Can we also talk about how much things cost that both women and men use, but women pay more? Women's deodorant, shampoo, razors -- all more expensive that men's, just because they're pink. And often not even as good of quality.
Theres actually a legit reason for that. Its because women make it a point to take care of themselves more than men, so women are the targeted consumer, which is why most commercials relate to them. Hair products, facial, feminine care, etc etc. lol
@@4WaveRider4 That's cuz society pressures women to look conventially attractive which requires makeup, hair products etc. When women don't look conventially attractive they generally have a more difficult time cuz of less job opprtuinities, being more judged and generally receiving bias from others cuz of their appearance so it's a lose-lose situation, you either spend more money on these products that are overtaxed just cuz of being a woman or don't and get less chances to earn money.

Glad to see these guys are fairly knowledgeable. I worked with a guy who said "I don't know why you don't just sit on a toilet when it's that time of month"! One of the few times I've ever been speechless.
Oh, I just love sitting on a toilet for eight days straight. I bring my laptop and have Zoom calls right on the toilet, get the DoorDash man to break into my house and bring my chicken masala right to my bathroom, get my friends to hang out with me in the bathroom, and I got a neck pillow so I can sleep right on the toilet. It’s so much easier than putting on a few pads! I have just a little bit of muscular atrophy when it’s done, but I think it makes me look nice and gothy 😍 love love love! 10/10 absolutely suggest /s
They didn't even get to MULTIPLE bras, pads, panty liners, shaving needs, or make-up, much less accessories (try wearing the same shoes and jewelry all the time...).
As a guy, I agree. Being price-gouged just because one is born female is not anywhere near okay. Nobody chooses to be born a certain s€x, gender, race or whatever so in my mind this should be considered discrimination.
The measurements on the cup are for medical reasons. If you suspect you have abnormally heavy or light flow, you can measure and keep track of how frequently you empty it and provide your physician or gynaecologist with accurate information.
A friend if mine used to do this too when he was single. Once he told me that when there're tampons and pads for every girl in the bathroom the girlfriends of hid friends stood longer at Partys so he could have more fun with his friends and the girls could feel comfortable. He also had no problem to make a hot water bottle for a girl so she has less cramps.
As someone who went to school last century, this video is amazing. The young men back then could not have been able to explain how tampons work even if you asked them right after health class. These guys are beautiful and knowledgeable
"Pads/tampons and medical stuffs are 5-10x cheaper here.": While that's great and all, it still doesn't erease the fact that women are being financially punished for siply being female. There should be zero taxes on products that are essential to life.
I added up the cost of each thing, assuming the following: You get haircuts maybe 3-4 times a year, but you do it basically all your life. (Sometimes you go with cheap haircuts, sometimes with spendy cuts + color + perm or straightening, sometimes corrective measures from what the previous hair person did.) You menstruate for roughly 40 years, on average. You have sex while fertile for, on average, 30 years or so. You wear bras for all but about the first ten years of life. You wear shapewear, if you feel you must, for maybe 50 years. Skin care can be extremely cheap, or extremely expensive, so I took an average. Birth control on a regular basis for those who require it, plus the Plan B for post-assault purposes (dudes: try to remember that just because a person is pregnant doesn't mean THEY made any decisions at all). Adding up all those averages, I got to about $200,000 over a lifetime. Where I live, that's barely a downpayment on a starter home, but in some places I could buy a really nice house on 100 acres of land for that price. Straight men: Consider that, next time you think someone owes you sex because you bought dinner and a movie.
In case some women out there never thought off it - use a men's safety razor for shaving. The blades cost like 0.05$ a piece, have two sides to use and you will not cut yourself. It's a men's product tho, so you can only choose between the colours stainless steel, carbon, fighter jet and epic death by fist fighting a pack of lions.
@@07Flash11MRC Ofcourse it doesn't. Also, I never stated, that my tip will change the way women get treated by society. Still, using these razors saves you alot of money and they shave better, as you can use a fresh blade every week or so.
They should include things like socks. No joke I price checked women's socks against men and for the same size, same brand, same number of pairs of socks, men's socks were cheaper by about $3-$5. Then there's also shirts, pants, and swimwear, and shoes.
That one dude has had a whole lotta experience in all of this. Lol These guys are actually trying fairly hard to understand things, which I commend them for. People raised them right.
