@7:30 when you start using disco shuffler, its better to activate lookout shuffler discovery: 1 minion[possible 2] with pirate, elemental, beast, dragon, murloc there are 18 battlecry minions only 2 give an extra minion[murloc and elemental] chances of getting either is 11% 11% 12% activate lookout: always at least 2 activating lookout also gives discovery stats for felfins

At 14:25 why did it not buff the discover murloc from the end of turn effect?

TLDR: YOU TEND TO OVERPAY A LOT FOR SPELLS AND DON'T SPEND GOLD VERY EFFICIENTLY. Hey Shady, love the vids! I initially wasn't gonna type this much but ended up getting carried away. Your general directional play in Battlegrounds is good, and as a fellow high MMR player, I think we'd both agree that general gameplay skill is more important for climbing than maybe doing one or two things inefficiently throughout the course of the game. That being said, this game in particular was more of what I think was an egregious compounding of these "minor mistakes" that ultimately prevented you from getting a first. I hope the following doesn't come off as super critical, I just wanted to share a different perspective on determining what to buy and why you buy it in really any comp. The main thing to point out is you seem to be very against rolling with Nalaa Portrait when you have a Land Lubber and settle for buying mediocre spells. Additionally, you seem to have a hyperfixation on Shell Whistler as a spell generator (my guess is because Strike Oil is so satisfying) when in reality, paying 2 gold to generate a random tier 2 spell when you have portrait is really not worth it. I'd argue the only real "good" outcome is Strike Oil. Chef's choice and Cry Foul are sort of neutral because you're paying regular price (even though you have Nalaa Portrait), and the rest of the outcomes are objectively net bad because either you're overpaying for the spell or the spell is bad. Here are some general examples: 8:12 - Freezing this shop the turn prior at 7:01 is fine IMO because you bought out the spells the previous turn despite the fact that I think the only real minion you're looking for is Land Lubber. Spending 9 gold on turn 10 for what is essentially just three individual shell whistlers without Bran is a huge waste of both gold and greater trinket value. I could see an argument if they were Rodeo Performers instead, but for reasons highlighted above, Shell Whistler is not good enough. However, I don't think this play is super egregious since I'd definitely understand doing this if you didn't have portrait. The more questionable play is buying the Echoing Roar in the same shop instead of making use of Lubber rolls. It's important to be cognizant about the number of Golden Nalaa procs you get per the amount of gold you spent. The stats from roar aren't relevant, so you should think about it more like paying 2 gold for a Nalaa proc. Would you rather have an Echoing Roar or two additional rolls to try to fish for a zero cost spell or another spell that returns value? I think the latter is better because you have Lubber, but it could be a toss up! 9:37 - Again, don't think freezing for a single Rodeo Performer and a Natural Blessing at 8:48 is worth it given the fact that you're giving up an auto golden Land Lubber refresh. 9:52 - For the same reasons buying Echoing Roar is bad, buying +8/+8 spell is also bad except now it's worse than before because you have a golden Lubber so you're sacrificing even more rerolls. 10:02 - Selling everything to buy Beanstalk is again not a good play because 3 gold for a Nalaa proc is definitely not worth it with portrait. 4 golden Lubber rolls are hands down better. Beanstalk is also not a good buy because the relative discount you're getting on the spell from Nalaa Portrait is not great. Additionally, I'm not too sure what you'd be looking for on tier 6 at this point besides another Nalaa, and the odds of hitting it are low since you've taken two out of the pool. 11:43 - Again, because you have golden Lubber, shell whistler is even worse of a buy than before. The Telescope buy at 11:55 is also bad because 2 gold for a Nalaa proc with likely no additional value is not good. 15:12 - Minor point but leveling to 6 here for 2 gold might actually be worth it. Saloon's Finest is by far the bet spell you can have and I feel like finding one already makes it worth. 15:35 - Pretty bad waste of 3 gold using the hero power instead of individually buying the spells. I was going to say buying the +4/+4 spell isn't worth it, but 3 gold for what is essentially 2 Nalaa procs is probably fine. 16:03 - I think you mention at 17:02 you forgot you were panda, but even if you were togwaggle, this board still might be a little bit too marginal to hero power even with the pair. Regardless, buying the Shell Whistlers is still a waste of money. 24:05 - Last gameplay point here, but because he's playing attack undead, your scaling doesn't matter unless it helps your units get to a breakpoint to survive an additional hit which it did not. Nalaa and amalgam should go. To conclude, I realize hindsight is always 20/20. My point nonetheless is that these marginal decisions still add up. At 13:15, if you had more stats instead of overpaying for Nalaa procs, you could have won and either killed the Ozumat or put him in an uncomfortable position moving forward. Regardless, if you made it this far, I hope my points about being cognizant of the amount of gold you spend on the decision to buy or not buy a spell was at least somewhat valuable!

Would it not have been better to trigger golden primalfin with disco shuffler instead of discovering a random battlecry? An extra buff for felfin, two guarunteed murlocs for bream counter, an extra gold to sell, and an extra minion played for phrasebook?
