Your making me feel old, to call a 83 vintage! Lol! Great upload, thanks for showing the carbs pulled. It’s been a while since I have pulled and synchronized carbs!

Thank you from Germany Jon, your informations about the pump of the break in the back helped a lot, hopefully my GSX 1100, from 1983, GU 71 B, will be back on the road soon, engine started after 13 years and long cleaning of the carburator and and and .... :)

Good-looking bike, even the slab rear-end.

it looks like suzuki used master cylinder pressure to activate an anti dive mechanism in the forks.i wonder if it worked any better than the honda TRAC system.the one on my magna seems to work ok.but im pretty easy on the brakes.im NOT warping 300$ worth of rotors.i can go MANY miles on 300$ of gasoline instead.its looking good jon.am sure you'll have it running like new or better in no time.

I love this bike. I really wish I had more room. 👍
Right at the 3:40 mark, I think I would reverse the order the the rearward brake hoses to give the anti-dive hose a little more slack. Or is that the way they come from the factory?

That's the way they come. I think the fittings on the Spiegler lines are longer than the stock ones, resulting in the lines being a slightly tighter fit than I prefer.

@@jonsmotorcyclerescueandrev3538 I think reversing those two would loosen them up. Anyways, I don’t have the space plus I already have four bikes but I’ve been searching the internet and you can buy really nice examples of the gs1100e for $2500 to $3000. Fixer uppers go for about $1200.
      Hmmm 🤔
