeem those under the Old Covenant Law." ~Apostle Paul in Galatians 4:5 first century
"Where there is no (Old Covenant) Law, sin is not taken into account." ~Apostle Paul in Romans 5:13 first century
"The ADOPTION into Sonship, the GLORY, the COVENANTS (both Old&New), the giving of the LAW, the WORSHIP and the PROMISES only BELONGED to (ancient) ISRAELITES." ~Apostle Paul in Romans 9:4 first century
The Bible is the story of Yahweh's fulfilled plan of redemption given exclusively to ancient Israelites cursed with the Old Covenant Law of sin and death and pertains to no one alive today.
Isn't it time to stop pretending to be ancient Israelites?
