Flight Design CTLS - Local Flight, Wing Camera, Touch-n-Go

Flight testing a wing-mounted camera in the local area. This is my first video using a 3-camera set-up. Nice Missouri landscape and approach/touch-n-go video angles @ KFYG.

What is the purpose of flaps in the negative position?

The CTLS is designed with reflexed flaps. For basic operation and optimized low speed flight the airfoil camber is set higher than other aircraft. However, for high speed flight where less lift is needed, the reflexed flaps (-6 setting) reduces the camber, enabling a more efficient high speed cruise. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I fly this plane too😀 It’s very nice! But for the life of me I cannot activate the squelch, no matter how I turn, press and turn the knob on the comm module…

How you you have your iPad mounted to the mushroom? I have the same panel layout, and am currently using a suction cup mount to the left door.

I use a clamp mount on the protruding aft edge of the glare shield. If you watch my video called "Flight Design CTLS - Southern Illinois for Lunch"- at the 00:47 second mark, you can see the clamp behind the ipad.

The wing mounted camera and the one facing us are GoPro Hero5 Session cameras. The camera facing the instrument panel is a GoPro Hero 8.
