    Rhode Island is my favourite place in the USA! It is where we bought our sailboat to sail back to Rhode Island and the community there, the food, the scenery and everything just warms your heart!

    Lived there over 20 years. Lived 1/2 from where video ended at gas/car wash place I used all the time. Been gone 26 years but still knew where I was. Lots of new stuff too. City looks awesome. Sad, place I lived is now an empty lot growing weeds.

    i used to drive all these side streets baked out of my mind in the early 90's. No main streets unless absolutely necessary. That hill @ 6.00 ain't no joke on icy days. Camera doesn't do it justice. I miss that dump. I want NY system now.

    This is a very nice video; not like most with loud music and conversation in it. Conversation is fine as long as it's about the video being shown.

    How cold is it in Rhode Island yearly? Is it more warm in by URI in Kingston? How much colder is it as a state compared to Delaware?

    COOL VIDEO THO! GOOD IDEA TO DO THIS SO PEOPLE CAN C WHAT CERTAIN CITIES LOOK LIKE!

  • @martinkent333
    @martinkent333 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Many of the parents in Providence ignore traffic laws with their children. Many of these parents are civil servants. Youth in Rhode Island deserve law-abiding, ethical and conscientious civil servants. Their future depends upon it. What do you think? Should traffic fines in capital cities be doubled? Imagine law-abiding streets and adults in Providence! Imagine!!!
    Kids, if your parents ignore traffic laws, pray out loud before every family meal, "Lord, help my parents obey traffic laws, I love them."

    • @ugaais
      @ugaais 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      RI civil servants and law abiding are not synonymous, the state is a crap hole and getting worse….born raised and lived there 33 years moved out 17 years ago been back a few times outside of Newport and south county, it really has gone downhill..

      EDgarzote, as i commented in another's post:
      ....they all left for $40 hr. telecom jobs in mexico city. now i see a fat, toothless, sweaty, white guy, named billy bob joe, doing the neighbor's lawn.
      lots of them left the farms here in tampa/hillsborough to go back to m.c. - better pay and working conditions.

    • @tntmusiclessons340
      @tntmusiclessons340 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      goth 1856 That's what I was thinking but is University Heights the first set of apartments around 1:15 or the darker looking ones around 1:30? I'm just wondering because I lived there when I was a kid 40 years ago. Thanks for posting this vid.

    • @goth-sb8hi
      @goth-sb8hi 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      TNT Music Lessons , i grew up in jamestown and spent my adult life in prov-pawt until i was 40. been in tampa for nearly 20 years now and haven't had a chance to go back since. i miss it - but not the snow.
      u.h. is both times. prolly built at a diff time or to avoid too much sameness. it wasn't the greatest when i was there. the shopping plaza in front of it on n. main was kind of run down. looks all cleaned up now with even a whole foods and boston market there from what i see on google street view.

    • @tntmusiclessons340
      @tntmusiclessons340 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      goth 1856 Yea I checked the satellite today too and thought the same thing. I lived there about 1975-78, it wasn't too good an area then. Doyle Ave was an area to avoid, we were all afraid of going over there. I remember you could walk from U.H to that old supermarket by going across the roof of the buildings, or at least it seemed like it. I couldn't tell if that's changed now on the airial. Crazy to see the same Mcdonalds is still there from 40 years ago, I had my first strawberry sundae there as a 6 yr old and whenever I get one these days I still think of that day. Unfortunately I haven't been able to visit since the early 80's so your video was really cool to find.

    • @goth-sb8hi
      @goth-sb8hi 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      TNT Music Lessons , not my vid. darktac0s posted it.
      providence was a ratty place to be in the late 70's to the late 80's. i first moved to pvd in '78 at 429 pine st. skid row! now that whole street is full of hipsters. later on i moved to the pvd-pawt line - oak hill - a big step up. that whole u.h. area was to be avoided the whole time i lived there until i left in '96.
