As a 23-year-old church kid going through a divorce, I didn’t know how to feel or if I was even allowed to feel all the “bad” emotions. I thought I needed to be strong, to have faith, to trust God…
I didn’t know it was ok to not be ok.
I didn’t know I could pray really honest, ugly prayers full of doubt and anger and fear.
This song is our way of trying to make sure you don’t feel so alone in your suffering. We want you to know that not only can you feel all of your feelings, but God can handle them, too.
Yes, there is a time to heal and surrender & trust God to transform you through the fire, but for now…

I've never heard Christian music like this before. I am so so grateful. Sometimes I can listen to Christian music, and it can make me feel more frustrated sometimes. Walking with God and going through the motions is not real trust. Real trust is being aware of your difficult emotions, believing God's word about your situation, and choosing to make a decision on what you will believe. These songs helps you to first become aware of your emotions and seeing God in it. Thank you guys for letting God use you!

Needed this today...been standing for my prodigal spouse for seven years after I received a promise from God.
In NJ and just had a 4.8 earthquake....events like that make it so much more real about who you do and don't have in your life.
Waiting on His timing and reminding myself it is perfect, is so hard for me when so much more around me seems to be crashing down amidst my stand. My faith is being stretched in every area of life that I know....Mercy God. Please God mercy on my family.
Don’t stop believing in the promise God has in store for you! Don’t stop praying for the prodigal to come home! Trust in HIS timing! I am believing for the same miracle in our own family. God spoke early on in this for me to stand for our marriage and fight on my knees in prayer. Praying for you to remain steadfast and not lose hope in the God of miracles. One of my favorite resources is by Bob and Charlyne Steinkamp. May you find a community of Christ-followers who will pray fervently with you.
@@user-wg8yw6xh2y Thank you for the encouragement. I have been standing since 2017. I wavered a bit after the divorce was final in 2021. I was introduced to the Steinkamp family by another stander in 2022 and amidst other confirmations, God confirmed my stand. Yes, without having family around me or many other people who "understand" fighting for a marriage post-divorce...wanting me to just "find happiness" it gets very lonely from time to time. We are lost sheep without a shepherd so often....we forget his mercies. Thank you for "seeing" me.

My wife just divorced me; and now I’m a mess. This song describes exactly how my emotions are swirling around in my head. I am putting my complete trust in God, knowing that He will get me through this.

This. “I’m not ok. Is that ok with you?” That part wrecked me. Cause he’s teaching me that he can handle my bitterness and resentment towards him. So long as I bring my true feelings to him, he can make something out of them and I will get to the other side of the grief of my complex childhood Ptsd.

I was really not ok after many failures ..and always troubled that is it ok to not be okay and can i be honest with Jesus that am not okay and it's hard to bring my faith as I was in past!! This song really helped me to know it's ok to not be okay and I can be honest with Jesus about how I feel and He will help me out of this ❤ Thank you guys ur songs have been a blessing to me ❤

I want to do more like this and share more stories/music like this on my own channel, I went through a horrific time in my life, experienced trauma and loss and heartache, and it's hardest when it involves people we love right? I know what that feels like. But God is going to PROPEL YOU into your destiny from a place of being completely healed and honest with him. You can trust him, and obviously you know this ❤❤

So was David, then, I suppose. But since God saw to it the publishing of all of his psalms where he cried day and night to God while he was suffering, I believe this is in good order.
I bought the whole CD today. We are called to comfort others with the comfort we ourselves received during trials. I'm encouraged by this couple who separated and were restored and chose to make these beautiful songs as their testimony. I pray you find encouragement somewhere, too 💛