Once when i was 15, my Dad said: If a man doesn't understand how your tubing works, dont let him put his tube in you. He needs to pass plumber school first. 😂😂😂
8:32… Most hair salons/barber shops really do charge based on gender and not the actual hairstyle. I’m a woman who had short hair for many years, one of the typical $15 men’s hairstyles they’d advertised on posters at Supercuts, but every month or so when I’d go in for a trim they would always charge me the price of a woman’s haircut (which was around $50). It pissed me off, because while I could understand my first haircut costing that much as I had more hair then, it didn’t make any sense for them to charge me so much more than the male customers I’d sit next to who got the same cut for $15. I didn’t get any extra treatment, just a simple trim up with a buzzer on the sides and an inch off the top, in total taking the hairstylist 10 minutes or less. I brought it up one day while the cashier ringed me up and politely asked why I got charged for a “women’s haircut” when I actually got the men’s listed cut. The cashier kinda stumbled with a response for a bit, then said “I actually don’t know… let me ask the stylist.” After she asked, she came back and ringed me up for the men’s haircut instead. 🫤
I'll never understand the huge hairdo price gap. Like, I wear my hair the exact same way as my male colleague, yet I pay 130 for my cut while he pays 70. No hairdye, no fancy treatments, just a simple wash and cut. Why the 50 difference, make it make sense.
When I was 12, I went to visit my older brother at his house and I'd leaked through my trousers because my period was very heavy so he gave me a pair of his shorts and told me there were pads in the bathroom I could use. I asked him why he had them seeing as his girlfriend at the time used tampons, and he said it was for any female friend or visitor that came by and got their period. It's nice to know he's not the only guy who does this!
My family owned a hair salon since before I was born so thankfully my uncles will do my hair for free but when I was younger I got my hair dyed light brown and blonde highlights on my super long (naturally dark) hair and my uncle spent hours doing it. I wanted to pay him because he was having health issues so I asked my aunt what it would cost and boy I could never afford that in my life😅 I paid him like $270 but that wasn’t even near what it would cost a regular client LOL also I live in Houston tx so not really an expensive city
The measurements on the dova cup are to keep track of your flow. We know that if you fill a tampon in less than an hour it could mean something is wrong and you should see a doctor, but diva cups can hold a lot more than tampons, so the measurements are basically to make sure youre not bleeding too much..
The measurements on the diva cup are to track your blood flow. Some woman bleed too much and may need to see the doctor, but it's difficult to tell how much you're bleeding over the entire period with a pad or tampon. The cup makes possible and can help women with certain health condition that don't know that their flow is irregular or may be an early sign of something being wrong.
FIGHT THE "LUXURY TAX" LADIES! YES... THESE things like tampons and pads and other hygiene products get taxed AS LUXURY ITEMS. Join the fight again their inclusion as being luxury tax items!!!
Nope, when I cut out luxury spending, I just bleed all over the bus seats. Men are impressed by my frugality every time they see red running down my pants. They say that scrubbing their couch cushions is a small price to pay to keep my unnecessary spending in check. Absolutely something you can do without, and everyone around you will agree!
Let’s see… $20 - $50 a month during period (This includes pads, tampons, pain relievers, heating pads, food cravings, etc) $100 loss if I have to miss a day of work. So I’m gonna round to $600 a year. $12 underwear x 12 a year = $144 $30-$50 bras & sports bras x 3-6 a year = $200 (I only buy undergarments on sale and when I need them so I know I’m going light on these prices) $30 shapewear x 3 a year = $90 Hair cuts & products = $300 a year Skin care & makeup = $400 a year Salons, nails, waxing, maintenance = $300 a year (Not gonna include birth & contraceptives bc they don’t apply to me & I don’t know costs) For me, for the stuff I listed, Totals $2,034… Now there are women who spend less (like my mother) and women who spend much much more bc they live in places where prices are MUCH higher… but I go very cheap on many things and still pay over $2000 a year just on maintenance
17:16 As someone working in the pharmacy where I sell these.... it's always nice whenever a man even comes along with the woman. And even nicer when they just "shove" her aside and pay for it. Or for the morning after pill. But it's very rare. Very rare. Thankfully one thing is more rare: Him knowing more about her cycle than she does. Only had that once, and she was kinda freaking out and tried to stay cool. Poor thing was so concerned that I would judge her. But seeing as English was both our second language...and it was my first time having this conversation in English... I was a bit stiff.😅 However we got along great and I learned a bit more. And thankfully she wasn't in need to see a doctor. Cos they were on vacation....1000km from home.
