    You sold me. Lol. I'm a year late into this video, but I also am starting to look up about getting better lighting.
    I currently own the Logitech Litra Glow and thinking to look into the Elgato Key Light system they have and was looking to compare the both Key Light & Key Light Air.
    These are different times, but their prices for each products is significantly lower than time of this video. $116 and $181 respectively on Amazon.
    Now I'm looking forward to purchasing 2 Key Light Air. Only con I see is the no desk clamp on which the base would take up space on my desk of 38"

    I've seen many reviews of these lights but this by far is the best. The gentleman breaks it all down in sequence perfectly. Made my mind up regarding my purchase and my advice to the gentleman....go to Law School. Your presentation is spot on.

    Was looking for a good review of lights because I just started using a green screen. It was working fine with outside lighting plus room lighting, but as the sun went down it started to mess up since the only light in the room was from a ceiling fan. I'm going to to buy two key light airs and put behind each of my side monitors. Great review!

    This may be the best comparison on these lights! Way to include the details about using two lights. Do you think the base and upright stem on the Air could support a Manfrotto Super Clamp and friction arm with my camera, about 7 pounds altogether? Keep up the great work!!

    • @BadIntentStreamTechReviews
      @BadIntentStreamTechReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! I'm not quite sure on that. I've seen TH-camrs like Epos Vox connect their Air and camera together but I haven't tested putting anything on the base besides the light. He has all the Elgato lights and talks a lot about different mounting options so if you ask him I'm sure he can give you a definitive answer.

    I am thinking about buying 3 Elgato Key Light Airs (for left, center, right,) instead 2 Elgato Key Lights. Why? Because, although I would have only 4200 lumens (instead of 5600 lumens), for the same amount, I would have the chance to regulate the light in even 3 (three) different ways. Each guy its own.

      I have a question. When I stream games with chromakey my background image isn’t perfect. But when I stream internet browser, my image background with chroma key is perfect. Any idea why?

    • @BadIntentStreamTechReviews
      @BadIntentStreamTechReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. And yes, I have a hunch because something similar happened to me. When I stream desktop capture from Chrome for instance there's often lot of blue light coming from the computer monitor. That itself might change the lighting and in my case, OBS actually ended up keying out my face partially because of the blue reflecting on it. What I did is slightly tweak the "Similarity" and "Key Color Spill Reduction" settings in OBS until it was just right.
      When I switch to games, occasionally I have to move the sliders back. One other thing is when gaming in bright green, grassy area (like wild grass in Pokémon). The green light reflecting on my face sometimes causes issues so I have to tweak the settings. Hopefully this helps or at least gives some ideas as to what might be happening!

    • @BadIntentStreamTechReviews
      @BadIntentStreamTechReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In my experience just two Key Light Airs has been enough. But one benefit to using one Key Light and one Key Light Air is the Key Light has a bigger panel so it can brighten more of the room if you need that.
      But in general just two Key Light Airs should be good.

    Do you think 1x Key Light AIR + 1 reflector disc will be sufficient?

    • @BadIntentStreamTechReviews
      @BadIntentStreamTechReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't have a reflector disc to say for sure, but did some tests bouncing some light off a white wall for someone else. I think the Key Light is the only Elgato light bright enough and with a wide enough panel to really work in that scenario. So short answer is probably not, but I'll link you this short video anyway in case it helps. th-cam.com/video/EmtGY8wheJk/w-d-xo.html

    Matching the current daylight color isn’t a good idea. No matter how perfect you match the color to daylight, over time it won’t match up anymore. I highly recommend to block out the daylight as much as possible.

    • @BadIntentStreamTechReviews
      @BadIntentStreamTechReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, if you're doing professional work in a studio where you have a ton of light (way more than these provide), then eliminating all daylight is ideal.
      But for home use with just these lights, matching to daylight is still a great option versus not being able to at all. As the temperature adjusts, you can change the lights with it.
