I don't know where I would be without your videos, you have made it possible for me to learn so much in a short period of time. Thank you! I have an M-Audio Oxygen 61 that I have mapped in Samplitude everything but the 8 drum pads. I cannot figure out how to map those. Do you have a video about this process?
Hi ! There is a part I can't help which is within the Oxygen 61 settings. I assume those pads can be assigned to a specific midi channel, this is the first step you should check. Then you'll need to tell Samp to use this info as input on a track. then the output goes to what ever you need (VSTi)
Very useful videos please make more videos like this, on make songs with vsts that comes with samplitude pro x, like a series making instrumental songs using only samplitude vsts and finally mixing and mastering. thank you.
Hi sir, thanks for making these videos. Please tell me how we can send each element of the drums to a separate track, like bass drum will be on track 1, snare on track 2, hats on 3 and so on... Is there a way we can treat every element as a separate track?
I have been using Samp for 20 years but I have done all recording live and never really had the need or desire to integrate midi. I know there are benefits but every time I try to educate myself and expand my midi horizons to practical application I just seem to get lost in translation and get frustrated, and so far have not made any breakthru with midi. There is some new stuff I want to do and I want integrate a midi foundation starting with drum tracks. I have watched this over and over and still getting nowhere. So Marco... at :50 to 1:45 you lay a foundation to begin but there's a lot you fail to elaborate or explain here. First...you don't explain why you're setting up the sub-mix bus/aux's and I know when you tell me... I will likely know what OBS stands for but how does that apply to what you're explaining here? I opened up a new test VIP to experiment but I did not do the sub-mix-aux-bus configuration because you didn't explain why you did it, and it's a bit convoluted. I was able to bring up a vita drum program and it plays with my mouse, but I can't get my keyboard to play the midi signal in the DAW. I'm running my Yamaha keyboard thru my Tascam Model 12 into Samp. Any idea what I'm missing? I know it's just a matter of configuration, I just haven't stumbled on any applicable videos that are helping. Signed...a very frustrated old guy.
Hey thanks for the comment. at :50 to 1:45, I don't elaborate because it is not needed to anyone but me who screen captures with this third party software named OBS, while showing the fonctions. To get an external controler (keyboard in your case) to send midi to the virtual instrument (Vita) you need to decide on which track/channel you want to record or play midi. Select the track, click on midi then go in the midi settings and select the midi interface that carries your keyboard data. If you don't see it, hit Y and go in the midi settings, you should see all the inputs, make sure they are selected and you can rename them at will. Hope it helps.. I'm doing a PRO X6 guide series, I will probably get to midi in a few weeks.. stay tuned !! ;)
@@MarcoPrimeau Thanks for the input. I am devoting the next few days to getting this figured out...one way or another. Like I said, I know it's just a matter of configuration. I need to get my Model 12 properly speaking to Samp, and once that happens I think that will be the key. It's just all this clocking & such that loses me every time. I'm gonna figure this out if it kills me!
Update...Just FYI...This evening I had a breakthru of sorts and was able to record a midi percussion track to test the waters and so far I'm making progress...so yay! So far!

Very educative .... I love you
Really helpful to get started on this. Thanks!! 🙏🏻
Me encanta la forma de explicar. La mayoría de videos presuponen que la gente ya tiene un nivel o muy alto o muy bajo. Muchas Gracias. Thank you!
Thank you for this tutorial. Is it possible to insert a compressor ( in house samplitude compressor) on the bass drum and snare to duck the high hats?
thx dude..im transitioning from ableton..i hope madix will be easier and less hassle

Not every VSTi does it, but when you load the VSTi it should ask if you want multiple tracks or rendering on one
@@MarcoPrimeau Can we do it on Vita Rock Drums?
@@ShivrajKarkera91 I don't know I would have to try.. I use addictve drums most of the time. (when I'm not actually drumming myself ;)
Good stuff. I think you can control vsti with the QWERTY keyboard too
Probably you could but all your notes would have the same velocity.. an aspect that I didn't discuss.. ;)

How you had the waves pluggins, I change my pc desktop and no longer have it in my samplitude prox 7 suite
