Thank you so much! I'm part of the inaugural class at my school so no one to really ask for advice from, people like you are who we are using for guidance - much appreciated!
Glad you found this helpful! Please let me know if there are any other things you want me to talk about! I'm in the process of making a TON of videos about the residency application process :) (how to use ERAS, interview tips, cost of interviewing, etc)
You know what’s funny . I remember when you posted on your Step 1 experience videos and now you posting your step 2 Ck experience .How time flies. I am so happy for you and how far you have come . Wishing you the very best in your intern year ahead .
I hope I can pass USMLE I Don't haves a job,I am 36 years old all my dreams related to USMLE,if I can choose between my life and USMLE I would choose USMLE
I failed my USMLE exam 2 times first was 2020 second was 2021 and I lost money on review questions and also wasted a lot of time studying which never helped me .
Love your videos! I am starting medical school this summer and even though my step 1 is probably going to be pass-fail.. I find these videos really motivational to watch. Congrats on matching!
Congratulations on your med school acceptance(s)!! That's fantastic! I'm glad you are enjoying my videos :) Please let me know if there are any videos you'd like to see, I am happy to make anything that would be helpful for future/current med students!
Love your match video! I was wondering if you can give an update on how you’ll transition into going to residency for example your living situation and the new area as well as how you’re feeling about everything!
Thank you so much! Absolutely, we are still in the process of planning the big move, but definitely keep an eye out for a packing/moving video with some chat about how I'm feeling about starting residency 🙂
This was very inspiring! I am about start dedicated for Step 2 and this will definitely make a difference. I do have a question about the OME videos. Did you watch any OME video during the school year? Asking b/c 've already watched ~80% of OME videos during the year and I think it will be very helpful for me to rewatch everything and was curious if you did.
I truly hope this video will help you prepare for STEP2. In regards to your question about OME videos, I did watch them all during the school year (didn't take notes, just listened attentively), so watching them during dedicated was my second or third time around! I really felt that I got something out of rewatching them :) GOOD LUCK on STEP2!!!
Please, share how you go through a block of questions? How do you handle long stem questions? How long do you spend time solving questions? Any tips on how to deal with or where to start in long stem question? Thank you
Sorry, forgot to mention the flashcards! I hand-wrote flashcards during dedicated only on regular old blank 3x5 index cards of some of the details that were hard for me to remember. I'd make them each day as I was reviewing through content/questions, and try to review them daily, especially during my cram week!
Thank you for your video. When did you take COMP? from the video it sounds like you took it during your core rotations since you only took 3 weeks until taking STEP 2
Congrats on your score! I was wondering how did you review uworld and amboss to pump out that many questions? Did you Take notes or did you just read the Q and answers to prioritize doing as many Q as possible? Thanks!
Cram is a flashcard resource, but many also use ANKI. Cram also means to go through a lot of material in a short period of time. Hope this helped, cheers!
Hi Erika! You mentioned that you reset UWorld before your dedicated period. Were you able to finish all of the questions during dedicated? There are over 3,000 of them! 😩
I reset before dedicates. Since you only get 1 reset, I used it after clerkships, at the beginning of my dedicated, without doing incorrects before. Since I couldn’t again reset, I did do some incorrects, not all, at the end of dedicated. I found this to work well for me, and I do believe this is still how I would do it if I went back in time! Hope that answers your questions!
Hi, thanks so much for your motivational videos. I'm a foreign physician and I'm studying to take my steps here in US. I'd like to ask you if you can help me with some notes that you mention to study. I'm thinking that could be very helpful to me. Or if you have some other tips I'll appreciate it. Thank you in advance
what does it mean when it says flashcards? did you make new cards off of questions you missed, or were you using something like Anki throughout the year and were just doing review cards during those time slots?
Sorry, forgot to mention the flashcards! I hand-wrote flashcards during dedicated only on regular old blank 3x5 index cards of some of the details that were hard for me to remember. I'd make them each day as I was reviewing through content/questions, and try to review them daily, especially during my cram week!
Hmmm...that's a great question! I really am not sure. The content focus is quite different between the two, with STEP1 including more basic sciences and STEP2CK including more clinical questions. However, in the past few years USMLE has really focused on making STEP1 questions more clinical (e.g. by using vignettes). I would say the content definitely blurs together, but the focus of questions differs a good deal--STEP1 they might ask you a question about the pathophysiology of a disease while STEP2CK they might ask you what the first step in management would be. All this being said, I have never personally simultaneously studied for STEP1 and STEP2CK. Perhaps if you are, for instance, an IMG, having already completed all of your medical studies, and now wanting to take the STEPs to apply for a US residency, I could see how studying for both simultaneously would make sense!
Hey Erika! Congratulations on matching! I'm an IMG with this exact same question. Due to the pandemic it's not possible for me to fly to another state and take step 1 (was hoping to take it in late August/ early September.) So I was thinking of starting step 2 ck prep and taking step 1 next year and then step 2 ck within a month of step 1. Just wanna know if it's doable or am I on a step score suicide mission. TIA ❤️
Hey sobaan taj, same as with my step2 score, I don't share my exact step1 score. I did score somewhere in the 270s on step2, and somewhere in the 250s on step1. Check out my step1 video here and you can see all my practice exam scores: th-cam.com/video/AKPKaE6pwpA/w-d-xo.html Hope that's still helpful!
coming back here after I got my score…273!! Thank you so much for posting this.
Wow, this is simply amazing. You would do 65 questions a day even though you had an 8 hour rotation, that is simply amazing.
Doing 10 a day would be difficult, lol. She did super well.

Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching, and good luck on CK!! You got this!
I hope I can pass USMLE I Don't haves a job,I am 36 years old all my dreams related to USMLE,if I can choose between my life and USMLE I would choose USMLE
I've always believed USMLE is not all about studying, you need God's grace to pass
So sorry about that am still looking forward too take my USMLE exam on June just studying hard and praying to God I know I can make it.
USMLE exam is so difficult & I don't know the reason why it should be?
After, 3-4 years of studying we are being challenged be the ultimate exam "USMLE" many students face difficulties in acquiring their license
I failed my USMLE exam 2 times first was 2020 second was 2021 and I lost money on review questions and also wasted a lot of time studying which never helped me .

congrats dear what about having uworld q after each system ?
HI, thanks so much for all the information. my question is: What mean CRAM ?
Cram is a flashcard resource, but many also use ANKI. Cram also means to go through a lot of material in a short period of time. Hope this helped, cheers!
@@awkwardemperor THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP
Would you say that the sample schedule is a general schedule or one that is more tailored to you and your weakened areas?
Thanks alot
For some reason I'm not able to open the document for your study schedule. Is it still accessible? Thank you.
Hello! Did you use regular online flashcards or anki? thanks
Wow you really look like Vicki Chase
Hi Erika! You mentioned that you reset UWorld before your dedicated period. Were you able to finish all of the questions during dedicated? There are over 3,000 of them! 😩
over 4000 now ☹
Hi thank you for your vid! Do you recommend 2 passes of UWorld or 1 pass of Amboss then 1 pass of UWorld for step 2 Ck? Thank you in advance :)
And how did you study for Step 3? That seems to be a tppic no one is covering
Did you use anki for step 1 or 2?
What are those OME videos? osmosis or which one?
Did you reset Uworld or did you do your incorrects? Would you do that all over again?
I reset before dedicates. Since you only get 1 reset, I used it after clerkships, at the beginning of my dedicated, without doing incorrects before. @@DoctorinTraining Yes it does. That's my new goal now. Thanks! Congrats on your awesome score!
The schedule doesnt open. Anyone?
What if I just use amboss library and questions?