I remember years ago there was an investigative show (can't recall the name) that had a man and then a woman take IDENTICAL white button-up shirts to several dry cleaners and...surprise, surprise...but not really...the woman was charged up to twice more for - and I repeat - the IDENTICAL white shirt. Same for car repairs. Same for a lot of things. And it is still happening today. 😡
I mentioned the dry cleaning game in my comment earlier as well. It doesn't matter if a male or female drop a shirt off at the cleaners, it is the difference of the location of the buttons and button holes that they know if it is a male or female shirt. Female shirts have the buttons on the left and holes on the right. Males the opposite. Don't ask me why.
So many of us buy and guide our dudes in what to buy for their products. Make no mistake, men's products are geared for women to buy. 😂😂😂 It's so true, cause I'm guilty of totally controlling scents and ingredients in all our products. 😂
I bet there would be way less products and way less money that they spend. Like razors for shaving their beards and the shaving cream…. And that’s literally it, but I’m not a boy so idk
The measurements are to help keep track of dysmenorrhoea, like you're bleeding excessively or far too little. You shouldn't be bleeding more than 35mls-80mls per period (not per day!). 80mls-200mls is medically classed as heavy menstrual bleeding and should be looked into. More than 200mls and you're getting into emergency territory
The haircut thing is ridiculous. I have short hair and always ask for a regular mens' cut. And ALWAYS get charged womens'-price :( But I have seen one place listing prices for short hair vs long hair instead of men/women. Really hope that becomes regular practice in more places.
The crazy part is that women are expected to pay for all of this extra stuff to look good and cis women have to buy stuff to deal with stuff our bodies just do.Then we still get paid less on average just making it that much worse. If you get a professional job its even worse. To even attend an interview we need to buy hair products and tools, makeup, nail products or get our nails done at the salon, possibly a brow wax or tweeze unless you can do your own eyebrows and still have to have professional looking clothing like men.
How about women's razors being more expensive, contraceptive pills, makeup, and the fact that in some countries health insurance is more expensive for women because we might get pregnant...
@@noelleabra147 the point is flying over ur head. the point is that they shouldn't have to not buy them because they're expensive. why should they have to buy men's razors, why r they advertised as 'men's' and 'women's' when they're the same thing. why r things labeled as 'women's' more expensive. that's the point. not having sex shouldn't be the solution. not wearing makeup shouldn't be the solution.
18:48 "what are chance you get a doctor's appointment in those 3 days".. Aussie here, I can get a doctor's appointment with less than 24 hours notice, no issue. If I check in the morning, I could probably get a same-day appointment. Worst case, I could go to a walk-in clinic, but I might have to wait a few hours. American healthcare is messed up!
Well there are Urgent Care centers, but I'm not sure if one could get that prescription from them. But for other doctors, the heavens moved if you got an appointment within 24 hours.
If you get billie razors, they are made for women and don't have the pink tax and you can get different "girly" colors. Mine is orange, pink, and turquoise. Highly recommend them.
In case anyone is wondering why the diva cup has measurements: its so you can determine how heavy or light your flow is and track to see if anything unusual is happening during one of your cycles.

@@lrob06yeah, when your country doesn't hate women, you actually make policies that serve them too.
Hair products, facial, feminine care, etc etc. lol
Honestly for products that work the same, I've started getting the men's version to save money. It's saved me a lot by now. 😅
I have been a woman at a mans house when I unexpectedly started my period.
He had a little box of pads/tampons, he had normal and night for both, so 4 (FOUR!!!) options.
I have never been more relieved
5:06 “I love women what can i say” LMAO I love jackson sm
I am incredibly impressed by how much these boys know. These are some well adjusted boys.
They didn't even get to MULTIPLE bras, pads, panty liners, shaving needs, or make-up, much less accessories (try wearing the same shoes and jewelry all the time...).
Feminine hygiene products should be TAX free
Michigan's governor/government signed it into law just a year or so ago 👏👏👏👏....right about the time I hit menopause 😄
They should!!
The man who said he buys tampons to keep at his apartment for women when they come over… *Now that’s a REAL MAN.* 👏🏻
A friend if mine used to do this too when he was single.
Yes they are 😊
I’m happy all of them collectively agreed being a woman is hard…
As a European I have to say that... America is fking expensive. Pads/tampons and medical stuffs are 5-10x cheaper here.
