- In this video we actually complete the Tinkerer journey step that I messed up in the last episode. Then we start the process to become an all powerful sorcerer, by acquiring the knowledge of basic sorcery and levelling up our spell book with the first few spells.

In this guide, you mentioned that you don't really know what use the Abyssal mounts are. I've found a very good use for them, but they don't become useful until later when you learn the "Summon Corpse" spell. I'll use the Abyssal horse to get to far away places like riding to the jungle from my base at The Mounds of the Dead, or on big farming runs where I'll load up with supplies (like gathering black ice, raw ash, black blood, or gold) or reaching far away dungeons. And instead of taking tons of time riding all the way back, I simply remove my bracelet and die. When I wake up in my bed, I cast the "Summon Corpse" spell and recall my body with all the supplies. The mount was expendable anyway.
Love the series you're making, and I'm slowly catching up. Hopefully this tip above helps somebody.
I just noticed recently that the tier 4 tanner Inigo the vengeful is a nice reference to Princess Bride.

9:14 Repair kits used to be a go-to tool for me. I would always carry around a spare or two. Now they are useless and to be avoided.

It is silly that YT dont allow pixels of "Blood Donation" to be shown, its not as if it is real, crazy.
You should try being a 50% corrupted Sorcerer, its not as bad as you think and being able to use those spells only when you are corrupted is great fun.
Slow fall is great for the dragons den and in the volcano map.
A word of caution about the prying kit. It will remove the mod but also reduce it back to a level as if no thrall was used when making it. This means if you made a weapon with a T4 thrall those changes will be lost as well. May want to double check but that's what happened to me. Just an FYI.

Yes! I kind of lost interest with my invisible shale back and first time I defeated the boss in the dregs and didn't know about the book that also was invisible. Really enjoy this series of videos
Don’t overlook Hanuman’s Grotto as a source for both glowing goop and crystals, especially for beginners who may still be lurking around noob river. You can also harvest demon blood from the imps inside.

Great episode, that is a great way of dealing with the sacrificial table in videos a nice compromise between risking TH-cam punishment and just completely cutting it out.
10:03 Just a note about reparing weapons and armor. As long you are able to craft the armor/weapon and have the required repair items on you, you do not need to use a bench to repair; simply select the repair action when the item is selected. If you are wearing the armor it will remove it to repair, but weapons in the hotbar will be repaired there. Note: You will be unable to use the weapon while it is being repaired.
Correct, just find it easier to drop the one item in the bench than pull multiple items out to repeir
@@AngaarUK I hear you. I play with a controler on PC, so placing them in the bench is kinda cumbersome.

Slow fall has very few uses in PvE, it makes shortcutting in the well of skelos easy and as I saw someone else mention, easy way to drop into the sinkhole. It really shines in PvP to jump off of high points onto an enemy base to conduct a raid, or cast prior to using the bat to go raid a base as well.
the empty sepermeru is quite normal in SP gameplay especially when you just load in the game.. the easiest way to solve this issue is to just go into the wine cellar dungeon and exit it right away, then everyone will reappear... and yes.. cannibal champion is the new 2 skulls boss
or in Angaars case go into the wine celler, kill ya man in there and he drops 7 truncheons
Hell yeah bro, I caught up on your latest series just yesterday and this dropped, now I have time to watch it and then get in the game for a while. Thanks to you I had a pretty decent start, it helps it similar to ARK, but the similarities are far outweighed by the differences in my opinion. Conan is far more complex, and way more pretty world. I was thinking of looking into Savage Wilds mod once I get done with Exiled Lands, I also have my eye on Calamitous. Thanks for posting these.

Really enjoyed this one Angaar! It was great to see the various benefits that your "friends" give when they're assigned to work stations . . . .On another note. There still doesn't seem to be any Homesteader Journey step. Also, using the Hosav mod is very useful because you can monitor how much you can carry and make notes on adjustments if you alter your strength Attribute etc.

I think the slow falling spell can be usefull if You are going on high mountains for something and then You don't want to go all the way back, You can just cast the spell and jump down from the top of the mountain
Slow fall increases jump height, extended leap before hitting the ground is much better for avoiding fall damage.

