To be fair, they don't really interact all that much in a meaningful way. Most of Ais' stuff happens in Sword Oratoria, which I dropped halfway because it got too tedious and fan-servicey (not in the sexual way, but in character name-dropping and cameos). I think the point of the series is also Bell chasing after an ideal which is an illusion, both for himself and for Ais; it's setting him up to realize who he really cares for, and I don't think it's going to end up being Ais.

I think he still idolizes Ais (idolizes is different than love but he may not realize that yet) but he also loves Hestia (but there's too much worship in it) and Ryu. To tell the truth, Bell seems like that type of guy who loves ALL the girls but isn't the type who wants to own them. The problem with that is that if you DO actually LOVE one of them then you DO have to own them, from a certain perspective. I'm not saying this in a controlling way but you do need to bind her to you and you do need to start defending against threats. If you stay lukewarm the entire time then eventually everything goes cold and it all ends.
@@GeraldWalls I think while it's true he idolizes Aiz, he also wholeheartedly devoted only to Aiz, the passive status skill at his back "Liaris Freese" is the symbol and proof of that, it crystallizes all emotions which not even Goddesses like Freya nor Ishtar could charm Bell, not to mention his incredibly fast growth and level up was also because of that passive that manifested because of his adoration to Aiz as mentioned by Hestia in the very first season. Danmachi's Author also seems like he's planning for Aiz whole story to be the last Arc of Danmachi. So far, we still don't have the full picture of what was going on around Aiz specifically. Oratoria was only set-up as Loki Familia POV as well.
@@-Minoru-kun- For someone meant as an End Goal Final Love she sure hasn't been given that much of a personality (even in Oratoria) and hasn't had hardly any screen time. This is almost like, "Here's this very important character that we'll introduce right up front and then she won't be important again until the last four chapters." I don't doubt you are correct but for Christ's sake if she is this important she needs a damn role, even if minor. How are we supposed to feel for her over Ryu or Syr, or even Hestia who loves the shit out of Bell and has stated that she will spend the rest of eternity bringing his soul into her familia even though he will never remember being Bell. At this point Ais being the winning heroine just doesn't seem right. There are so many more deserving heroines.
@@GeraldWalls I don't know what personality you're looking for to her, but syr didn't have that much screen time either until this arc where they need to dive in of what was going on around her, the same thing for Ryuu, we also didn't know the full picture until they give her S4 Part II and Oratoria LN and Anime already shows Ais isn't that of a complete empty shell that doesn't feel anything at all towards Bell. The love of the Girls develops when one of the Girl's Arc turn and that's what happens to Ryuu. Ryuu wasn't really interested that much towards bell before S4, the feelings she had before her arc was that of only a "human" she respects. Though I totally get you about Hestia. Personally, for a Girl whose story that hasn't been tackled deeply yet, I think they've given enough Screentime and role to her in both Oratoria and the Main story compared to the other girls.
Well, it seems like Hedin (AKA Sgt. Hartman😂) intensive (read: “hellish”) training gave… unexpectedly positive results if I may say so… To be able to transform a dense and childish boy like Bell into a refined gentleman (read: “helpless womanizer”) it’s honestly an impressive achievement worthy of praise… I’m scared: this guy was already a menace INSIDE the dungeon, now he’s a gigantic “threat” also OUTSIDE… I think he’d be able to “rizz” basically everything that breathes: young girls, adult ladies… IT DOESN’T MATTER, NO ONE is safe with “New Bell” around😂😂😂 That scene with Cassandra killed me, I absolutely loved it😂😍😍: with the situation becoming more awkward with every second that passed and Daphne was simply spectacular, being the friend that ends up being “the third wheel” during a “date” with her mood that went from “extremely embarrassed” to “astonished” at Bell’s audacity Poor Ryu, I feel like she’s constantly piling up frustration and sadness, until she can’t take it anymore and ends up “exploding”, or that’s what I fear… It’s clear how subconsciously she doesn’t want Bell to go on a date with Syr but then she quickly denies it💔😭 I wouldn’t have thought in a million years that the moment would come where I would see Hestia and Aiz team up to “save” Bell (Hestia was like: “You are a threat, but right now I’m facing AN EVEN BIGGER threat”😂😂) I also feel quite sad for Syr: in the end she just wants to be freed from the “Freya Familia” (I think that she originally was just a “puppet” used by Freya to move freely, but then acquired a personality of her own and detached a bit from her, even if she’s still under the Goddess control… Interesting to notice how in the Familia seem to be different “factions” on the matter) P.S. The “Hestia Familia” girls in those maid outfits were something I didn’t realize how much I needed, until I saw them… They’re all really cute😍😍❤️

I'm I misrembering or didn't Bell and Hestia share a very touching moment where they declared their love for each other (in Bell's case it may have been more worship) when Hestia said that for eternity that she would find his soul and take him into her familia even though he didn't remember that he was Bell? I seem to remember this was in some arc where Hestia pretended to be a different banished goddess that a dying man loved, and then explained to Bell how reincarnation worked with humans detailing that even if they did meet in heaven the man would have no memories of his life and the shared love with his goddess. It was pretty touching but I don't remember exactly when it occurred.
