Awesome video. Tough first trail for the day, especially with no shuttles. The climb back up is tough and steep. Misty Twist is definitely a fave for me too.
yeah mate was pretty nervous, its the first black trail I've ridden outside of qld and i was told qld stuff is very tame in comparison, but it was unreal! also we got lucky and a bloke stopped and gave us a lift to the top from about halfway :D Thank you mate!
I was down at Thredbo early March and it really opened my eyes to high country mtbing. So much so that I’m going to give Mt Buller and Falls Creek a go next March/April. Admittedly I’m an ebike now but I still love those flow trails and techs bits. Enjoyed your vid. Now a subscriber.
Thanks so much mate! I Deffs going to be doing a lot more trips to these places, Thredbo is high on the list too! Nothing wrong with ebikes. Just means you get way more runs in before the legs tire out 😅
Those hills are just getting a tad too long and large for my late 50s legs. Just love having a backup heart and lungs when I ride now. Anyway must be off, I’m sitting down watching a heap of your vids.
Hey Johnny, just found your channel 🤙🏼…. I drove down from Sydney to race the same weekend. Came 3rd in the 50+ on both days. My favorite trail was ABOM on the Saturday. All the trails were 👍. Great vid man and that steep section on International looked really cool.
First off nice opening to the video, love the set up with the black and white, and aidens call. Second well done on staying upright on International, pretty sure during the winter months, skiers would be hitting those road gaps.
You’d be right mate! The B lines are fine to ride slowly The epic would be a awesome thing to do! Would certainly be a hard effort for me haha I wouldn’t be fit enough
Guess it depends on what or where you ride man A 170mm enduro bike will do everything a dh bike can do, but you can also easily climb trails In my opinion A dh bike is only fun for shuttle days or racing, not much else use really
Dude this video was actually SICK! From the the intro all the way through rad job man.
Yo thanks so much man! 🤘

@@JohnnyThe_G were you in elite category? I’d appreciate if you had a look at my channel if you get a chance 👍
Buller my local mate up there most weekends. Yew🤙🤙🤙
Man so lucky! That place is awesome

Hell yeh man thank you so much 😆
Hah Oth dude that would be wild
@@JohnnyThe_G I have not doubt that Craig (@flowmentum) would hit both those road jumps, whether would remain upright after, couldn’t tell ya..😂😂
@@kevinmartin225 hahaha he'd stomp them! the mans a beast
@@JohnnyThe_G he is a beast and so knowledgeable, looking forward to catching up with him sometime for an over 50’s ride 😂😂😂😂
@@kevinmartin225 haha damn 😆😅
The DH track looked above my pay grade. The others look OK. But I'm hoping to do Epic this year (2023).

I'm hoping to do the Epic trail at Buller this summer. I want to do Lake Mountain first to help me to prepare for Epic.
Will be a huge elevation climb! Best of luck mate

This looks wild to ride on. Has this been built to overcome drainage issues then?
You’d think so, considering it’s covered completely in snow for 6 months of the year,
From what I was told the trails are never damaged by the snow
Hey man I’ve been weighing up getting a dh bike or an enduro bike, what do you reckon? (I’ve got a e-trail bike
Guess it depends on what or where you ride man

Nice dude. Riding places like this will make local trails depressing tho
Accurate man, sadly
I haven’t trails since I’ve been home either.
mt buller is my local track i live like 20 min away
So lucky mate!
