- Completely designed and made in Italy, the Bayonetta safety razor represents the latest creation by the Goodfellas’ smile. This extraordinary razor combines elegance and precision in details, entirely crafted using CNC machining in uncoated CW510L brass with a satin-finished sandblasted effect.
The Bayonetta safety razor consists of three separable parts (handle, plate, and cap) and offers a gentle, yet effective shaving experience, thanks to its 0.65 mm gap and a positive exposure of 0.15 mm. The handle, measuring 87 mm in length and 13 mm in diameter, joins the head, which is 43 mm wide, for a total assembled razor length of 95 mm and a weight of 99 grams. Check on out Below.

Greetings from Bulgaria! A small country in Europe. Probably you never heard about it :). I really like your videos!
Awesome! Thank you!
I've heard 0f it. Many great power lifters have come out of Bulgaria.
@@steelheart4148 that was more in the past, but true. Now we have one guy. His name is Carlos Nassar! He is a beast
A Lot of Bulgarians here bro. ❤❤❤
Nice Saturday morning drop! Great shave as always! The price point is surprisingly low for a brass cnc razor, it seems. I've been interested in Goodfellas since your shave with the Styletto, but I haven't pulled the trigger on buying one yet. Feeling like this review might give me trigger finger though...
#OhioShavesGoodfellas
Normally I'd be all about specs and technical details... But when it comes to razors, it turns out I'm just a sucker for shiny things.
🤣
Great video Dave! Congrats for ten thousand plus subscribers! Very few shaving TH-camrs get there, but you deserve it because you make higher quality videos. Love your tip on adding more water to the lather, will try it out! Have a great weekend!
Thank you kindly!
Lovely shave Dave❤👍🏾. The brass razor is truly beautiful and the shave looks so smooth and stress free. The performance reminds me of the Parker 78R with a blade exposure of 0.10mm . I still enjoy the awesome efficiency of the Parker and imagine this Goodfellas to be better. Thanks Dave for another instructive shave video. Looking forward to winning your stuff one of these days.😊👍🏾
Thanks 👍
Fantastic shave
Thanks, Paul
Gotta say David, your videos on Saturdays are something I look forward to every week! Love the style of the brass on this razor, and have been wanting to check out one of these GFS razors for a long time now! Looks like it shaves great! Fingers crossed that this is the time I get lucky hahaha! Keep on keeping on brother #OhioShavesGoodfells

Great shave David, viewing from across the pond. New to wet shaving and your channel is an inspiration, thank you very much and keep it up.
#OhioShavesGoodfellas
wonderful shave and discussion David, best wishes dapper shaves
Thanks, brother
As a new wet shaver, the angle really is everything! The Rex Envoy was pretty challenging on my skin till I found the right angle and now I enjoy it. I promised myself not to buy another razor for some time after ordering the Blackbird Lite but this razor sure looks a lot better in video than photos I have seen of it. I also have a Goodfellas Syntesi Velvet which I like. I love the flat cap, the Aluminum is lighter than I would like so I might try their Stainless version eventually. Goodfellas makes good stuff. I use their Sea Citrus soap and love it.
Thanks for sharing your experience
Nivea also have a non-alcohol lotion.I love lotions, but most of them have alcohol in them, so this is great stuff

Great shave David, watching from across the pond in the UK. New to wet shaving and recently picked up a safety razor for the first time, this would take me up a notch. Your channel has been an inspiration and the detail you go into is perfect. Thank you for all that you do and keep it up.

#OhioShavesGoodfellas It’s really awesome to see companies using different materials for razors. Different grades of stainless and anodized aluminum are amazing but that brass is beautiful, it would be cool to see what kind of patina it develops over time. Thank you also for speaking on tips and tricks in general as you experience these razors. The shared knowledge is great for us new to DE shaving.

Thanks for the review mate face lather with preshave on a few days growth is always the way to go. In my opinion the more water you add the lather the better until it really really pops. I put my soap on dry with a dryer brush and then add water that way I get more product on my face and the water makes a really think later. Usually go to the soap at least twice for both sides of the face and have full coverage. One the lather has popped I paint on another layer of water while I prep my razor then go back for a final go at the lather. My soaps still last a really long time even though I use more soap than most people. Main soaps I use are proraso, Dr Harris, Cella, Tabac and TOBS. Don't have alot of choices for the more artesian soaps here in Australia.
Thanks for the tip brother. Very informative.

Most of what you describe about your lather is how I do too, for face-lather. MORE WATER usually is helpful.

Hi David, great review. You a great estimator of Rockwell, like me. If I'd ask you to compare Bayonetta to a plate of 6S or to T2, which # would you assign?
Thanks. Three or four plate

I'm sure the manufacturers know what they're talking about when it comes to specs, however, YMMV when it comes down to personal experience with a product. As for the Goodfellas, I've been interested, but have not yet pulled the trigger on one. You've deffinitely peaked my interest. I also have my first all Brass modern razor on it's way from Mike over at ShieldRazors. Great video as usual!!! #OhioShavesGoodfellas

I like the RazoRock models in the 0.8 to 0.95 gap range......not for blade feel (don't look/like that) but for efficiency. If you have ever tried any of those, how does this compare.... Thx
They haven’t reached out to me for a review. Possibly in the future.
Does brass have a smell also does it have different feel ?
No smell. I couldn't notice a difference and feel
It's cool how you could actually hear the difference between the blades. And I love a good patina!
#OhioShavesGoodfellas
Nice razor for sure. I agree I could hear the difference as well.

