Super happy to see you play this! While MOTHER 3 doensn't have the same "weird dream" aesthetic and is more story-focused, it's still a great game. Certainly the most important game in the world to me, too. The soundtrack was done by Shogo Sakai this time (he mostly does Kirby ad Smash Bros. music), so not much experimental techno stuff here. Hope you enjoy the journey and won't have any technical difficulties in the future!
Story-focused is a good thing, especially if that means character-focused. So I think that'll be a good thing, even if it's less weird and bizarre than Earthbound. Experimental techno is less my thing, so I'm actually really pleased by the switch to electric guitars everywhere. (I have an unreasonable love for guitars. It doesn't matter that I have been in bands with them for years now. I still love them too much.) And Kirby always has a great soundtrack. There will probably be more technical difficulties, but we'll work around them! I'm very stubborn, and the audience seems patient, so that's a winning (I hope) combination.
+Lauren the Flute If you want to hear more of Sakai's stuff I would highly suggest Kirby and the Rainbow Curse OST if you haven't heard that one. It's just the most whimsical and cutest Nitnendo soundtrack! Second part of the stream seemed almost perfect, so I hope we won't see any problems.

We got off to a slow start with some streaming problems, but I'm really looking forward to seeing what the game has in store for me! So far it's been very charming and strange, which is what I expect from a MOTHER game. :) I hope you will enjoy my playthrough!
I stream blind plays (MOTHER 3 right now) every Tuesday at 7 pm CST. I also do music concerts almost every Saturday (except this one because I'm out of town) at around 11 am CST. :)
so im watching through these because Im also playing through Mother 3 and am on Ch. 8 so id like to watch some others go through it too, you know how it is :p but damn there are a lot of just small annoying things about these so far. like I actually really like your pacing its nice that someone takes there time with things but sometimes you linger waaay too long on parts like jeez 8 minutes with the drago's alone is a long time for something that can be finished in like 20 seconds if you are rushing, but thats the minor minor things that im being a wuss about. the big issues are the constant constant cutting out like dang gurl and also the coughing like i get it you are sick but i think its a well known to move your mic a little further from your mouth if you are gonna cough constantly, which ill give it to her she fixes it towards the end and thats also a minor issue, anyway im just ranting because i cant sleep :p i do like this series so far and cant wait to see how she reacts but god i sat there just getting annoyed at the constant cutting. the reason thats an issue is because she doesnt read things out ever and flies through dialogue boxes, not saying thats a bad thing but when you start a convo with an npc and it lags for 2 seconds and you are already walking away like chill you are legit speedreading slow dooown

I realize it's not for everybody, but the beauty of the internet is that there's bound to be someone who plays games the way you like best, even if that person isn't me. Also fun fact: Flint and Hinawa are both named after types of guns. Flint references the Flintlock and Hinawa is the Japanese name for a matchlock
