Can you elaborate on goldening the Deep blue before the Zesty? Mathematically it should be better to first golden the Zesty and then the deep blue. Except on the turn that you are goldening, You get the same stats [Golden Zesty gives you 2 x(N/N) while golden deep blue gives you 1x(2N/2N) with N being the number of deep blues you have played] but you scale much faster because golden Zesty lets you play 1 extra deep blue per turn, which is 50% faster scaling. Then when you finally golden the deep blue, you give 50% more stats than in the other order. is this small tempo advantage of having slightly more stats for one round worth it to sacrifice 50% of your stat scaling for the rest of the game?
So a I think what youre missing is the fact that a golden spell is being created while you are also giving stats to zesty itself. so with golden zesty and normal blue you are getting 3x(n/n) with 3 spells a turn, where as golden blue with normal zesty you are getting 2 spells that give double stats so 2x(2n/2n) hopefully this helps!
Just to be clear though I still think youre right to golden zesty first as the scaling DOES outpace, but the thing is it is literally by only 1 deep blue which certainly does add up, but only 14/14 stats over 7 turns rly doesnt matter lol
I recently had a good game where I just froze a Lava Lurker in the shop and never rolled again, kept buffing it every round and because it keeps the first buff the numbers grew really big! Shellemental is the most fun card.
I played Lady Vashj with the golden buddy that gives you 2 spellcraft per minions with spellcraft in the tavern and froze 2 shelly , every turn 4 free shelly spellcraft plus my deep blue were already pretty buffed with all the free deep blues from the buddy ^^
