    Definitely the best advice in terms of keeping a journal to record your feelings for each specialty your interested in. Very good if you're feeling confused. Thank so much!

    Congrats! I can tell by the way you speak about OBGYN that you have found your true calling! I am hoping to find that same feeling as I start my 3rd year of medical school this Monday! At the moment I'm interested in Dermatology, but I will keep an open mind and allow my future specialty to chose me :D Wishing you all the best with residency xx

    Hello, i’m really interested in being an OB/GYN but I also really like being with family and doing things with family etc, do you think that there’s a lot of time for yourself and family?

    I just graduated undergrad and am taking some time off before applying to medical school. Right now, I’m thinking I’ll either end up choosing pediatrics or OBGYN but it will be so fun to see what I actually end up deciding on. I’ll definitely be keeping a journal - great advice!

      @@akaneakane7893 I won’t know that for quite a few years until I go through rotations :) I’m taking the mcat next month.

    Great video! I would love to see more content about finding a mentor as a medical student and how to make the most of those relationships.

    If you could give me your opinion and enerfy, id be so grateful!
    Alright. So, my hcg at 5 weeks 0 days was 2,960. 48 hrs later it rose appropriately to 5,841. Then, another 48 hrs later i got it tested for my peace of mind and it only rose to 6,163. 3 days later it dropped to 5,557. I got a scan and it showed a sac and yolk but not fetal pole. So, the OBGYN told me i was miscarrying. Well, she scheduled another scan a week later to be conservative. There was a heartbeat of 115bpm with appropriate growth since the last scan (using gestational sac). I got my hcg tested again snd progesterone too. My hcg slightly went up to 6,139 and my progesterone fell to 10 (the most it ever was was 20 at my first hcg draw). So, i got on progesterone. Im super worried about my pregnancy. My doctor is worried its abnormal but she has hope. What could possibly cause this IF it is a normal pregnancy? If it’s abnormal, what kinds of issues are going on? Thankyou for your time. Be well, and continue your passion.

    I wanna be an OB/GYN doctor but I feel like it’s hard lol but this is what I’ve always wanted to do as a kid I graduate hs in 2021 do u think I should go straight into med school?

      You’ll have to go to college to get your bachelors degree before medical school. There are so many different things you can major in though to prepare yourself to take the mcat. I majored in biological sciences and health professions. I have other friends who plan to go to med school that majored in biology, biochemistry, biobehavioral health, and even psych. As long as you have all the prereqs, you’ll be good! Your academic advisor will also be able to assist you :) hope this helped!

    What is a good major to do that you recommend to a senior in high school who is looking for a good major to become an ob gyn?

    • @baileygrones9462
      @baileygrones9462 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think i could help on this as a current pre-med! Medical schools don’t really care what your major is, a general suggestion is to major in something interesting to you that may have some overlap requirements with pre-med prerequisites! (bio, chem, physics)
