Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I couldn’t have fixed my 15 year old workhorse without your video. I mailed my brother, an electronics technician 12 hours away, the original wires and he was able to replace the wires with the original connectors. I followed your video and was able to fix it myself. Not bad for an over 60 yr old woman from Canada!
Notice when putting this wire loom back in, the thin portion of the plastic, near where the loose ends of the eres are, gets slipped behind the outer portion of the body, such that you can see it protruding when you look at the hole where the wires pass through to finish the connection. I noticed that the thin portion of the loom has to be anchored tight against the inner side of the pivoting arm.
It looks to me like you reversed the red and white wires when reattaching to the yoke assembly. Do you know what the voltage is supposed to be at the yoke assembly?
My DC25 stopped randomly it won't turn back on. If you unplug it and touch the pins on the plug you get a nasty shock! Could that be the the switches? I changed the plug fuse checked all the connections inside all wires intact. Should I just replace all the switches?. Any advice would be appreciated.
A million thanks for this video!
Ordered your part off eBay and replaced mine today following your video. It’s now working, thank you 👍🏻

Thank you! Your video helped me on re-assembly after fixing another part.
Great video. Would you be able to make a video explain more about the correct positioning for the micro switch?

Would you be able to make a video on how to replace a wiring loom on a DC41 please?
Great vid... thanks a lot

Yes, he reversed the wires despite commentary to say beware of doing this. Should not matter though as it is an AC motor.
@@andyl2631that feeds the brush bar DC motor. Not an AC motor
