- How to spot fake Armani Acqua Di Gio Profumo Perfume
On the back of the box we find several differences.
The lid of the original perfume is magnetic, for the fake one the lid is not magnetic.
The bottle of the original perfume has an engraved code, if this engraved code is not identical to the one on the box ... the perfume is fake.

I also got mine online from a pretty reliable discounter and it does not have a magnetic cap. Batch code is from 2022.

it's not the same in terms of weight... the weight is different... look in my videos section, I made a newer video... now the original perfume comes without the magnetic cap, they changed it...
I saw your message on Facebook... for 75 ml there are no fakes... it has a magnet... this means that it is older than the manufacturing date
The biggest clue that it is fake is because the box and the bottle of the fake both say 100ml and this fragrance doesn't come in 100ml.
I have a bottle with a magnetic cap and a newer bottle without. Both smell exactly the same and longevity is same. Newer bottles do not have magnetic caps.

hello, I bought the 125 milliliter ones. There is a magnetic cap, but there is no number on the bottom of the box and on the bottom of the perfume box. I bought a 6.08 oz bottle from a reputable department store but on the front of the box it says “Vaporisateur Spray” not “Vaporisateur Natural Spray”. On the Giorgio Armani website it shows the box having “Vaporisateur Natural Spray” as well. Did I get a fake?

@@FakeCip yes the code is there. It’s not embossed like in the video but it is engraved on both the box and bottle. I bought it from Macy’s and I know they don’t sell fakes I think I’m just being paranoid. Thank you for your reply and great content!

@@Avocado818 40 ml bottles don't have a magnetic cap, I've juat purchased 125ml, from a reputable online retailer, but even that one doesn't have a magnetic cap, maybe the manufacturer changed it...
@@davidcelestino1116 it's real then. Maybe the smaller sizes dont have magnetic caps. Bought 125ml the other day, still magnetic cap. Also I feel its lasts a little less then my previous ones. Bought first in 2015 then 2017. They may have changed the formula slightly..

You only need to check if it's 100ml to know it is fake because Profumo was only released in 40, 75, 125, 180ml formats.
I saw in another video the cap magnet only allows the cap logo to be perpendicular. My bottle seems to be original, and the magnet for my cap is original but the angle it locks the cap in is not perpendicular. I suspect my bottle had been opened to water the fragrance down for retail. Fyi when i bought my acqua di gio profumo, the seller mentioned that it was factory rejected.

no, you don't have to worry .. I've encountered such cases before ... but they made a significant discount ... otherwise stay calm, it's a great perfume.
@@FakeCip I know factory rejects can mean faulty bottle or print on the bottle, but rejects include faulty scents? Cause my acqua di gio seems very weak, after 5 mins after spray i can only smell it if my nose is close to the area of contact.

My perfume is like the real one, except the serial number, i dont have any serial number on the bottom of the bottle. What does that mean?
@@FakeCip my flame symbol on the back is different from both your fake and real. It doesn’t have magnetic cap though. My box on the bottom does have engraved numbers too. It does say C/PAP instead of PAP. I also have different codes than both your bottles. Is it real or fake?

I like this channel, but it needs to have some updates or else its going to mislead a lot of people. The new Profumo doesn't have a magnetic cap and the text is now matte on the bottle not shiny. The biggest red flag for a fake is if the box says 100ml they don't come in that size.

I just bought one from a genuine seller. (L’Oréal Aust)
However, everything pretty much lines up with the genuine. But the only thing that seems changed or different, is the magnetic cap. It isn’t magnetic anymore it seems.. same as the Profundo one I have

You right armani had replaced starting in 2021 the magnetic cap with screw one and the writing is no longer a shine silver one
@@fbm9001 even though the Profumo is running out/discontinued… with the good reviews… hence why I purchased on… but I must say… I’m a bit disappointed in the scent as well as it’s longevity.
The profundo to me is better.

yes I sell originals, but I would advise you to take eau de parfum or perfume ... the intensity of the perfume is different, it lasts longer and it is much stronger

I'm pretty sure I have the real deal because the bottle is real but it just doesn't smell that good. It has this spicy smell at first that lasts for an hour or 2 and then it starts to smell pretty good but it takes awhile. I'm worried I have a fake because of that reason. I wish I had a different one to compare it to as it's my first bottle. The smell straight from the bottle is that spicy smell. I don't know how else to explain it.

Take it to a store like sephora, spray yours in one hand and theirs in the other to compare

How to check product has been reformulated and not magnetic cap..it is real? My batch is 12/22 version
if it doesn't have a magnetic cover it's a fake… it only comes deep without a magnetic cover
But how now many rumours about this profumo has been reformulated and no longer magnetic cap are sure it is fake?

@@ivyx7346 i usually buy higher end fragrances from retailers but recently purchased from fragrancex and both bottles seemed legit boxes were in perfect condition bottles were new and the scent lasted a very long time the two i bought were versace signature and bvlgari atlantique both last 8+ hours on my skin. Will be buying more from discounters.

@@fighter1991fu the site I was ordering from had mixes reviews so I had to check. The box was different (the logo on the top) and you couldn't see how much liquid is inside because the bottle wasn't transparent. But the smell actually was really similar.

hello hoping you can help.. I ordered a bottle of profumo off of eBay and just got it .. i sprayed it on my arm and it smells nice but it's only been an hour and I can barely smell it .. I've watched this video and the bottom of my bottle is all black and also the cap is cheap plastic and not magnetic at all.. however when I used the scanner app on my phone for the barcode it came up as aqua di gio profumo so I'm not sure .. are you on Instagram I can send you photos of all the packaging and labels .. thank you for your help
