The Feather Kamisori razor with a guarded blade is a great way to learn how to use a shavette. After some practice I can shave as fast and closer than a de razor. It's an enjoyable skill to learn.

It seems u r very skilled but my personal feeling is these kind of straight razor cannot be used on intimate areas as u don't get the grip and may be end cutting oneself so here I feel de razor t shape might be of help .i like the way half blades is loaded on these razors .I wold like to suggest those branded companies to engineer a t shaped razor where half blades can be loaded in that clamped form and I request razor emporium to forward my sugestion to those branded companies.

@@gululala4351 Yes, it is not advisable to shave your dick and ball region with a shavette...I think this would be common knowledge

Hello Matt, I had used other kind of shavette. This use a full razor blade. The only care that I should have is use razor blade that have numbers. The first two weeks of the month, I will use the edge #1. The last two weeks, I will use the edge #2. In the second month the firsts two weeks the edge #3. And the last two weeks of the second month, the edge #4. Of course, we should have time, no hurry, no pressure when we shave with this kind of razor.

I use a parker shavette. Someone made a comment a few videos ago about a shavette and I hadn't used mine in forever and now I'm back to using it all the time. It's like a laser. My SR has a different sensation because it's so much bigger but the shavette doesn't give any feedback. It just takes off the hair in one swoop. I see the feather has to use its own brand blade style.

Speaking strictly for myself I'm perfectly happy with my double edge razors. As someone who's visually impaired I think something like this could be extremely dangerous for me lol

The guarded blades are great and I highly recommend that option..I own an Irving barber company razor which takes artist club and kai captain blades (same thing different brands), injector blades and half de blades aka saloon blades.
Once you get the hang of shavettes you'll love them.
I barely use safety razors anymore.

You did miss one, the easiest to load of all: the "folding door" style that takes an entire DE blade. Gordon sells one for instance. It's PERFECT for beginners, you cannot get the blade misplaced. When you're done using one side, just open it up, flip the blade 180 degrees, use it again. I also got a quite decent one from Temu in aluminium, similar loading mechanism. There's also the razorine but it's certainly not for beginners.

Two other shavettes: Irving Barber Co., Vanta There are probably numerous others...
When snapping DE blades should the bent edges face in or out. Or doesn't it matter? I know one razor (Focus) had them facing a certain way...
Did you have another video where you explain the benefits of one razor style over another? Ease of use, comfort, efficiency, etc...
I would think Feather Artist Club blades in a Feather SS would be a more comfortable starting point for beginners (due to the blade thickness, plus five styles) than Feather Hi-Stainless blades in many shavettes, though those are more affordable. But which would be most user-friendly, efficient and comfortable for advanced users? A Feather Professional Super blade in a Feather DX (not a cheap option!) or your favorite shavette with a Feather Hi-Stainless? Is there a noticeable difference in shave results between both styles?
I wish there were more options of single edge safety razors using the Feather Professional Super blades -- due to efficiency and comfort.
You probably don't have many (if any) requests for a such a razor designed by Razor Emporium.
Details about the Feather Artist Club blades:
Professional Light (PL-20): 0.254mm blade thickness, 7.4mm blade depth, 0.6mm blade exposure in DX razor, 0.4mm blade exposure in SS/SR razors
Professional Soft Guard (PSF-15): 0.15mm blade edge thickness, 8mm blade depth, 1.2mm blade exposure in DX razor, 1.0mm blade exposure in SS/SR razors
Pro Guard (PG-15): 0.15mm blade edge thickness, 8mm blade depth, 1.2mm blade exposure in DX razor, 1.0mm blade exposure in SS/SR razors
Professional (PB-20): 0.254mm blade thickness, 8mm blade depth, 1.2mm blade exposure in DX razor, 1.0mm blade exposure in SS/SR razors
Professional Super (PS-20): 0.31mm blade thickness, 8.2mm blade depth, 1.45mm blade exposure in DX razor, 1.25mm blade exposure in SS/SR razors

I'm guessing you don't sell the cartridge type shavette that has a slide out cartridge where you drop the blade into the cartridge..
Also the Turkish razor(Turkish style razor)and the IBC razor that takes saloon blades aka half de blades, injector blades and artist club blades.
So those are three kinds you didn't cover..

All of the shavettes seem to be very easy to load with a blade. Haven’t tried a shavette, might have to give one a go one day. At the moment I’m enjoying shaves from a Gillette Super 109. I think it shaves better than my slim

  • @AliAkbarzadeh6
    @AliAkbarzadeh6 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

There are two other types of Shavette: one with a slightly Different Kind of Razor Blade which will take half of a Longer Double-Edge Razor Blade, and the other with a Different Mechanism for Loading the Razor Blade which is like the Scissor Style Shavetts but with a Sliding Mechanism in which you pull a Metal or Plastic Magazine out (from the side) and put the Half of a Normal (Standard Size) Razor Blade in the Magazine and push it back inside the Shavette.
And of course, each of these Types, Styles or Mechanisms could be slightly different from one Manufacturer, Brand or Model to another.