"Pads/tampons and medical stuffs are 5-10x cheaper here.": While that's great and all, it still doesn't erease the fact that women are being financially punished for siply being female. There should be zero taxes on products that are essential to life.
@@07Flash11MRC It's not essential. It's just convinient.
I want more of Jaxon and Benison please! They match each others energies so well.
Measurements are for monitoring your blood loss especially if you are a heavy bleeder or are more likely to have anemia
I concur
The “..and live in the wrong state.” Absolutely hits home for be, as I’m from Texas. 😩
I added up the cost of each thing, assuming the following:
You get haircuts maybe 3-4 times a year, but you do it basically all your life.
(Sometimes you go with cheap haircuts, sometimes with spendy cuts + color + perm or straightening, sometimes corrective measures from what the previous hair person did.)
You menstruate for roughly 40 years, on average.
I've spent more on one outfit picked out just for my guy's tastes than my guy has ever spent on dinner.
Still doesn't change the fact that women are unnecessarily price-gouged by both the state and the private economy for the exact same products as men.
@@07Flash11MRC Ofcourse it doesn't. Also, I never stated, that my tip will change the way women get treated by society. Still, using these razors saves you alot of money and they shave better, as you can use a fresh blade every week or so.
I was shocked when I saw that this video was posted a year ago and all the comments were like a few hours ago LOL. Algorithm is weird.
"it's not a shot glass"
"Well... for Dracula, maybe"
No freaking way hahahahahahahahah
They should include things like socks. No joke I price checked women's socks against men and for the same size, same brand, same number of pairs of socks, men's socks were cheaper by about $3-$5. Then there's also shirts, pants, and swimwear, and shoes.
Aaaannnnddd that's why I shop in both the men and women sections for clothes....
It's the same for all women's clothing. They will be thinner and use less fabric, but be more expensive.
That one dude has had a whole lotta experience in all of this. Lol
These guys are actually trying fairly hard to understand things, which I commend them for. People raised them right.
I love how these guys are so down to earth in willing to understand the woman's side much respect thanks guys
Once when i was 15, my Dad said: If a man doesn't understand how your tubing works, dont let him put his tube in you. He needs to pass plumber school first. 😂😂😂
Omg 😂
Love it! And if they're afraid of purchasing pads and/or tampons, discard THEM.
😂😂😂😂 you're dad is awesome
your dad is funny 😂 snd he speaks truth 👍🏽👍🏽
What the hell did I just read? XD
That is probably the funniest way to package this important message!
You should let them read the birth control side effects 😂😂😂
I'll never understand the huge hairdo price gap. Like, I wear my hair the exact same way as my male colleague, yet I pay 130 for my cut while he pays 70. No hairdye, no fancy treatments, just a simple wash and cut. Why the 50 difference, make it make sense.
Sexism.
Does he go to a barber rather than a hair stylist? If so, you could also go to a barber's 😊
I've given up and cut my own hair as the cost is so high!
go to a barber then. im guessing you go to a hair stylist/dresser.
mad respect for the guy who keeps tampons in his apartment for any female visitors tbh
Lets not forget that not only is there regular sales tax on all those period items . They also have a luxury tax.
No longer a luxury tax in Michigan.
The world is bigger than Michigan
When I was 12, I went to visit my older brother at his house and I'd leaked through my trousers because my period was very heavy so he gave me a pair of his shorts and told me there were pads in the bathroom I could use. I asked him why he had them seeing as his girlfriend at the time used tampons, and he said it was for any female friend or visitor that came by and got their period.
It's nice to know he's not the only guy who does this!
10:49 "I'm so used to taking them off that in not used to feeling it!" 😂And Benison's face is priceless! "😮" IM CRYING
So hard to accept the fact that Jaxson is old enough to take ladies bras off. Lmao 🤣 I've been watching since he was just a young lad
$450 ?!?!?!?! For a haircut ???? Listen, as a woman myself ABSOLUTELY NOOOT !!!!
For a cut and highlights, I’d be surprised it could happen
Where does a girl like that get $450 from to waste on a haircut like that? It doesn't look particularly special.
The only time I've paid that much I got a perm and i went to HS the stylist so I tipped him a lot
Now talk about how many pairs of underwear we ruin (and have to replace) in our lifetimes.
"You can buy a baby?" Yeah man it's called adoption. 😂
off topic but all the guys in the video are keepers like they all so kind and funny lmao
They didn't even bring up UTI medication or birth control pills.
