I have both, compared them precisely. 100% the same. Same smell, same performance, same stages from opening to dry-down. The juice is 100% the same, don't worry. Also, the non magnetic bottle is quite nice, still. This perfume is just all-season perfection, enjoy it!
i have the 2022 batch and when i first spray it it has an alcohol smell to it (it goes away). is this also with the older batches? and also alot of people say the newer batches are nothing like the old ones. so i dont know what to believe..
Interesting. I think they were trying to save a few bucks by doing that while preserving the juice. I'd rather they cut costs with the packaging than the juice itself
Really glad that you've done this video, I bought a back ip bottle of this, however when I realised the changes in the bottle it made me question weather it had been reformulated, glas you've cleared this up. I'd much rather they cheap out the bottle as apposed to the fragrance itself
I actually just bought a 75ml bottle and was inspecting it to see if it was real because I know this fragrance gets faked and the top was magnetic and the writing was not shiny so it must of been an in-between old and new (and yes it was genuine) and by the way I think it's one of the best men's colognes ever made.

But not all magnetic cap Profumo are the same because aqua di gio Profumo came out in 2015 and they discontinue the magnetic cap only in 2021 so the juice had already been reformulated before every started talking about the cap.

This along with some other online videos about what to look for with fakes has reassured me it is not. I will miss that magnetic cap. But if it had to go for price purposes fair enough.

I wrote Armani a few month ago about the discontinued rumors floating around, which in reality is just shipping issues because of the pandemic. No different than walmart or any other store having inventory issues. But I digress, Armani emailed me back and said that they were not discontinuing profumo but we're discontinuing the 6.08 oz bottles. I fortunately have one, as well as a 4.2oz. So you may want to check in to where your bottle came from. There are some red flags there that you may have purchased a counterfeit.
@@Abudness performance is good, 12 hrs at least. I wore it for the first time this year a couple of days ago and could still smell it on my clothes the next day a good 24 hours after I put it on. Its worth a blind buy but go into a store and test it or buy a sample you won't be disappointed.

I love the smell of Profondo but I can’t get it to perform well. I can’t smell it after a couple of hours even on clothes. In terms of smell it is fantastic. I am using Polo Blue EDP instead as it lasts a lot longer on me.

Juice remains the same though Edit - the new juice is like 90% similar to the old. Armani has taken away the magical hit you in the face with strong incense opening. So glad I still have 75% left (200ml) in the old one

I had the Blue De Chanel so I compared it and it was all legit so I didn't bother looking at this one until I got home. I got a major deal though 👍. Kid wasn't into colognes so he just wanted money.
Ive checked ingridient code and it is the same as on the old batch it is on the back of the bottle idk if i called it right. My old one is from 2019 and new one is 6 months old or someting like that. Sorry for bad spelling if there is one English is my second language.

New bottle is like a mix between the old bottle and the standard 40ml bottle. The 40ml one always had the white writing and non-magnetic cap as far as I know, but it didn't have the metal plate at the bottom
Definitely not fake. I bought a new bottle yesterday and it no longer has a magnetic cap and the writing has changed from shiny silver to matte finish. I got unbelievably positive reaction from people on my first wearing! 👍🏼
Yes. My newest is not the same scent, doesn't project as much (my former bottles were bomb frags) nor have the longevity. Do not blind buy new one, imo.

The current version of this is a disgrace. I bought it on sale recently from Armani Beauty and returned it promptly. Watered down crap. Save your money. The Fragrance houses are taking the consumers for a ride.
I think they changed the formula a bit when they removed the magnetic cap to try and make it a bit more mass appealing.. If you remember please share your feelings on it when you open your new bottle :)
I bought last week Armani Acqua di Gio Profumo 180 ml at Notino. The odd thing was that it did not has magnetic cap unlike the ones i bought in 2018-2019 at Douglas. So i contacted Notino. They told me that L´Oreal has changed the outlook of the bottle, meaning no magnetic cap. I sprayed my left arm with this new one and my right arm with the old version at 14:00 pm. It is as i thought. Armany has reformulated the new one. My right arm still smells good, not much with my left arm. No smells at all. Or Notino sold me fake ones.
A friend of mine has the bottle with silver letters and magnetic cap and I have the one with magnetic cap but grey letters. I feel like mine is alot stronger because I put 4 sprays of mine on and 6 of his and my bottle smelt stronger but who know he says he puts 12 plus sprays and I only put 4 and thought I was checking people out.
Just received a non magnetic cap bottle (from Sephora) as a back up to the original magnetic cap AND the non magnetic cap bottle is definitely toned down from the original. I asked my kid to smell them both and sure enough, she said one was lighter than the other. It still smells great nonetheless.
I also tried both and the new bottle smelt lighter in the opening, but after the drydown it was indistinguishable from the old one. Have you tried comparing them after the drydown?

