    Farms. Seems fitting

It's not unlike Chinese gold farms for WoW. China has a penchant for farms, it seems.

This genuinely scares me and I don't know exactly why.

Actually vile, the whole appeal of online personalities is the authenticity, and they’re using that to manipulate people into being consumers

The western version might not be as industrialized, but the actual authenticity is often also questionable in the west. A lot of the people who seek livestreaming are too young to have an actual non-egotistical ambition with their sought fame and even with TH-camrs like Veratasium or Kraut they sometimes have questionable sponsorship deals.

@@nicolaim4275 Fair enough. But it’s almost like at least they’re genuinely scummy lol instead of having this guiding hand manipulating them. Reminds me of the anime Vtuber streamer.

As dystopian as this is at least none of these people are getting black lung. That's the only positive I can think of.

The world is at a crossroads now. We, the people, have two options. The first is to allow big corporations and their government puppets to gain more power, devalue human lives, and take away our human rights until we effectively return back to serfdom and even slavery. Or we can put a stop to this by making others aware, uniting and organizing ourselves, participating in politics even if locally. The next centuries is a great struggle between the ordinary people and the megacorporations who have gained power surpassing national governments. This video is just a glimpse of what is to come.

It's a reliable way to market a product than relying on the marketing to be done by a couple of top influencers, basically quantity over quality marketing I guarantee you these influencer farms are being used to shill make up and other products which are most likely a scam nonetheless these influencer farms are no different from marketinf agencies in fact they are under the same umbrella, they shill products in return said influencer is guaranteed to receive money for marketing and they get views so they can "move up" in terms of the online space as an influencer when in reality as soon as they get a taste of it they'll start doing freelance marketing for more products because they control the offers and such since they become a part of that quality percentage that shills products, it's not really that dystopian it's pretty much already done by Hollywood and media before the conception of the internet, the use of celebrities/influencers or up and coming celebrities/influencers to market products so they can market more products, it's not dystopian it's capitalism

Kpop maybe to a certain degree, but Hollywood? It's like comparing pheasant hunting with a chicken farm. The end product is something that looks like chicken on the plate, but tastes different and the process is completely different too. False equation - Chinese propaganda loves those.