Despite not having the ability to craft the chain bindings yet for some reason he can still repair 1 if you are lucky enough to get 1 to drop in Sepermaru
I've only recently come back to playing the game so this guide series has been useful to see the things that have changed. And since I had stopped playing around the time of the Riders of Hyboria dlc there is much I've missed including the whole Age of Sorcery additions. However I have to say I find the whole sorcery thing to be rather awkward and unintuitive, but I do look forward to future videos covering the rest of what can be done with it.
That being said I do find the summoned mounts kind of pointless. They would make more sense if you could summon them in the field rather than from the portal at a base camp.

We farmed four Brutes and Thugras. We farm creatures for XP not thralls.
I've seen one and three skull 💀 bosses. What other two skulls are there?

These tutorials are so helpful for a newbie trying the game for the first time. Just waiting for explaining religions if they are still relevant. The only real videos i could find before were revenge God Summon raids. Kinda wanted to see how that worked and what the expense was. They always said the grind for it was weeks in the making.
Yeah, summoning the top-tier avatars are more for PvP. There is a video in my original Beginner's Guide series that deals with religions.
@AngaarUK makes sense. Will look into it again. I think I started that video then looked for a more recent one but it seems all the conan tutorials on certain topics were finished years ago. Will have to see if there are more useful points to it outside of PvP

Good video. Thank you for the "Warning" of the sorcery ritual being graphic. That is the one thing I do not like the most in the sorcery bit. Some of the things you can do with sorcery is great, I am sure you will get to them in future videos but the "cost" of how many of those rituals you have to do is too great IMO. That is why in solo, I will admin spawn in the blood, I may even take the time to get the "blood donors" to the table but admin delete them and replace them with blood just to avoid the ritual. On Public servers, I will trade for blood. There is always a task that someone does not like that they would rather trade for. Gathering stone, or making a ton of hardened brick in trade for blood will be totally worth it for me. Maybe trading treasure for blood, not sure. Thanks for the very good video series.
Slow fall is great to fall into the Arena as you don't have walls to slide down on.

Uh, yes, my favorite door. Going in and out frequently is one of the most rewarding activities Ce has to offer. Got me my favorite thrall, a bearer named Dono'thelpmeup who leveled like a charm to nearly 12k HP and now eats giant spiders for breakfast.
I've found using the repair option while holding items in my inventory does create the red bar.
Interesting, I tend not to use my own inventory as it involves pulling the various mats required to repair, so I tend to just drop the item to be repaired into the bench and hot the repair button.
@@AngaarUK Understandable. As a QoL mod I also have near unlimited inventory capacity. I can't stand the grindy repitition. This might be why I play differently. Your series is great btw. As a new player I really like it.

Now I know what those skeleton keys do that are filling up my storage. If you took your dancer to the sorcerers cave, will she keep the corruption away?
She would, but she would need to be a higher level to survive. Easier to run through and get your dancer to clear the corruption back at base

Firstly, thanks for an amazing playlist. I am following your videos just behind my own progression and it is great.
So, for my question, I am playing a Mitra worshipping Hyborean character. So, to keep in the spirit of their beliefs I won't do human sacrifice. Is this going to be a hamper on the game for me? How far can I progress with sorcery without the sacrifices? I am looking to use sorcery predominately for buffs and aids...
So there are 15 upgrades to your spellbook. Only upgrade 10 and 11 requires Soul Essence and Sacrificial Blood as reagents. Sadly the lvl 10 upgrade (Elixir of Rebirth) and lvl 15 upgrade (Transportory Stone) are the most useful of all the spells.

