How to install Custom Wii Menu Themes in 2022 (My Menuify Mod Tutorial)

- Today I’m showing you how to install custom Wii menu themes to your Wii! It's a pretty straightforward tutorial, however, make sure you only download themes from the links on the official guide to avoid bricking your Wii. Hope you enjoyed your new custom themes!

October 14 2023, can confirm this still works, only thing is mymenuify looks a little different and if you want the old theme back press the plus button on wiimote before installing the theme.
May 30th, 2023 ---- Worked perfectly, thanks. The only difference is that there is a new version of MyMenuifyMod now that is slightly different that whats shown here in your video. The differences aren't massive and its still easy enough to follow along successfully.

October 10 - 23 - Worked perfectly no issues at all just needed to wait a bit for bootmii to backup nand but thats about it, installed the theme it works perfectly thanks for the tutorial!

Hey so if a theme doesnt have the region in the download or title like the dark mode theme from RIIConnect24 is it still safe to use as I dont think it has a region.

Hey Scott, do you have a tutorial on how to get the game channels on the home menu? I see you have MK Wii DKC Returns, Wii Party etc. Having those channels would allow you to just boot the game from the home screen right?

For some reason the MyMenuify Mod is having trouble mounting my USB. It always says there is an error but the USB is correctly inserted into the system

I was just wondering, are the themes on the RiiConnect24 themes page region free? Or do I need a specific region/Version of System Menu?
I think they are also .mym files that have to be transferred to .csm like the other ones

hey if I brick my Wii what do I do with priiloader and BootMii after bricking it
just backed up my wii and got priiloader im getting a theme now
in the Google drive some of them are not labeled as ntsc, Japan or pal, are they safety download anyway?

The only way I’ve seen people get bricks with this is when they install a wrong region theme. Is that the only way this can brick the Wii?
that makes sense! and I think that's the only way to brick it as long as you're using the actual links from the official guide to get the themes

@@funkyscott47idk but i just ask this question on certains thèmes on the gbatemp downloads some themes do not have a region so can i install them on my PAL Wii?

All you need to do is download aroma then put it in tiramisu environments. Disable autoboot and hold x when launching health and safety app. Then press aroma

What if I have an Sd card but not a computer
Hello, my Wii keeps freezing up shortly after opening menuify. When i get to the storage select screen, my controller disconnects and I cant do anything until i cut the wii's power straight from the back. Any idea to what is causing this? i haven;t found any answers on the internet
Turns out for some reason 249 just wasnt working, so i used 250 and it didnt freeze. very weird, Hope I didnt mess something up by doig this lol
ah i see, It shouldn't cause any issues using 250 :)
Idk why but when I click Create CSM, it doesn't show apps. just CSM files and I can't change it in the dropdown

I have a theme problem,
When I click A to install a theme on Mymenuifymod i see
'install cannot continue, the install theme version0 is not a match for the system menu version43'
this is strange because i converted the mym into a csm with thememii and added it to the modthemes folder which is on the root of my usb and have cios, priiloader, and bootmii all installed.
Are you installing it from a USB device?

i had that too but i know how to fix it on the website you need to download the correct file like if ur wii is from europe you need to downlad the pal file

ok so i got up to the part where ur installing the theme with mymenuifymod, and when i choose my usb drive, it crashes to the wii menu, try again, crash, can you help?
i tried copying the modthemes folder to my sd card and after i choose my cios, it crashes

for some reason when i select usb, it just takes me back to the home menu.
i think it is too glitchy for using a USB to do it, might have to get an sd card

are you using a USB drive? other people have been having issues with installing themes from a USB drive and I'm beginning to think you can only do it from SD card

How do I know what type of wii I have
if you go into your wii settings, you should see in the top right 2 numbers and a letter (mine is 4.3U) the number is the version and the letter is the region
