@Tiger Cub I don't need a report telking me this. It's common sense. That being said, we put so much effort into anti-bacterial face soap, dish soap, hair shampoo, Body lotion, house sprays, genital scrubs, etc, etc, etc and people 2019 are most into "eating @$$" it's laughable. Cave dewllers NEVER had anti-bacterial ANYTHING. They also couldn't shave. Stop buying the anti-bacterial crap as it only makes you more susceptible to bacteria as the normal bacteria buikd up immunities and GROW in your anti-bacterial soaps. Just grow your beards and fucking WASH them normally. No problem. Oh and to.avoid e-coli that you're so worried about when watching culinary channels because the guy didn't wear gloves and didn't scrub his meat in bleach but go on to watch PRON where A$$ eating is what turns you on.
I highly appreciate how you word things like these subjects. Not abuse but not recommended for yhe reasons stated. Excellent educational way of saying things 💚 without someone feeling attacked or miserable for treating their animal wrong. Wonderful person you are.
Just the other day a friend saved a redfoot from the middle of the street in Pensacola FL!!! They thought it was a box turtle, how crazy!!!! Definitely someone's pet that escaped but no one is claiming so far!!!
I clicked this faster then I can write with my broken arm. Your video's always cheer me up a bit! I've always wanted to be like you, having lots of cool pets, and having a Wonderful TH-cam Channel.
Here in Italy I've seen our tortoises (herman's, greek and marginated) mixed multiple times, it's not always the best thing because they are somewhat aggressive to each other even within their own species (not sure about marginated, but the other two def are), so in order to do that one would need a lot of room so that the animals can avoid each other, and a good sized group so that aggression gets dispersed and no animal gets picked on too often, sorta what you'd do if you wanted a group of just one of those species too. Otherwise they all have basically the same requirements since they live in the same habitat (although only hermanni is native, the other two were introduced in historical times as food).
Glad to see Lego doing well! I am lucky to have Kenan as a tutor about the hobby. I plan to raise tortoises in the future. Blessed to have found your channel Kenan. Bless! ❤️🇵🇭
I think if the humid and dry spots are on opposite sides of the enclosure, he could probably put a divider right in the middle of it, like a short wall or fence with the mesh material. The torts would still be able to see/sense each other, but it would prevent them from eating each other's food.
Great video. Would kill too see a video on the North american 3 Toed box turtle. i have a 33 year old little dude that my father owned from a hatchling.
I love how involved you are with your animals and also your fans on this channel. I enjoy a lot of your videos and have checked out and subscribed to some of your guests channels.
I have a sulcata tortoise that is 3 months old and im getting him a friend so if I get the same species of tortoise at the same breeder do I need to quarantiene the tortoise and if I do how?
Hi, Thank you for replying to my question! Its been a huge debate here, but from your video I understand its toleratable, but what I need to look for is what they eat and feed them separated, and yes my redfoots have their own feeding area so the hermanns do not get access to the food. I put a couple of pictures here how it looks like - hope anyone here, even kenan would comment on the overview (habitat looks smaller on picture, but approx 50 sqf) drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Wt3-k6ARNtaEusCKrYqD72-PjJ10FUR2?usp=sharing
If it's any consolation i think it's a beautiful enclosure. I'm currently working on mine as well. But i want it to be well established before i add my redfoots.
I think that the idea of keeping the species of tortoise separate is a good one purely because you’re eliminating possible future problems before they arise. If you keep them together you may never have a problem but you also may have one so it’s easier for you to just eliminate the possibility of a problem in the future.
So quick question. I would like to get some cherry heads. I was debating on e mailing you about them. I do live in Phoenix Arizona. Should i get captive bred from here considering yours are acclimatized to humid conditions compared to dry and hot of the sonoran desert?
I have 2 greek turtels and I feed them sallad and some other outdoor sallads and Gras every day should I have som more time between the feedings or not ?
9:25 Are there also behavioural concerns to keep different species of tortoise apart. Will some species bother other species or can conflicts arise from them not speaking the language of the other species.
Anna Banana yess you’re right I noticed that too, there’s way too many hateful trolls around these days better just let them be in their own little bubbles😋 Thank you for the compliment btw😇
Godzilla reruns loaded with popcorn, get the kids enjoying black and white moveies , more palms bro all around the rec pond, they got the. sweet fronds
Hey kenan my name is wilmer i wanted to know if you could tell me if eastern box turtles are allowed in nebraska and if not what do i have to do to be able to keep one
So what’s the requirements for keeping ur rock iguanas with ur tortoises? What would be reasonable cohabitation? What can you keep with sulcatas? Can u keep any other tortoises with them, rock iguanas? Etc
I am interested in buying my own pet tortoises one day? What species do you recommended if I live in Texas? Can I have different species of tortoise like cherryhead and red footed live together? Are there any other species that can live together?
IMO, sulcatas and leopards do great in that climate when outdoors but thats not really until they get older. cherry heads and redfoots can be housed together, cherryheads are a subspecies of redfoots
Bro! We need to see you do a bmx vid! I ride bmx and have since a kid. C'mon kenan! You dont have to do a flair or anything dangerous like that. Just ride a lil bit bro!
hey alexander kenan is right as always but i think as long as you seperate them for feedings youll be okayy as long as they are getting their proper diets youll be okay
I noticed that compared to the other enclosures, the greek tortoise enclosure is rather simple. I also have Greek tortoises and I know that they are very active, like to climb and hide so I think you could add some bushes and other things to enrich the enclosure or even use some of the spare space you have to build a new enclosure for them. Just a suggestion :)
The only way that I am aware of is simply to wait and see if she lays fertile eggs, if she does she might produce fertile eggs for the next years whitout having to breed again thanks to retaind sperm.
People need to STOP calling less than Perfect "ideal" micro climate habitats, "animal Abuse". This is nonsense. Their Natural outdoor indigineous habitats are not Perfect either. I'm so tired of cupcakes trying to destroy the hobby from within.
Kenan, that beard is definitely changing your whole look from BMXer to grizzled tortoise wrangler. Lookin good!
"Grizzled Tortoise Wrangler"

Love this channel
What tortoise/box turtle species can live together?
I think if the humid and dry spots are on opposite sides of the enclosure, he could probably put a divider right in the middle of it, like a short wall or fence with the mesh material. The torts would still be able to see/sense each other, but it would prevent them from eating each other's food.

Hey Ken I am from Lithuania I have a question way doesn't me 3 ear old russian tortoise eat carrots and ader hard vegetables and I don't know way
Maybe try shredding them up next time you introduce them? If that works, slowly move up to larger pieces to help keep the beak at a good length.
Hi kenan George nail here how do I take care of my hinge back tortoise
Kenan what’s up with the beard
Yes and it's a heart throb I lost 2of my sulcatas by putting them together with my Russian tortoises

Can you crossbreed tortoises?
There are hybrids that exist, but I'm not sure how they are health wise. Sulcata/redfoot hybrid for example
Hiii Big Brother I'm Biggest fan of you bro
Oh shut up Kumar..
Oh that comment came from Kenan.
We as a country should exchange NASA with an equally funded animal conservation project. Just my opinion..

Dear lord the pond algae is taking over. Iodine injector from Aquascape, invest in one
How do you know if a Greek tortoise is pregnant
