    If you feel like you’re being followed it’s probably best to go to a cafe or a shop rather than show the stalker where you live by running home

      @Harry-fk5of ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Yeah, I was followed by a man at 2.30am when I got off the bus. I was walking home and he was behind me all the way, looking at me. So I walked past my house, even though I just wanted to get inside, and ran down the street and around the block until I reached the top of my street again and watched. He was on the other end of the street corner looking either side. He was there for about 5 minutes and then walked to the left, once he'd turned the corner I watchfully walked to my house, and made sure I couldn't see him before darting inside. It was pretty scary.

    Dinah McNicol unfortunately met with Peter Tobin, the Scottish serial killer. She was found along with Vicky Hamilton, who was just 15 when she went missing from Bathgate in 1991, underneath a garden of a house in Kent that Tobin had once lived.😨.
    Dinah and Vicky had both been preserved in a way that helped the investigation team see what the poor girls had been through prior to death, at the evil hands of Tobin, the evidence was preserved for forensic purposes, clearly Tobin hadn’t known this would be the result of his ‘hiding bodies for over 20 years’, he hadn’t meant to leave any evidence, never mind this much, he was bang to rights, he had other crimes too like Angelica Klux, who was found battered, and bound under a church in Glasgows, floorboards

    • @IvorGrumble
      @IvorGrumble 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Me too. I've been reading and watching true crime for over 40 years and no case has ever upset me like the Bulger one. I remember reading the newspapers when he went missing thinking it was some kind of pedo ring. What angered me more was the amount of people who saw him, being punched and kicked and bleeding from his face and head and did absolutely fuck all to intervene. Absolute cunts all of them.

      It could possibly be a legal issue.- this "right to be forgotten" business.
      www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/04/13/criminals-can-claim-right-forgotten-following-landmark-google/
      It doesn't apply to serious crimes, but "Crimewatch" has occasionally featured offences for which criminals have been sentenced to, say, six years (or less) in custody.
      Just a theory, though.

      Declining viewing figures-the final revamp was awful & a lame attempt to attract a younger audience, it kind of did this on one episode where the entire live broadcast was hijacked by the local chavs shouting, waving & generally being a nuisance. I think the biggest mistake was getting rid of Nick Ross-people like familiarity & he & Kirsty Young would have made a good team. The tone of the show got a bit too matey with Rav Wilding & various others.

    • @TheOne-fe8wk
      @TheOne-fe8wk 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @lukewilly 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nick Ross dressed like he’d got home from the office, rav wilding turning the cctv section into a you’ve been framed comedy montage never really worked. Just never seemed like a serious show in more recent years.
      I suppose crime gets solved very quickly now so it’s a bit of a pointless show

      It's been back on TV for years now, in the mornings. But it's different because crime is very different now. So many of the cases on Crimewatch in the 80s and 90s don't really happen today, and if they did they'd be solved pretty quickly. Crimewatch now looks at things like online fraud and old unsolved cases.

    Poor Yianoulla Yiani and her family, what a terrible thing to happen. She was only a teenager and murdered in her own home. I learned the hard way never to answer the door unless expecting someone, but probably that psycho would have broken in somehow. Absolutely depraved, I just don’t understand how they can do things like that.

      As Nick Ross had said in recent years & Professor David Wilson as well criminals thrive on opportunity & the parents of James Bulger & Sarah Payne along with many others gave the opportunity to the abductors-a matter of seconds is all it takes to pick a child up & bundle them into a vehicle or lead them off somewhere.
