    The brush hairs are brass which is softer than steel so they will not scratch the bar.

    Agreed! There’s why we always have one on our platforms when we have our meets. 🙌🏻
    Best competition bar. Ever.

      I will also add another opinion for people considering it’s purchase.. keep in mind that it IS a bare steel barbell, specifically designed for competition, which means it needs cleaned after every single use.
      Not a good gym barbell and not a good garage gym barbell, UNLESS you don’t mind cleaning it every time you use it. Also..the knurling will wear your hands out if you use it too much. :)
      Definitely the best competition bar on the 🌎 imo.

      @@southernohiopowerlifting7112 definitely! Cleaning it every time can be a pain but I don’t mind it much. Kinda like a cool down for the bar lol. It definitely requires more care but man does she feel nice

    My gym has an Eleiko weightlifting bar. I know what you are saying about the grip.

    Have you heard of the achievement apex power bar? They have a really cool and different type of knurling that feels so good and are really stiff too

      No I haven’t but I’ll look into it. What’s the price range on them?

  • @neilvandeloo429

    I could understand the price better if it was full stainless steel. Same feel, better corrosion resistance. $1100 is a lot to ask for a bare steel bar. That said, I own 2 eleiko weightlifting bars (training, performance) and a rogue pyrros bar in full stainless for around the same price so I certainly don't doubt eleiko quality 😅

      @@yty-p9k i have the eleiko weightlifting training bar. I like the pyrros much more. Both bars have top of the line construction, lovely controlled spin, and exceptional whip. However, The knurl on the pyrros bar is much better. The chrome plating on the eleiko fills in the knurl noticeably, and while it is a fantastic knurl, the bare stainless steel on the pyrros provides much better grip. I never have to use chalk with the pyrros, even on max attempts, and while your hands may need to toughen up a bit to train with it regularly, I've never lifted on a better bar in or out of competition. I'd choose the pyrros bar every time.

    What do you think of the Texas power bar. I am thinking of getting one . Also do you prefer a buckle or lever belt for heavy deadlifting?

    • @jonathangarcia633
      @jonathangarcia633  ปีที่แล้ว

      I loved my Texas power bar before I bent it… BUT I will say it’s like a cheese grater. It tears up the hands worse than any other bar I’ve ever used. That being said as a daily driver I’d opt for the Ohio power bar if you’re only gonna have one bar for everything. As far as the belt. Lever all the way.

      I’m a beginner cyclist who lifts mainly to supplement my cycling and for general health. Bought an Ohio power bar stainless steel, and no regrets since it not only feels more than necessary for me needs, but will also likely last me decades.

    Clean it and oil it after every use, it’s bare steel. It’s also a labor of love taking care of it.

    Any rust so far? Debating hard between this one and the performance powerlifting due to chrome on performance. I really would rather have this one tbh. their weightlifting iwf is a work of art and the nicest bar I’ve ever seen or used.

      The Performamce bar is stainless steel, so even better than chrome both for anti rust and grip.

    how does it compare to the titan midway power bar ?

    • @jonathangarcia633
      @jonathangarcia633  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Huge difference. Midway is a great starter bar and very well priced but if you’re serious about competing you really need a better bar.
