Thank you Brian for taking the time to do this awesome video! I really appreciate it. I hope you had fun buying socks while controlling your train 🚂 😂.
Dreaming of a LEGO smart home now. Pressing a button on an app and activating some control lab rube goldberg contraption to... I now realize I have no clue what I want to automate whilst away. But I'm sure the possibilities are enormous!
If I had a time machine I would give myself this thing just to see what I would come up with. I made many machines as a kid like a rube goldberg contraption gumball machine, an alarm system for my room and various mechanisms to turn out the light while I was in bed. I wish I still had half the creativity I had back then!
It depends on a lot of factors such as a person's location. I've found good deals on the Control Lab interface itself (as low as $20) but they do take a while to find. The actual set will vary quite a bit and some will have the wires with rubber insulation which will need repairs or the plastic insulation which won't. I always tell people to cast a wide net, check multiple auction sites at least once a week and see if they pop up for a good price. A little patience / diligence can save a ton of money for something like this