Got my bottle in March 2023, perfomance and projection really bad, even weaker than the Bvlgari pour homme extreme. I don't own older version of acqua di gio profumo, so I can't compare that way. But it's even weaker than versace pour homme. I will return my acqua di gio profumo for refund.

does anyone own both profumo and issey miyake l'eau d'issey pour homme intense? (the black and gray bottle). i only own the latter, but when i hear the description/notes of profumo, it would lead me to believe they're quite similar
They're very similar, Issey intense was actually probably the inspiration for adg profumo. If you add more marine notes to the intense, dial down the smokiness of the incense just a bit, replace the citruses with just bergamot and the papyrus with patchouli, you basically get adg profumo. Very similar vibe and both perfect for summer nights. I wear the intense for everyday stuff and save the profumo for weekends and special occasions

Mine is great, I don't think there has been any reformulations yet even with the newer non magnetic cap bottles, newer bottles just need time to mature a bit before they smell right. Although I haven't tried the "new" batches, and may never since I have 2 backups of magnetic cap batches lol. But if you look at the ingredients list, it's the same.
I got a 75 ml profumo bottle, batch number says made in 2021, has white letters and magnetic cap, maybe the small ones still got the magnetic cap, who knows, I´m confused.

Last year i bought a 125 ml profumo from a "legit" Spanish website. What i got was a white font magnetic bottle with a dodgy plaque at the bottom. I even contacted Armani and they said the writing should be silver (but somehow i even doubted their anwser). Not i see u have one like me but WITHOUT a magnetic cap lmao.. What are these clowns doing? Also i advice no one buys this perfume because it did not perform .. Profondo was very solid but i could not stand the egg smell so i sold it off.. We sadly live in an era where companies are extremely greedy and wont offer u quality for long.. The prices for Armani are already too high and now this..

Definitely not fake. I bought a new bottle yesterday and it no longer has a magnetic cap and the writing has changed from shiny silver to matte finish. I got unbelievably positive reaction from people on my first wearing! 👍🏼

Yes. My newest is not the same scent, doesn't project as much (my former bottles were bomb frags) nor have the longevity. Do not blind buy new one, imo.

The current version of this is a disgrace. I bought it on sale recently from Armani Beauty and returned it promptly. Watered down crap. Save your money. The Fragrance houses are taking the consumers for a ride.
Same for me, it's like there is almost no incence in it at all. Smells more like the og than profumo :p

I think they changed the formula a bit when they removed the magnetic cap to try and make it a bit more mass appealing.. If you remember please share your feelings on it when you open your new bottle :)

I bought last week Armani Acqua di Gio Profumo 180 ml at Notino. The odd thing was that it did not has magnetic cap unlike the ones i bought in 2018-2019 at Douglas. So i contacted Notino. They told me that L´Oreal has changed the outlook of the bottle, meaning no magnetic cap.
I sprayed my left arm with this new one and my right arm with the old version at 14:00 pm. It is as i thought. Armany has reformulated the new one. My right arm still smells good, not much with my left arm. No smells at all. Or Notino sold me fake ones.

A friend of mine has the bottle with silver letters and magnetic cap and I have the one with magnetic cap but grey letters. I feel like mine is alot stronger because I put 4 sprays of mine on and 6 of his and my bottle smelt stronger but who know he says he puts 12 plus sprays and I only put 4 and thought I was checking people out.

Just received a non magnetic cap bottle (from Sephora) as a back up to the original magnetic cap AND the non magnetic cap bottle is definitely toned down from the original. I asked my kid to smell them both and sure enough, she said one was lighter than the other. It still smells great nonetheless.
I also tried both and the new bottle smelt lighter in the opening, but after the drydown it was indistinguishable from the old one. Have you tried comparing them after the drydown?

I never liked this perfume even though I tried so much to like it. I think it has been hiped un proportionally.
Got my bottle in March 2023, perfomance and projection really bad, even weaker than the Bvlgari pour homme extreme. I don't own older version of acqua di gio profumo, so I can't compare that way. But it's even weaker than versace pour homme. I will return my acqua di gio profumo for refund.

Now i know that it is not fake BUT, I sprayed old one on my right and new one to my left hand and THERE ARE DIFFERENCIES!!! NEW one is moore sweet... does anyone own both profumo and issey miyake l'eau d'issey pour homme intense? (the black and gray bottle). i only own the latter, but when i hear the description/notes of profumo, it would lead me to believe they're quite similar
They're very similar, Issey intense was actually probably the inspiration for adg profumo. If you add more marine notes to the intense, dial down the smokiness of the incense just a bit, replace the citruses with just bergamot and the papyrus with patchouli, you basically get adg profumo.
Very similar vibe and both perfect for summer nights. I wear the intense for everyday stuff and save the profumo for weekends and special occasions

@@blackknightdl I have the magnetic cap, early 2021 batch. Mine is great, I don't think there has been any reformulations yet even with the newer non magnetic cap bottles, newer bottles just need time to mature a bit before they smell right. Although I haven't tried the "new" batches, and may never since I have 2 backups of magnetic cap batches lol. But if you look at the ingredients list, it's the same.

Last year i bought a 125 ml profumo from a "legit" Spanish website. What i got was a white font magnetic bottle with a dodgy plaque at the bottom. I even contacted Armani and they said the writing should be silver (but somehow i even doubted their anwser). Not i see u have one like me but WITHOUT a magnetic cap lmao.. What are these clowns doing? Also i advice no one buys this perfume because it did not perform .. Profondo was very solid but i could not stand the egg smell so i sold it off.. We sadly live in an era where companies are extremely greedy and wont offer u quality for long.. The prices for Armani are already too high and now this..