I'm going to try again to double check, but I'm almost positive I only got the wisp spell when I touched the tome.
The first spells you get are just Ice Bridge and Reveal Corruption

It is a combo with a heavy attack (right-click) to do the lunge, then multiple light attacks (left-click) for the stabby, stabby

Me again! Re: the Hosav mod. Forgot to mention the each point added to Strength equals 3 points added to your total carrying capacity. So, if you're carrying 35/70 pounds of weight, adding one point of Strength would make it 35/73 (I'm assuming it's pounds of weight and that extra point/3 pounds can make a lot of difference when carrying Baby Shalebacks etc.)
In Hanumans Grotto (noob river crystal cave) there is a 3 skull named NPC boss. Can I knock him out and recruit him, or is it just kill him? I'm sure me and my follower can beat him either way. Have you a video were you take on the mini and world bosses?
That is Valis the Loyal and no he cannot be knocked out.
I take him on in both the Heart of the Hero and Heart of the Nordheimer videos in the Tricks & Tips series.
There are other videos in the Beginner's Guide series where I take on the various World Bosses and Unnamed City bosses. The big difference with Age of War that you get the skeleton keys from the world bosses, but the legendary chests have been moved into the dungeons, just like on Siptah!
I saw a streamer use the teleporter to 90% corruption. 😮
You are right, teleport corruption is based on distance. I was thinking about corrupted attributes that take you down to the 50% mark
can get to 1hp/stamina with the portals not recommended tho it takes forever to remove the corruption , for some reason my dancers only remove so much corruption before i seem to get a cooldown and have to wait for them to remove more.
I find the soul drain more disturbing then the other one. Reminds me of a famous mortal kombat fatality.

Do you have to kill the sorcerer by the bench to reset the potential spawn of a spell page or just wait for it? I usually go the the Sepermaru table by my base and just wondering if I even need to kill them?
I think it is more going out of render range and coming back will decided if they spawn. If you are specifically hunting pages then worth taking them down anyway as they may have pages on them.

Can you level up a Crafter in combat, and do they learn new skills as they level up like pets?
Sadly no, crafters cannot be placed down and follow you to be levelled, only assigned to workstations as they are
@@AngaarUK so a LV1 will never be able to upgrade to a LV2. But do they get stronger through fighting or anything? More S, A, V or G? Can they even fight or defend?
@@jdogx211 so crafters cannot level at all. Fighters/Archers/Performers/Bearers can be placed in the world and follow you (they only gain XP if they are following) will level up but will always remains as a tier I. So they can level up to lvl 20 but will always be tier I and never become tier II. With each tier (I, II, II or named) the base stats go up. I wouldn't bother with anything lower than a TIII myself.

If the Cannibal Champion almost 1 shotted you why don't you enslave them to have them as warriors? They seem to be extremely beefy. I can't be the only ones that notices their potential. They would make the best STR build body guards by far just give them heavy armor & maces.
You can't tame 2 skull bosses, they have no torpor bar ☹️

I looked it up and yes the Champion cannot be enslaved but the Cannibal Brute can be. Both are dumb strong pure STR builds. Cannibal Brute can solo some bosses with the right gear, at the right level.
@ElDrHouse2010 yep, they are really strong and I cover them later in the series. Although they did get a big nerf with their damage multiplier halved in Chapter 3 😧
Skulker's End seems almost empty, compared to the way it used to be. Looks like you could walk right in and learn Darfari Weapons without drawing aggro. Feels..disappointing.
They added a bunch of extra NPCs in Age of Sorcery, which made it very easy to get overwhelmed. They have now backed it off a bit to make it more manageable as a low level camp

Shame it doesn't work in dungeons. Would be great for getting down from boss room in Black Keep or down the cliffs in The Passage. Even worse the Slow Fall Orbs you got from BP rewards did work in there!
Yo idk if this has been suggested before but have you ever considered doing a 100 days hardcore challenge series? Think that would be super entertaining for Conan (maybe 150 days since night moves so quick?)
Maybe. I did do a Hardcore Nomadic challenge, while I didn't count the actual days I probably completed the whole game is less than 150 days. 😎
I believe the best way to repair is in your inventory, not a bench.
Console doesn't let you repair in the bench you have to have it on hand
Bench and inventory are the same, 0.01 loss of durability. That's what I heard anyway.
@@Skeezle1986I have played my friends game on her Xbox and was able to repair in the benches. Option was hidden in the drop down menu.

In case your innocence suffers from such proceedings you can always repair that with some minutes of quality time at your personal strip club.
