Instant memories, For years anytime any song used synth in it i would just fall in love with the sounds and my mother use to laugh at me for liking it so much. Now its one of my fonder memories cuz lets face it she was the one who introduced me to a lot of it

I'm impressed how the emulator in this yamaha has Oberheim sounds(Eddie Van Halen), STYX.( Dennis DeYoung) bolth guys used OBERHEIM'S synthesizers& keyboards.

I knew some of them especially Tom Sawyer hahaha I'm a guy in a metal band but I completely love , love , love 80s rock....I play bass & guitar but I got myself a keyboard and I'm just watching these kind of videos to decide what songs should I learn to play

I'm buying a Yamaha Motif XF this week mostly because you have put these patches together. Yamaha should put you on tour ;) (I'm Replacing a Roland Juno2 I bought with my paper route money in 1984.) - It still runs but with your patches I can go from bringing 3 synths down to 1 to gigs :)

I bought a Motif just so I could have access to this guy's patch libraries... definitely worth it :) I wish more people were selling libraries like this. Frankly, I'm surprised an entire industry hasn't sprung up around this for all kinds of synths.
This guy popped up on the korgforums around Dec 2011, saying he was toying around with porting his 80's sounds to the Kronos, and hasn't posted since then. For shame :( Where you been, Rick? :P

@babar141 The sounds are very similar, almost identical, but I think they are BETTER on the ES and MO, because that is the engine I used to program these initially.

@ItCouldBeFatal I think the ES and XS are superb synths. I don't think I could do the range of sounds on another synth.
How did you set up the profiles to get these types of tone?
What parameters did you use for when its love, mainly in the echo or delay of the piano?
Hey Rick at Playkeyz it would be AWSOME if you could program all those sounds for either the Korg Triton series or better yet on the next generation King Kronos..I'm sure theirs many Korg fans that would love to have those sound sets for Korg keyboards...

Just came across this old tube clip, nice brief intros. I could not help but notice that the keyboard looked really dirty / dusty and this was uploaded 5 yrs ago. Wow did you just leave it standing and then decided to give a run or is it the filming making it look dirty? Just curious and no offence meant...

All Sounds Are Similar But Thriller is the most original tone that you used.
RICK, please connect with me about a custom sound. I bought your 80's sounds and have been enjoying many of them. I am in several tribute bands and utilize a lot of the patches. Now I'm in a Van Halen tribute band also and wanted Why Can't This Be Love. I love the other van halen sounds. Is this something I could get from you? The lead sound is easy enough but wanted a split with the pulse synth bass for the beginning in the left and I suck at using the motif. Thanks paul. pauly stax on FB.
