Hey petco! In England, we typically and commonly refer to forests as “woods” in plural. So your sentence of “finding wood in the woods” is actually fairly accurate and no need to be corrected. Keep up the amaZing work. Love your videos, you are the reason why I started keeping tarantulas.

My. God. That Balfouri enclosure does NOT disappoint. Especially that shot at the end with them being in the light and you in the dark? Glorious~! ♥ Always enjoy seeing those Balfouri's ♡. It's sad that the boys will probably die off soon, but it's been such a pleasure watching them grow. Besides, we got a new little one to take their place when it happens. ♡

"No bolty bolty" 😂😂😂. This guy is awsome. The care for the spiders is amazing.
Little tip for a more solid build: use wooden L-shaped slats (letvice) on all corners. I use 18x18mm slats, paint them and they look really good. They are cheap but add significant durability to the enclosure. With such heavy enclosures as this one, the whole enclosure might fall apart undet its own weight.

That was so cool. I was so sure they wouldn't all be alive. Even after the last rehouse I didn't think they could live together without eating each other. I am amazed. They look so good! Love the new enclosure! The "Bastard" was hilarious!

Very beautiful set up and nice piece of wood ...good eye on the bark that separates and curls in a wavy pattern all the way around the stump.I love the colour of those tarantulas and I never new they are communal so I'm going to have to do a set up like your s soon.

Known in uk as felt pads or feet for furniture, used primarily to stop scratches on the furniture you place the object on

I've never heard this mentioned before: that if you get a communal drawn from the same egg sac they will not breed. I've never attempted a communal because I was afraid I'd end up with 10,000 baby spiders. I'll have to try it now. Thanks for the good info, as always. And great lighting at the end, btw.

We all know that the 9th Balfouri escaped and got on a boat to Socotra to run from the poking stick giant. There she bred a dynasty of warriors of the biggest colony on the Island. She became a prophet for her nation and in the future the invasion on Croatia will begin as revenge for her enslaved tarantula kin. Hundreds of thousands of cork-bark ships with webbed silky sails will land on the beaches like D-Day in Normandy after their long journey from the gulf of Aden, Red Sea, Suez the Mediterranean, Ionian and Adriatic Seas. After that they will climb past the Dinaric Alps. They will find you and bite your toes when you sleep.

15:14 it kind of looked like the balfouri that bolted out of the hole may have been trying to protect the other. It was such a cute jump scare lol.
I have never had an interest in owning any arachnids, however, I am currently pestering my wife to allow me to own Balfouri's. This is my favorite species you have in your den. I find it amazing they can live communally, and that web structure is incredible. Great rehouse sir, loved it.

Monocentropus balfouri is an interestingly colored tarantula. The young ones are uniformly colored and it is gray-brown, but the adults have much more interesting colors - the cephalothorax becomes blue after moulting, and turns gray over time. The abdomen is dark in color.
Love the videos!!! wish you could do more scorpion videos seems like they are few and far inbetween. But still enjoy watching!

Hahaha my son doesn’t understand why I watch videos of spiders 🕷 if they scare me... Well. I haven’t killed a spider in 6 years because of learning how important they are. I don’t freak out like I have done years ago. Yes they shake me up a bit, but I don’t scream OUT LOUD when I see one now... And run the opposite direction.
I now have the guts to calmly get them out of the house without asking for help! And, basically these videos have helped my arachnophobia so much...

My car sat for a while. Used the truck for more things. Took my car in to be serviced. Hilarious 3 Grown Big Men. Came running out of the bay and were screaming and flailing around. OMGoodness the whole underneath was black and brown window spiders. I joined in... we were all screaming. The own walls in. And asked what is going ON! He walks into the bay. And runs out screaming like a little girl, just like we were. Hahahaha. Oh! Memories!!! Hahahahaha! No pokey pokey.
