I have also followed Dan from the start...He is on his last roof top. Sometimes I've had to hold my breath because of how dangerous it has been. Can't wait to see the whole roof completely done. Escape to Rural France.

And to see Dan's Chaumont today is mind boggling as to how much work the guys have accomplished, it's really taking shape and this reminds us of how really dire things were. Everyone here have so many challenges to be tackled, so glad I found this channel to watch the progress.
We've been watching Dan (Escape to Rural France) since his first video, while he was still working as a gardener at Chateau Diaries (Stephanie), and working on his own small farm house. So, awhile before he even bought Chaumont. But when we first saw Chaumont, we and everyone said he had a pipe dream that would probably never be realized. And even though he's accomplished huge things (much more than when this was filmed), he still has a long road ahead, to say the least. We love his channel and support him through Patreon. Always wondered what happened to Cameron though!
It's a shame they hadn't time or energy to learn from each other, like securing themselves to go roof climbing w/o Nick to be sure all was safe. Couples who do this all on their own, I mean REALLY alone ... well it takes a lot of courage and I think you have to be a bit mad. Dan at Chateau Chaumont turned me onto this channel. Happy to watch and good luck to all! So much work, determination and money! ❤

Pretty much clickbait using Dan’s image for this. Dan does not have a village, he has one single building. They are seeking to get leverage off his popularity.
So what, Karen?...brings more people to his channel, and that's a good thing...Dan works hard. And as they said, his Chateau essentially saved a village, by how many children were saved. AND Dan probably got a kickback for being on the show, and that's another good thing. If you follow Dan you can see all the good things that came out of being on that show...all the equipment that came to him from it and the help was desperately needed.

i havent followed that long but i can say his youtube revenue is deff helping with the rebuild...