The guy who keeps tampons for others is ridiculously attractive, it's true.
wish they talked about pads too instead of just tampons and cups
Reusable pads are worth it :P
I go more for pads than tampons
@@daisyhenriquez2867 Me too
@@ScaryGeorgia26 I can never find em. 😢
Right since most women use pads.
Imagine if they included period underwear in this video. You’d be surprised how expensive it is
The "Ally" tag was cracking me up omg
The measurements on the dova cup are to keep track of your flow. We know that if you fill a tampon in less than an hour it could mean something is wrong and you should see a doctor, but diva cups can hold a lot more than tampons, so the measurements are basically to make sure youre not bleeding too much..
All these men how they state they love women and clearly see we don’t have it easy is just so heart warming
The guy that keeps tampons in his house is a keeper
Which in turn probably helps the high volume of women coming to his house seeing he keep tamps on hand at all times now.
I wish they had told them how often the products also would need to be replaced
The measurements on the diva cup are to track your blood flow. Some woman bleed too much and may need to see the doctor, but it's difficult to tell how much you're bleeding over the entire period with a pad or tampon. The cup makes possible and can help women with certain health condition that don't know that their flow is irregular or may be an early sign of something being wrong.
Should've shown the "pink tax" and had them guess the female item's price compared to what they are used to buying.
Let’s see…
$20 - $50 a month during period
(This includes pads, tampons, pain relievers, heating pads, food cravings, etc)
$100 loss if I have to miss a day of work.
So I’m gonna round to $600 a year.
$12 underwear x 12 a year = $144
$30-$50 bras & sports bras x 3-6 a year = $200 (I only buy undergarments on sale and when I need them so I know I’m going light on these prices)
$30 shapewear x 3 a year = $90
Hair cuts & products = $300 a year
Skin care & makeup = $400 a year
Salons, nails, waxing, maintenance = $300 a year
(Not gonna include birth & contraceptives bc they don’t apply to me & I don’t know costs)
For me, for the stuff I listed,
Totals $2,034…
Now there are women who spend less (like my mother) and women who spend much much more bc they live in places where prices are MUCH higher… but I go very cheap on many things and still pay over $2000 a year just on maintenance
Exactly
And all of this with a lower income...
Our society is fucked up.
"cause they're more beautiful- DUH?" 😂😂😂
5:45 idk why i'm laughing so much, but the way he said "oooff affordable diva cuup!" KILLED ME! hfkjdhgjk
EVERYONE BEING HERE IN THE SAME TIMEFRAME IS HILARIOUS
We need a girls version about man products 😂😂😂 the guys were freaking 😂😂😂😂
So many of us buy and guide our dudes in what to buy for their products. Make no mistake, men's products are geared for women to buy. 😂😂😂 It's so true, cause I'm guilty of totally controlling scents and ingredients in all our products. 😂
100% this needs to happen & and it’s gonna be just as educational & hilarious as this episode 🤣
I bet there would be way less products and way less money that they spend. Like razors for shaving their beards and the shaving cream…. And that’s literally it, but I’m not a boy so idk
Since this is FBE, there is a chance that it is already in the making...
You can definitely tell who grew up with sisters and who didn’t lol
MUCH love to you guysm that UNDERSTANDS how expensive some women stuff is!!!
The measurements are to help keep track of dysmenorrhoea, like you're bleeding excessively or far too little. You shouldn't be bleeding more than 35mls-80mls per period (not per day!). 80mls-200mls is medically classed as heavy menstrual bleeding and should be looked into. More than 200mls and you're getting into emergency territory
seriously more people need to know this and not have heavy periods brushed off. I used to fill a cup in 45min-1hr and even an ob/gyn blew me off
The haircut thing is ridiculous. I have short hair and always ask for a regular mens' cut. And ALWAYS get charged womens'-price :(
But I have seen one place listing prices for short hair vs long hair instead of men/women.
The first 3 things are optional. Buy men's razors (they're the same thing), don't have sex, and don't wear makeup. None of that is forced.
That guy who knew uterine lining...call me 😅
🤣
I wasn't prepared for the non-toxicity of these guys.... 😭💕
They didn't even get into 'pink tax' items. Razors, vitamins, shampoo, everything geared towards women just cost more.
Yeah, because more money is spent on marketing
Thats why I buy the mens caffeine shampoo and not the womans. I don't care if I go around smelling of man. 😂
What I do during my period: WATCH MEN TRY TO GUESS HOW MUCH BEING A WOMEN COSTS
