Colors is an impossible song not to feel.. you can't listen to it without feeling it and that is something special
There are no words to describe the magnificence of this song. 'Transcendent' is about as close as I can get. I send links of 'Colors' to family and friends who are feeling overwhelmed or melancholy in these Covid times, and this song NEVER fails to uplift and fortify weary spirits. It's brilliance soothes the soul. Eric, your voice is a gift to this world, a blessing. Beyond amazing! Adrian, your genius shines in this song and throughout the album. Love the track, especially the keys. Getting the final line of the song right doesn't sound easy (nor enviable live ;) ) from where I'm sitting.
If there's any way to easily balance the song's volume to that of your conversation, it would be much appreciated. The playback is just a little quiet, especially when tracks are muted while you chat. But I'd still rather hear you talk; the to and fro of the conversation is very engaging. I'm just a big fan of these track dissections, and like hearing the individual parts as it appeals to the audio nerd in me.

I serendipitously found your Colors video on TH-cam one Sunday morning in September 2019, Googled you, and within seconds discovered you were playing in Boston the following week! I was there and I had goosebumps the entire show!!! I am a musician, and love so much amazingly beautiful music, but your music writing, sound, musicality, production, Eric’s vocals!!!!!, it’s the direction mainstream music should return to!! I feel about you guys the same way I did when I heard my first Zeppelin song! I was blown away. I can’t wait to see you live again!

Stumbled happily upon this and love to hear the breakdown of your song . . . and finding out the reason it went straight to my soul the first time I heard it two days ago for the Biden/Harris inauguration . . . That it was composed from a spiritual space ;-)) It had an uplifting spiritual and healing effect on likely everyone , world wide , who was watching the inauguration .. . after the last four years ...especially --- and the trauma that reverberated across the planet from the events of Jan. 6th . I have since had to " get my fix " of your masterpiece song/performance more than a few times per day , here ! and I always get a thrill from the little whistle sound of Eric's beautiful last note. . . . not knowing until now how intentional or difficult it was / is ! So , just know --- it's totally appreciated ;-)

I truly enjoyed the 'in's & 'outs' of this song. I may be biased, as it has been my favourite song from the moment I heard it ( early Feb2020? Hard to say, this year has boggled everyone's mind).
