OMG.. I'm the whitest man on the planet and I just want to hug you and celebrate. Watching you enjoy this was freaking awesome. This is deep American spirit. May God bless you.
You can't listen to this song and not have a smile on your face. I don't care what your background with music is, it's transcending no matter what era you are from.
Outlaw Country at it's best!!! For me, it's hard to put the Charlie Daniels Band in a genre, but what comes to mind is, Blue Grass, country, Appalachia folk, etc. A blend of mountain music, which takes its inspirations from Irish, Scottish, and American folk and blends them all to make this 😊.
The part that Johnny played; Fire on the mountain, Chicken in the breadpan etc. Are songs in and of themselves, so what you hear are just the names of the songs that Johnny played. So people think Johnny didn't play as well as the devil don't understand that.

Your sheer joy in the music is beautiful to see. Furthermore, I have been watching these videos for 2 hours now and I think its fantastic to see you young people giving this older stuff a chance. I'd like to see some of you sitting with older people and letting us hear some of your music that you think we'd like or that means something to you. Music is something we all have in common. It's a wonderful way to connect
When I first listened to this song in the 80's, I heard the word bitch for the first time. I'm 58 now and I still remember every word. This was way before lip synching and song boards. Every sounds that was made was made from those instruments. Classic.
Unfortunately Charlie left us about a year ago headed up to that big concert in the sky. He was not only a consummate musician and performer but he was very giving of his own time. In the Florida county where I live he helped build The Angelus House that serves and houses people with severe cerebral palsy and other chronic handicaps. He held annual shows to raise money for The Angelus for decades.
Charlie Daniels Southern rap classic was released in 1979. Talk about ahead of the curve,, Great reaction!! (btw HB, I'm pretty sure no one will be comparing your voice to Charlie Daniels :-) Highest regards sir, RNB
i love music too my man and to see the emotion and vibration and uplifting appreciation you feel deep down in your soul man is something ALL people can share. Much love, great react. Many thanks-G
I absolutely adore your grin listening to this, the sheer JOY in your face made my month. This is an incredible and fun piece of music, and it always fun. Your reaction brought me so much joy that I was laughing out loud.
Robert "Bobcat" Goldthwaite was a comedian who began his career in the 1980s; he used unusual vocalizations that were a combination of raspy and high-pitched, maybe kind of like your voice gets when you get excited. (Which is wonderful by the way, I love your reactions.)
I loved going out and listening to my brother sing this karaoke. Being able to sing the words so fast while keeping the rhythm is amazing. He is no Charlie Daniels but it is an impressive song to even sing at the most basic level.
HazeBruv...great reaction. You made me smile as u got into this classic. We used to swill beers and square dance around a campfire when this song played. Chicken's in the bread pan pickin out dough. Granny does your dog bite ? No child no were phrases called out while square dancing and you do certain steps and turns. 45 yrs ago we made some sweet memories. Nice to walk down that lane today and smile. Thanks 😊😊😊
My father was a coach bus driver in Pennsylvania who ran mostly day trips to the capital, Atlantic city, Philly, ect. One night, his boss called frantically saying they needed a driver and bus to take Charlie and his band to Atlanta because their bus broke down on the interstate near our town. My dad drove them fourteen hours south and although he was told, "You see NOTHING" I was told there was a lot of bottles, rolling of funny smelling cigarettes, at least....They had fun the whole trip. My dad died in 1980, he drove them right around the time they did this concert, possibly coming from Saratoga Springs, going back down south again, later this same night? Maybe. This song was a kids dream because of the SOB that was edited on some stations with the word gun.
Man, I forgot about a Charlie Daniels song that I ran across recently called "Uneasy Rider". It's an earlier song (1973) that reflects the "country hippie" nature of CDB... I'm sure you'll love the lyrics. It's one of the best "storyteller" songs I've ever heard. Basically, it's about getting a flat tire in the boonies in the "Old Deep South"... and the hilarity that ensues.
Oh geez, I forgot about this song! Good one! There was another funny song called The Mississippi Squirrel Revival but I can't remember the guy's name who sang it. I know someone reading this will know and hopefully help a sister out lol
Jerry Reed has several humorous songs. Smokey and the Bandit, or A great one is Amos Moses. And Ray Stevens did the song Mississippi Squirrel Revival. He also did The Streak, which is hilarious.
Great reaction!! So much fun watching your response. Bobcat Goldthwait was in one of my favorite silly movies called Burglar. I believe he played Whoopi's character's best friend. And, yes, you do sound like him.
I’m not usually one for reaction videos and I honestly don’t even really know how I ended up here, but this was dope. It was so great to see you jamming out and having fun. Anyway, dropped a like, this was a really fun video.
If no one has said it yet, Bobcat Goldthwaite is a comedian. If you want an example of how he spoke, check out the movie Police Academy. He was one of the cadets. And yes, I can see why they make that comparison. As far as suggestions go, for more Charlie Daniels Band, try Still in Saigon, the Legend of Wooley Swamp, and Uneasy Rider for some great music.

Totally agree!
SO TRUE!! I was lucky enough to meet Charlie Daniels and have my photo taken with him some years ago. Such a kind sweet man. RIP Mr. Daniels
Yes, you do. Bobcat!
5:54 actually sounded like Pennywise!
Charlie Daniels was country rapping decades ago...I'd forgotten how fun this song was.

Your reaction to The Charlie Daniels Band was terrific! Your smile was contagious! Thank you!

Don't know who he is, but I love the way you get excited and your voice squeaks. It shows you're into it.
No way, the keyboardist's left arm is in a f*cking sling.
Crazy talent and apparently he got by 1 handed
It's crazy, isn't it? That is some serious skill.
They didn’t call him “Taz” for no reason. He played as good one-handed as many play with both hands.
@@Tuesdays_Gone It blows me away. Hell, there are two people who can't play that amazingly with both hands.
Well shit, what are you gonna do, leave him home, fire him? Let the boy play!

Try Uneasy Rider. I live in Charlie's town, he was a great man and raised millions for veterans and performed many shows for soldiers during wartime.
Yes he did
