- Forza Motorsport is being demoed behind closed doors at gamescom on the Xbox Series X and it’s obvious that the team has been hard at work. Taking us through the new Builders Cup, we got a look at some new cars, updated graphics, and the Mugello circuit track. Here are our first reactions.

What's sad here is that he mentioned Nurburgring and the other guy says "that's the best one!". Clearly he's referring to the Nordschleife and not the GP circuit. And the Nordschleife isn't even going to be available at launch. So he got hype for a track he can't even have until Spring 2024.
Glad us OG's decided we had enough and were gonna try it with game pass.

Do you know how laser scanning works? It takes a really long time. And that's what they're doing. Laser scanning over 13 miles has probably taken them years. I'd rather wait than have a rushed product. Get over it.
@arivette2010 they have had years. They poorly allocated their resources and they know it. I'm no hater. I've been playing since FM1 on original Xbox. But I'm also not a fan boy who supports mistakes that could have and should have been avoided.

So many mistakes reporting this... Nurburgring "one of the best tracks of racing videogames." Do they know it is a real world track? The butchering in pronunciation of so many names such as Mugelo, Audi, and "the African one." They literally have no idea what they are talking about.

Forza Motorsport is not a sim, it has more sim elements than Horizon, but it's not a sim
Cockpit view is disappointing. Even when you go over bumps it seems like the car is just floating over the track rather than racing on the track.
Finally someone said it. The cockpit view in The Crew Motorfest is the best one I've seen so far in any racing game, all the rest is just meh, especially in this game

GT7 wasn't the game it is now as it was at launch, that took two years, so expecting everything day 1 on a racing game never happens, especially in 2023, same for every game these days lol

Destin, If you want to actually try a sim, GT and Forza isn’t it, they are simcades. And Audi isn’t pronounced like that. Does IGN really not had a person that is into actual racing sims and knows what they are talking about that could have covered this?
They are there for covering the event, not just one game, that it isn't really the big next game.
Besides, the contrast with Horizon was clear. If want a game with more focus on simulation you get Forza, more arcade experience you get Horizon. Nobody really expect to have a full sim race experience in a console.
The fact that even AR12 Nick just left a “yikes” comment says a lot.

What is with that cockpit camera, so stiff, no sense of speed, nothing, it's as bad as Gran Turismo's cameras, Forza Horizon 5 has amazing cockpit camera compared to this.

NFS Shift was First to do it , PCARS 1 spawned from the Cancelled Shift 3, but dropped the Cornering EXP mechanic, which did not return until PCARS 3, which was originally going to be a Spin off based purely on Closed Public Road Tracks and with Only Road Cars as a Sort of PCARS Take on the Old PGR Games before Ian Bell Decided to make it a Numbered Sequel and Ruined the whole PCARS Franchise and Driving SMS back into the Hands of Evil Alliance in the Process!

@rodman0088 top 5% thanks, not that it really matters or have anything to do with wanting the best Forza Motorsport to date. Its not bitter man, it's an opinion. They harp on each time it's a simulation and they wanna be taken serious, yet every release is the same arcade game designed for accessibility.

Xbox has no VR. Maybe in the future. For now GT7 is the go to for VR in console
forza 7 launched more than 700 cars and 33 track. with Nürburgring with split screen. and this game even laucnhed 60fps on xbox one. plus with game demo.

I'm si disappointed from the coverage of this title... From less than 2 months from launch and we don't see pretty much anything of a real gameplay...

Given it has been in development for 6 years and has full support from Microsoft the game looks really disappointing. As soon as there's a 2 minute interview they talk about tire fidelity ... is there nothing else to talk about?
The cockpit view looked so awful at the beginning of the video. The hands were incredibly stiff and even while static they looked so unrealistic. The cockpit looked incredibly dark and almost like the assets were 2D instead of 3D. Very disappointing.

Nürburgring Nordschleife is the most challenging, most dangerous but also one of the most beautiful racetracks in the world. 10/10 people who are really into motorsport, would agree.