That is a really beautiful razor man! Brass with matte finish and a simple handle design. Simplicity at it best man. Does your alum block develop little rough spots? Mine seems to and it feels terrible scratching across my face post shave. #OhioShavesGoodfellas

Have gotten into wet shaving recently and have found your videos super helpful. Thanks for the vids. #ohioshavesgoodfellas
You're welcome and thanks for all your support. What razor and blade combination are you currently using?
@@OhioShaves I have very sensitive skin thats prone to ingrown hairs so I started with a van der hagen since it was a cheap option to try things out with. But I have a Henson al13 in transit right now. I did a sample pack of blades so I’ve tried about 6-7 blades and have had the best results with astra blues.
The van der hagen isn’t great and I can tell one side shaves better than the other. I think there’s an inconsistency to the bend in the blade. Excited to try the al13, should have it by the end of the week.
Wonderful shave! There's something about the brass razors, they look classy. #OhioShavesGoodfellas
I think so too
how many times u can shave with the same blade ?
I just use them once and then throw them away. Some people get anywhere from 4 to 5 shaves out of one blade. I’ve heard of some people getting 10 to 20 shaves.
@@OhioShaves why u throw them awy if it still sharp !! is it made for only one shave ?
@@mahmoudmabrouk-9202 I review razors, so I use a brand new blade every time. I don't want to use a old blade and get a terrible shade because it was not sharp

@@OhioShaves ❤
I just got the Goodfellows Syntesi stainless steel. It’s very smooth
For sure. It's a great razor.
Nice shave, David! I think the answer is a bit more complicated, but it largely comes down to the razor and blade combo that you are using and then also what you are using to hydrate and slicken your face. Specs of a razor can be somewhat useful in determining what you "might" get out of a shave, but the blade is also very important too because that also determines how aggressive or not the shave can be. My Karve Overlander, for example, has a 0.73mm Blade Gap & 0.07mm Blade Exposure...whereas the Bronze SB Timeless that I recently got has a .38mm Blade Gap & 0.05mm Blade Exposure.
Looking at this on paper, you'd think that the Overlander would be more aggressive than the Timeless, especially when considering Blade Gap. But given how sensitive my skin is (and testing with many blades), I would dare say that the Overlander is extremely smooth compared to the Timeless. Overall, the Overlander is more efficient (even when looking at specs) but the Overlander is also MAD SMOOTH with almost any razor I put in it and I don't get that with the Timeless some times. As a matter of fact, the Overlander is the ONLY razor I can use with a Feather blade out of every razor I've tried and I don't get any real nicks, cuts, irritation...nothing and I get the smoothest shave of my life. I try that with almost anything else, I have to REALLY take my time shaving to not cause too many issues because the blade is so sharp.
I haven’t had a good shave with any Krave razor
@@OhioShaves -- Different strokes for different folks, I guess. I haven't tried the Christopher Bradley razor because of all the different plates and I wasn't sure where to even begin, but the Overlander was a one and done sort of thing and many people talked about the "mild yet efficient" nature of it and so I bit the bullet and it worked out very, very well for me. I did send it to get rhodium plated to add a bit of slickness to it (I'm not crazy about satin or matte finishes), but it was a great razor from Day One for me, so I'm happy. 😁
Gorgeous razor; you look quite comfortable with whatever degree of blade feel on that one! #OhioShavesGoodfellas
Thank you kindly!
Ohio shaves, great shave with a beautiful razor. Beautiful Italian craftsmanship!!!!!!

Shaving has become such a joy, I can hardly wait the 2 or 3 days required for my hair to grow back. I’ve never looked forward to self-care as much as I have when shaving with a good, precise safety razor.
Great to hear from you. Are you going to Maggart for the wet shave meetup this month
#ohioshavesgoodfellas beauty, love to see a nice brass razor. Also that soap looks like it whips up fast.

If blade exposure and blade gap mean for a particular razor "supposed to be aggressive", but it is not, then does blade cutting edge angle make the difference? My guess is, yes.

I'm really loving my brass Yates Merica. I didn't think I would like the brass but it's really grown on me. The handle on the Bayonetta really does stand out.
Looking at your video it sure does look like it shaves with the same similarity despite the different specs. The one thing this is always a positive about your videos is when your testing a new razor, you stick with your baseline instead of mixing it up. I honestly couldn't tell the difference between the two blades except maybe a tinge more alum feedback on the comfort coat side?
I can appreciate the price point on the Bayonetta as well. I would have figured it'd be at least 15-20 dollars more just on the way it shaved.
Fun video.
Thanks brother
just wonder how to know i'm having the right angel ... still don't know what is the feeling of "start bite" ( 2 weeks experience), i know everyone said 30 degree, but u know, how to i know it is correct ??
The greatest thing you can do is listen to the feedback of the razor. Play with the angle till it starts to cut the hair on your face. The sound of the razor will let you know when you have the correct angle. Hope this helps.
@@OhioShaves cool , let me try it now :P thx ( actually it sound interesting - " the razor will tell u are u use it right " love this personal feel )
@@hohoakiraI’m still new as well I started after this past Christmas and for me I can tell by how clean the cutting feeling is, like if it’s pulling to much probably not right.
If the razor cuts hair the angle is right. If the razor does not cut the hair, the angle is wrong. This is intuitive built-in for me.
Start with the plate flat to your face “ riding the cap/plate” then slowly alter the angle until you feel the bite and whiskers are being removed, if it’s removing growth then you’re doing something right!!
Love your videos man, I’ve learned a lot :) #OhioShavesGoodfellas
