If he's anywhere near the team next year, my 45-year run as a Browns fan ends. I seriously thought it was a joke when I heard they signed him, like an SNL skit. Then to listen to the apologist "bros" ("He hasn't been convicted of a felony. The b*tches were all lying") was, well "cringe" is an inadequate word. WORST DEAL in sports history!
Come on kid, dumb comment about baker. He's only on a team friendly contract now (if you consider 33 million team friendly) because he failed at 3 previous stops. When the Browns traded him, he was looking for top money and wasn't worth it.
This is absolutely right. Baker was a complete no-go from his draft position. His 40 plus million demands were not commensurate with his middling abilities.
@@TheLand_HQ I never said he wasn't. I merely pointed out that your comment was inaccurate and is the definition of hindsight being 20/20. Nothing at the time of the trade would have pointed to it and baker wasn't worth his asking price at the time of the trade
From the very beginning all we heard was what a great fit watson would be in stefanski's offense. Now it wasn't. This management team has been lying or just don't know what they're doing.
Huge browns fans and I can tell you right now Washedton wasn’t gonna learn shit from Flacco. He’s way to arrogant to let a old white guy show him anything. Flacco has absolutely embarrassed Washedton by balling out and doing more in 7 games than Washedton did in 3yrs. I can’t believe they worked out Watson before signing him to the massive 230. It’s obvious he’s a lot slower, lost any accuracy and throwing power. I remember his first game against the Texans he looked like he’d never thrown a football. It’s been horrible watching this scumbag and the dark cloud he brought to the fans and franchise. Nobody wants him in Cleveland I’d already knew there was a lot of guys that didn’t like Watson on the team. He took the money and checked out on the Browns. There’s a piece of me that hopes the Browns get some money back were he didn’t have a boot on when he reinjured the Achilles. But the Browns were dumb enough to not see this guy was a scumbag that didn’t give a shit about anything but money. So it’s half there fault
Baker was not yet humbled when he was up for his second contract. Three teams later he was ready to take a team friendly deal. The Browns would had had to pay him big dollars. Which would have been a better decision hindsight being 20/20.

Baker is still a 10x better qb that Watson and would not have cooked the franchise
