I'm still not a 100% sold on bullets that shed petals. I did shoot 2 deer with the 100 grain brass raptor in my 308 this year and they were devastating. Those bullets are way different with the way the petals fracture off and radiate outward. With copper bullets the petals seems to just follow the main wound tract. The cavity backs will certainly give you a much larger exit wound
@@Dfleuryoutdoors Well CE bullets are getting very popular for nasty game in Africa. People are using them for everything: buffalo, lion... in calibers up to .577 nitro. So they are effective. I think this is the future. They make shock when fracturing, then you have base with deep penetration. Nice channel btw. You have a sub.
Thanks for watching. I know these bullets are effective, but with copper bullets like cavity back and makers that give almost 3x expansion it's hard to say which design is superior. Each design has pros and cons, but I they are both certainly better than barnes.
@@Dfleuryoutdoors I agree. I guess CE bullets are so popular in africa coz you always get deep penetration no matter if it us Solid or fracturing. Hammer have similar style. But if you want only large cavity and limited penetration Maker is the way to go..as self defence or subsonic rifle bullet (like 8.6 blackout) Maker and similar is better option. I agree on Barnes...they should develop more, not just use same design forever. They are like Glock...stuck in the past fame. It was good design but they are better options now.

I think I still prefer Cavity Back 105s, but these did better than I expected. It seems like 6.8 bullets always surprise me.
